First of all, I want to say a very big thank you to both entries. I read through them both & loved them so much! So it was a really close call in my own opinion, as well as everyone else's votes.

There was only one vote between them.

Congratulations to Kirsty for Enrty Number 2 & winning the Quick Fanfiction Contest #21.

& I am sure she won't mind me mentioning her because Entry Number 1 was a fantastic entry. Well done to Ellen for coming in second place, with only one vote less than Kirsty.

It was a very close call & I loved both the fanfictions.

Thank you to everyone else who voted as well! It's very much appreicated by myself and I'm sure Ellen & Kirsty ppreicate you reading their fics as well.

Kirsty, the next contest is over to you to host.

Thank you everyone :)

Sorry it took so long for me to post the new one, i'm running out of ideas! But hope this one interests a few people :)

Qucik FanFic Contest #22

What If.....

*Belle hadn't got cancer and died. Do you think she would have been so quick to marry Aden? Would she have managed to avoid a relasp?

*Baby Harry had never been found. Would Rachel and Tony's relationship have srurvived? Even now, nearly a year later how much of their lives would be revolved around looking for him?

*Irene hadn't been able to stop drinking after her relasp a year or so ago. What would have been the consquences for her and everyone around her?

*Ruby had never found out Charlie was her mother. Would things have carried on like they were?

Pick one senario and the rest is up to you. :)

2,500 - 4,000 words

Entries to me by February 17th, middnight GMT.

Good luck!

Thank you everyone who voted :)

Congrats to Laura (charmed60) for her fantastic winning entry; it was incredibly heartbreaking and beautifully written. Thank you too to Carina for her entry which was also amazing and written to an extremely high standard.

So Laura it's now over to you..

Congratulations to charmed60 for winning Contest #22 and Carina for entering the competition. :D

Thank you so much! Sorry for the delay in replying, just had a birthday so have been a bit busy :P Thank you so much for all the wonderful feedback and constructive criticism and of course the votes!

And well done to Carina to, a beautiful story which I really enjoyed reading, a fantastic entry :) It's a shame that there are so few entries being submitted and people participating in the votes (the contest gets a decent amount of views - think how exciting the contest would be with far more votes and entries).

Are there any members out there who would consider entering but have been put off by something within the contest, one of the rules or something? I'm just wondering if there's something we can change that might encourage more people to enter? If you're uncomfortable putting it on here feel free to PM me.

It might be worth me leaving this for a while to give people a chance to express ideas on how to make it more exciting? I don't want to host another one and have to beg again for entries. Please let me know if you have any ideas!

I agree. More people need to enter & there must be a reason why people aren't.

Sometimes because of courseowrk commitments, I don't always get to enter a contest ut I try as much as possible.

& we're usually allowed to write about whichever characters we like & the rules, in my opinion, seem to be fine.

Even the timings really good, we get long enough to write it.

I do think we need to find a way to get more people interested.

I always think about entering but my uni work just doesn't allow it, I don't have much free time. However I have been trying to vote in the contests to provide feedback for the entries and if the contests fall when I have holidays I will try and get a story written for it.

I hope you find a way of getting more people interested as the competitions are a really good idea.

Thank you for all your feedback :) I've had messages sent to me to via PM and it seems that there's been the suggestion that perhaps the deadline which is usually around a week or so is too short. Perhaps it's worth trialling the contest so that the 'quick' part of the quick fanfiction contest can refer to the fact that the competition is a one shot contest rather than aiming to get a fanfiction written quickly.

What does everyone else think about this? Perhaps give a 2-3 week deadline rather than a week, see if that attracts more people? Thank you kitkat that you reply even when you can't enter, it's people's opinions and comments that are the most important.
