Most people are off in August so I guess research this shows it's the lowest rating month. It does leave us with an interesting situation, as we will drop 6 weeks behind I believe, if we take no break over the winter we could see the premiere on the same episode. The break in December is because it's roasting in Oz, people don't want to watch the TV. In December in the UK we're curling up with some cocoa in front of the TV wanting to see some sun.

That brings me to another point it always annoyed me that annoys me because the Australian Open was on when the schools were out but Wimbledon was always when the schools were still on. I guess Wimbledon has an easier time getting people to go without having to it during the school holidays because we have a bigger population and Europe on our doorstep.
