Having Faith

Here's a sneak peak of the next chapter!

Sorry I didn't have time to upload the whole thing!!

Nicole paced the corridor up and down anxiously as Belle and Mattie watched her with worried expressions.

"Nicole, everything's going to be fine!" reassured Mattie. "The doctor just said Lucy fainted due to a sudden, extremely painful contraction. It just meant the babies are coming!"

"It's not Lucy I'm worried about," snapped Nicole.

"Then what?" asked Belle softly.

Nicole bit her lip but didn't answer the question.

Mattie and Belle exchanged a confused expression.

"Nicole," said Geoff, stepping out of the examination room. "Can we talk?"

"Whatever it is Geoff, it can be said in front of Mattie and Belle surely," said Nicole.

Geoff sighed, and looked into Nicole's eyes.

"Lucy asked us if we would like to take one of the twins on as our full time child."

Nicole gawked at him for a minute, while Belle and Mattie looked on, surprised.

Goeff waited for Nicole's reply patiently.

"And what about the other baby?" asked Nicole.

"Well Lucy said her Mum was willing to help take care of the baby, and mind it while lucy was at school," said Geoff. "She's also asked us as she doesn't think she would be able to care for two babies."

"But are we sure she's able to care for one even?" asked Nicole, anxiously.

"Yes, I think so," said Geoff, confidently. "Her parents are lawyers so there's no issue of money, and in some way, I do believe Lucy has...bonded with the babies. She has carried them for the past nine months after all."

Nicole nodded, approvingly.

"Well then I think we should do it!" she said.

Geoff looked up at her in surprise.

"Seriously?"

"Yeah, absolutely!" said Nicole.

"We're really going to become parents?" asked Geoff, again, putting his hands on Nicole's arms.

"Sounds like it!" said Nicole grinning.

Goeff grinned back.

"Well then," he said, clapping his hands together.

"Would you like to come and meet your new son?"

As Nicole grinned and hugged Geoff tightly, Mattie and Belle smiled on at them happily.

As they disappeared into the maternity ward, Mattie chuckled.

"Looks like your going to have a baby buddy, Belle!"

Sorry for such the long wait in an update guys!!!

I've been unbelieveable busy with school at the moment so I just haven't had the time to update!

So I just letting y'all know, updates will most likely be less frequent than they would have been before!

I'm in a pretty serious year in school now so I've got to put it first!!

Hope y'all like this chapter anyway..! You know the beginning!

Chapter 33

As they disappeared into the maternity ward, Mattie chuckled.

"Looks like your going to have a baby buddy, Belle!"

"Belle, are you sure you don't mind me staying for dinner?" asked Mattie uncertainly as she held the door open for her.

"Mattie, stop asking or I'll change my mind!" snapped Belle.

Mattie let it drop. She knew that Belle's hormones were just at her.

"Hey babe!" said Aden, as they walked into the kitchen. "You'll be pleased to know I've made dinner!"

"It better be something I can actually eat Aden!" snapped Belle. "This pregnancy thing is messing with my apetite!"

Aden, now long used to Belle's irregular mood swings, walked over and wrapped his arms around her, knowing this would cheer her up.

He was right as always.

Belle smiled and relaxed more into the hug. She placed her hand on his as they rubbed soothingly over her bump.

"No kicking yet?"

Belle sighed, and walked slowly out of his embrace, rubbing her arm around her bump anxiously. "No, not yet! I'm getting kind of worried! Ruby said it should be any day now."

"Belle these things are different with every pregnancy," said Mattie, as she poured herself a glass of water.

"Yeah I know," said Belle, patting her bump. "It'll happen when I least expect it probably."

"Yeah," agreed Mattie.

"Oh my God," she cried suddenly. "We never told Aden the news!"

"What news? What's happened?" he asked urgently, his eyes flying from Belle's face to her bump and back again.

"Mattie and I bumped into Lucy today," said Belle slowly.

Aden's eyes widened.

"Lucy, as in the one Geoff got pregnant?"

