I love Roo, the kind, motherly figure in her makes her character so believable.

However, I wish they'd give her more personal stories so Georgie can show off her material more often rather than give Maddy a hug in every single scene.

Roo is pointless. Georgie is great but the most Roo does is give Maddy a hug are hang around the diner doing absolutely nothing.

Although Roo has been involved heavily in both Maddy's and Alf's storylines respectively (A hug for Maddy. A hug for Alf. Another hug for Maddy. Another hug for Alf, etc), I'm looking forward to HER new romance storyline... About timing!

I have heard comments that Roo looks nothing like she did in 1988, well hey ho, 27 years difference. I know she is played by a new actress but Roo was away for 21 years, and I think she does remind me of the original Roo in looks. The original Roo was fiery and a bit of a rebel and the new Roo is much more relaxed and a matriarchal figure, she is the new Ailsa. I like Georgie Parker and Justine Clarke's versions. Roo is one of many soap characters to have been recast after a 20 odd year absence. I hope one day we see Bretty Macklin again. One of the best recurring characters alongside the one and only Alison.

I was quite surprised they waited as long as they did to recast Roo, I know they asked Justine back on occasions but she refused, I'd of loved to see Justine back but I think the recast was as good as they were going to get, I'd like to see her more involved with the show and more of her own Story lines, I'd of loved to of seen her with the older Martha but that won't happen.

Nice to see Roo has found love again in the Bay !! Could he be the one !! 

Was good to see that fun side to her again , sneaking around like a teenager and enjoying herself !

Roo was Number 6 on Digital Spy's recent article 'Top 10 most sidelined soap characters', how do people feel about this? I agree, Georgie's a great actor and I feel she has the potential to really sink her teeth into a meaty storyline.

Roo is very much a sidelined character and it sucks because when Georgie is given good worthwhile material, she can act.

Look at her as Terri in 'All Saints'!!
