He didn't save them, the public who voted saved them. Lucie got the fewest votes and that is her fans' fault. They didn't vote for her.

Personally, I'm delighted Jedward are still in the show. If they had been kicked out tonight I would not bother watching the show any more, because they are the only reason to watch.

No one here is saying they don't have a right to be there. It's the fact that Simon is now a complete hypocrite that has annoyed me the most. It would have been a totally different story if one of his guys was in the bottom two and another judge sent it to the public vote. Really he's a marketing genuis. The papers are going to be going insane tomorrow - exactly what he wanted.

I don't watch X Factor, but I've heard enough about it and caught tonights results and I have to agree with this.

The public complain when the judges make decisions they don't like and they complain about their own results. There's no pleasing them.

As for people having a go at Simon Cowell, I doubt he cares. Every bit of uproar this causes is more publicity for the show. More money in his bank balance. He's hardly going to crumble. Surely you have to look towards the public and ask why the majorty of voters between J&E and Lucie would vote for them over her? Given that they can't sing, I gather it's because they at least entertain. Since this is - after all - an ENTERTAINMENT show, it's probably the right result.

As for the comments I've read about the twins, it just proves how nasty some people are. J&E aren't to blame for being there. It's the judges for putting them through in the first place and the public for keeping them in. J&E are just going with it. I thought it was more than obvious from their faces when the result was read that neither expected it and from what people have said, they seemed genuine in their upset and shock on the Xtra Factor. For people to keep kicking them when they're down is absurd.

People should know as soon as they enter into these shows - as viewers, contestants or whatever - they're taking a risk. The fact they actually believe, after so many years of reality TV, that it's actually about real talent is beyond me.

I say good on John & Edward. I hope they don't allow the negative comments to put them down too much. It's hardly fair.

Im happy that I get to see Jedward again but in all fairness, Lucy is the way better singer! I cant believe she's gone I wanted her to win! Its completely rigged, why would Simon save the twins he promised he would leave the country if they won? Psshh...I dont know why people waste their money voting on it.

The only reason he let Lucie go is because he wants to get rid of the stronger singers so his acts have a much better chance! Gah why am I angry over a stupid program!

I think that might have come into it slightly, but I believe him when he said that he didn't think Lucie could win. She's got a fantastic voice but her personality wasn't strong enough for her to win (and the girls have to have even more personality than the boys on these shows, because they don't get people voting for them just because they look good).

The main reason Simon did it was money, pure and simple. The longer the twins stay in, the more publicity the show gets and the higher the ratings will be, which all equals cash in Simon's pocket.

I still don't think he wants them to win. He does actually want to get a decent recording artist out of it, because that will earn him more money in the long run than the couple of novelty singles John and Edward will release before people get sick of them. But as I said before, he wants them to stay in as long as possible because it's good for the show. Personally I think he's sacrificing his credibility as a result, but I doubt he cares.

Jedward are making Xfactor look cheep and disgusting there having a laugh at the british way of life they cant sing where as Lucie yes she coulde sing and has a great voice Jedward is just s novelty act and as for watching the rest og xfactor i give up Simon Cowell is one big Hypocrite all these weeks hes been calling Jedward down and that if they win he will leave the country well now i hope he has top eat his words and goes.

That is me not watching the X Factor anymore.

I know it's not Jedward's fault that they are still in and Lucie was voted out, that's down to the voting public and Simon Cowell. Cowell has been banging on for weeks about how useless the twins are and how he would leave the country if they win but the first chance he has to get rid of them he bottles it. It's all for ratings, Jedward are drawing in massive crowds of viewers due to all the publicity they have been getting so lose them and what are the papers going to bang on about. I guarantee if it of been Jedward v's Danyl, Olly or Jamie in the sing off then Jedward would've been sent home without a second thought from Cowell. Lucie could've been a big threat to any of his boys in the future of the competition so he got rid of her.

I love the boys to bits and I don't blame them. As someone said before me - the judges put them through and the public kept them in. They had no choice so blaming Jedward is awful.

Simon is a complete hypocrite. I used to like him but it's seriously made me question what it is he's about.

Ugh, I'm just so angry and I have no idea why it's over a TV show . But I think it's because Lucie did deserve to stay in and it was her future. I'm sure Simon has enough money without needing anymore

I love the boys but it's a singing competition but still, if the public keeps them in then why not. They tried out like everyone else and made it. The judges shouldn't have put them through if they knew they weren't the best singers.