"Yeah that one," said Belle. "Well only minutes after we met her, her water broke!"

"Wow," said Aden. "Did she have the baby there and then?"

"Not just one baby, two babies," said Mattie. "Lucy was expecting twins and she didn't even tell Geoff!"

"She what?" exclaimed Aden.

"Anyway, she was rushed to the hospital," continued Belle. "We followed on after, having called Geoff on the way."

"Were the babies alright?" asked Aden anxiously.

"Absolutely fine," said Belle, smiling widely. "Two beautiful baby boys!"

"Aw that's lovely!" said Aden, smiling. Belle's pregnancy was really bringing out the paternal side of him. Anything to do with babies these days made his insides practicaly go gooey.

This was something he and Belle had agreed to keep a secret under strict instructions.

"What's going to happen with the babies though?" he asked frowning slightly. "Is Lucy going to keep them?"

Belle looked back at Mattie and they both smiled widely.

"No, that's not what's happening," said Mattie slowly, grinning at Aden.

"Geoff and Nicole have taken one of the twins on as they own child!" exclaimed Belle, grinning madly.

"Are you serious?" asked Aden, grinning with them. "You mean I'm an uncle?"

"Yeah!" cried Belle.

"You have a beautiful baby nephew!" she said, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing it happily.

"Have they picked a name yet?" asked Aden.

"They hadn't when we were in the hospital anyway," said Mattie. "They wanted to spend some time with Lucy and the other twin so we just left them to it."

"But we were thinking of going around after dinner?" suggested Belle. "I'm sure Faith would love to meet her new cousin!"

"Yeah that'd be great!" cried Aden.

"What would be great?" asked Faith, as she walked in the open back door, dumping her back down beside the counter.

Seeing her daughter with a bemused expression on her face, Belle quickly poured herself a glass of water and grabbed Mattie's hand.

"I think it's your turn to tell the story darling," she said winking at him. "Mattie, the baby and I are tired!"

Aden rolled his eyes quickly so she saw but walked over to their daughter, and began to tell her the long and confusing story.

"Knock, knock!" said Belle, opening the door a crack.

"Oh come on in guys," said Geoff enthusiastically.

"Where's my new little nephew?" asked Aden, walking into the house, the others following quickly.

They were all quiet and then ushered a 'Awwww!' as Nicole walked into the living carrying a sleeping baby in her arms.

"Oh Nic, he's beautiful," said Aden, walking over to his almost-sister and admiring her new son, wrapped securely in a woollen blanket.

"Thank you so much," whispered Nicole, as Aden kissed her's and the baby's forehead.

"Aw Aunt Nicole, he's gorgeous," said Faith, her blue eyes melting as she looked in at the sleeping baby.

"Would you like to hold him?" asked Nicole, smiling at her.

Faith's eyes lit up and she put her arms into a cradle as Nicole gently slid her new baby cousin into her arms.

As she walked away, cooing sleeping baby, Mattie followed her leaving Aden and Belle to talk to Geoff and Nicole.

"Geoff, he's beautiful," said Belle, smiling at him.

Geoff smiled back, opened his arms and hugged Belle tightly.

"Thanks sis!" he said, kissing her hair.

"So what's going to happen to the other twin?" asked Aden.

"We're going to have it that the boys see each other as often as possible," said Geoff.

"They're going to grow up knowing they brothers," said Nicole, as Geoff wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "We're going to keep no secrets from James."

"Oh James, is that what you named him?" asked Belle softly. "We completely forgot to ask!"

"Lucy named our other baby Robert," said Geoff. "After her father. He died of cancer of a few years ago."

"Aw that's sweet," said Belle.

Suddenly she gasped, her hand clutching her stomach.

Aden's face was pale as he zoned as hers, Geoff and Nicole's hands were out, not knowing what to do.

"Belle sweetheart what's wrong?" asked Aden, urgently.

"I think the baby just kicked!"

Aden, Geoff and Nicole leaned forward anxiously.

