**Julie** Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 Esther sees positives in lesbian line Sunday Herald Sun May 3 2009 ESTHER Anderson will make her debut on the Logies red carpet, weeks after the star was thrust into the public spotlight around the country. Anderson was in the news last month when debate raged about her brief lesbian storyline on TV's Home and Away. There were some negative comments at the time and, like many in the industry, Anderson could not understand what the drama was about. "I knew there would be a reaction, but I had no idea it would have that kind of weight and there be so much negativity to be honest," she said. "I was really disappointed. "But I think the good thing is now it's over, I've had the most amazing feedback. "The positive far outweighed all the negative stuff, so that has been wonderful." She will walk the red carpet alongside boyfriend Conrad Coleby. She has had input into designing her dress, which was put together by Channel 7 wardrobe and designer Matthew Eager. She will also attend her mother's 60th birthday. When she returns to the set of Home and Away more big storylines are in store for Anderson. "The next one is hectic and full on, but really good," she said.

"But I think the good thing is now it's over, I've had the most amazing feedback. This sounds disappointing. And llike its gone forever. Maybe Joey isn't coming back... I wish we knew.