"Oh my God, there it goes again!" said Belle, waving her other arm around. "Quickly everyone put your hands on it!"

Carefully placing they hands on Belle's bump, they waited patiently for a nudge.

They all gasped suddenly.

"Did you feel it?" asked Belle, exuberantly.

"We did!" exclaimed Nicole. "Oh my God Belle," she said, taking her friend's hands. "That's your baby!"

"Here can I feel?" asked Faith, carefully handing James to Geoff, and placing both her hands on her mother's bump.

"Oh my God, I felt it!" she exclaimed a few minutes later. "Oh my God, it's amazing!"

"Isn't it amazing Dad?" asked Faith, looking up at Aden.

Words failed Aden as he and Belle's eyes met. But he didn't have to say anything for Belle to understand what he felt. He look of awe, love and amazement were all there in his beautiful blue eyes, now copied into their daughter.

Walking away from the crowd that were talking excitedly about their baby, Belle walked over to her husband and wrapped her arms around his neck. She leaned in so her mouth was by his ear.

"I love you," she whispered softly.

Aden didn't say anything. He leaned forward, kissed her neck then buried his face in her hair. As he wrapped her arms around her tightly, Belle lay her head on his shoulder, and closed her eyes.

It didn't matter that there were people looking on at them, or even in the room. It wouldn't have mattered if there were a hundred people in the room, to Aden and Belle, it was just them.

Them, and their love for each other.

Aw, yay. I'm glad that Lucy had two healthy boys, and that she gave one to Geoff and Nicole to look after. I'm actually liking Nicole as a mother here

And the baby kicked, too! That was just so I'm glad that Aden was there when it kicked. Too cute!

Can't wait for more, but can totally understand the whole school thing. Hope everything goes well

I really should proof read before i post chapters!

I fixed the first one but the second one you pointed out wasn't meant to be a mistake.

Belle grabbed Mattie's hand because both of them had already explained the story of the babies to him, they were both tired and wanted him to tell Faith!

Hope that clears everything up for you!!

Chapter 34

Belle groaned quietly.

"Is everything ok sweetheart?" asked Aden as he walked into the living room.

"No, everything is not ok," said Belle, flinging her hands around. "I've just realised how unprepared we are for this baby!"

"Honey, you're not due for another 10 weeks," said Aden, making himself a cup of coffee. "We have lots of time!"

"No we don't Aden," cried Belle, leaning over the counter, glaring at him. "What if the baby comes early? What if we don't even have a bed for the baby? Napies? Food? Bottle Steriliser?"

"Ok, ok, calm down," said Aden, taking her hand and rubbing them reassuringly. "Getting stressed is not good for the baby."

"I know," said Belle, taking in a few breaths. "I know, I'm sorry. I lost it!"

"It's ok," said Aden, rubbing her back. "I only wish I could say I know how you feel. But guys weren't made to carry babies, or else I would be carrying ours for you!"

Belle looked at him disgustfully. "That is the weirdest thing you've ever said!"

Aden chuckled and shrugged. "Who said I was normal?"

Belle rolled her eyes, and turned back to her small bundle of baby clothes. "What have I married into?"

She collapsed into the sofa, grabbing the remote control, as Faith walked in through the back door with Conor.

"Hey Mum! Hey Dad!" said Faith happily.

"Hey honey," said Belle, turning to smile them. "How are you Conor?"

"I'm good thanks Mrs Jefferies," said Conor, smiling at her briefly.

"Conor, you can call me Belle you know," she said grinning.

"Yes Mrs Jefferies - I mean Belle!" said Conor, quickly.

Faith chuckled and pulled on Conor's arm lightly.

"We'll be in my room guys," she said, as they ran up the stairs.

"Use a condom," called Aden, not looking up from his newspaper.

He heard a faint growl from upstairs and grinned with vindictive satisfaction. Belle eyed him, trying not to laugh.

"Aden, I'm pretty sure that sex is not all they do when they go upstairs," she said.

Aden raised a eyebrow at her.

"Wait until you hear her close the door."

Listening intentively, Belle heard the quiet closing of a door upstairs.

"Now," said Aden, grinning again. "What did we do when we use to close the door in your room usually."

Still trying to look serious, Belle stifled a laugh.

"They could have just wanted some privacy, so they could talk without being heard," she insisted. "We did that too."

Aden rolled his eyes.

"Which did we do more often?"

Belle blushed and looked down quickly, suddenly very interested in the patterns in her dress.

"Mmm, mmm," said Aden. "I thought so!"

"Seriously!" said Faith as she collapsed onto her bed dramatically. "You'd think all Dad thought we were doing up here was having sex!"

Conor chuckled.

"Faith, we have done it a lot though lately," he said sheepishly. "It doesn't surprise me that your parents are like that! When I rang Mum the other told, I was talking so much about you, she coped on straight away! Then she gave me the old talk about the unwanted teenage pregnancy and STDs!"

"I know!" said Faith. "But they know we're not stupid! They know we're being careful! I mean, who wants to have a STD??"

"I know," said Conor, taking her hand and smiling. "They're just doing their job though!"

Faith nodded, knowing Conor was right.

"Why is it you seem to know everything?" she asked, grinning at him.

He chuckled. "That's just the way I am."

"So, if I came up closer," said Faith, sit nearer to him. "And began to unbutton your shirt, would you know what I was doing?"

"You know I wouldn't actually," said Conor, as Belle pulled away his shirt. "You better go through that part with me more thoroughly."

Faith grinned seductively, and claimed his lips.

And outside the door, as Aden passed on his way to the bathroom, he called out loudly; "Don't forget the condom!"

The doctor opened the door and smiled and she saw Belle and Aden waiting.

"Hello you two," she said sitting down and smiling. "How's everything going?"

"Well," said Belle, grinning and taking Aden's hand. "The baby kicked for the first time a few weeks ago! Hasn't stopped since actually!"

"Well thats perfectly normal," said the doctor. "We would be worried if the baby wasn't kicking by now."

"So," she said, closing her file. "Are you ready for your ultrasound?"

"Absolutely," said Aden, grinning down at Belle, her hand held tightly in his.

Pulling the monitor closer to her, the nurse squeezed out some gel and rubbed it carefully onto Belle's bump. Putting the scanner on her bump, the doctor pressed a few switches and then they're baby came onto the screen.

"They you go," said the doctor smiling. "There's your baby!"

"My God," said Belle, gasping. "He's grown so big since the last time. Look Aden, you can see his little fingers and everything?"

"Yeah, I can see!" said Aden, kissing Belle's forehead. "It's amazing!"

"Your coming into your third trimester now," said the doctor. "So it will be normal to feel occasionally cramps, and some mild discomfort but anything more serious than that, please come into see me immediatly!"

"We will, thank you so much doctor!" said Belle, pulling her top down again.

"Your very welcome," she said, pushing the monitor away. "Come and see me again in about three weeks!"

"We will, thank you," said Aden, taking Belle's hand and walking out of the room.

"By the way," said the doctor as she followed them out to the reception. "I didn't realise you found out the sex of the baby!"

"No, we've just been calling it....hang on," said Belle slowly. "Are you saying what I think your saying?"

The doctor's eyes widened. "Oh my, you didn't know did you?"

"Oh yeah, these are the faces of people in the know!" said Aden, who face was pale with shock and disbelief.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't realise," said the doctor.

"Hold off with the apologies for a sec," said Belle quickly. "Are you saying we're having a boy?!"

The doctor smiled sheepishly and nodded.

"Are you serious?" asked Aden.

"Yes," she said quietly. "Your expecting a healthy baby boy."

"Babe, did you hear that?" exclaimed Aden, putting his hands on Belle's arm and turning to face her.

"We're having a boy," murmered Belle, not really focused. "A boy!"

"Yes sweety, we're having a boy," whispered Aden, kissing her forehead.

"A beautiful baby boy!"
