 I'd noticed. I think I started watching the repeats in the late 90s during his run, though it must have been after Lynn left as I didn't see her. I was stupid enough to not start taping until 89, though.

Fisher really has had some more point since Barbara arrived. He sort of started off used a lot, then has spent the best part of 100 episodes being almost a token nuisance, though Norman Coburn always played it in a way where he came across as having his own personal battles as well, but he does appear to have more reason to integrate with the Bay now.

Had to laugh at Nev being a Doctor in the last couple of eps of Sons and Daughters airing immediately before H&A. Presumably its the same hospital Tom was working at (and dealing with Pippa at one point!) a couple of months back.

The shop is called Hogan's Store so maybe she still uses the name Hogan at work. Or maybe she doesn't change her name to Stewart until

she and Alf re-marry in front of their friends.

Old H&A Fan it is spelled Ailsa not Alsa

It is great having all the Stewarts in Summer Bay at the moment, hopefully with Morag to come back soon too. An era that sadly will never be repeated :(

NOTICE: Most of this reply is spoilers about an upcoming storyline and I will be blacking out my text accordingly.

Yes I have seen the episodes/storyline played out where:

1. Roo causes Alf and Alsa to have an argument over a family photo going missing

2. In that raging argument, Alf tells Alsa he won't have her put "a knife in between [Roo's] shoulder blades"

3. Alsa freezes Alf out, and later packs up and leaves, with sad music excellently composed I assume by Mike Perjanik

4. Alsa is in Singapore, and gets a phone call from Alf who apologises

[inbetween 4 and 5 in the last showing of these episodes, was a commercial break between the 2, with no opening or closing titles]

5. Alf and Alsa are having a party at Alf's house celebrating as if they had just got married "again".

How do Alf and Alsa actually "remarry"?? I didn't think divorces were that quick? Is there something in the NSW Marriages Act about being married a minimum 2 years before you can apply for a divorce?

I ought to put my reply in spoiler brackets too ...

Im a bit fuzzy on the details so will have to see how it plays out but as far as I remember they didn't divorce. Their 're-marriage' was more of a ceremony for friends who weren't there for the original whilst they were renewing their vows. I may be wrong so don't take my word for it though

Now that, Imo, is what cut Home and Away above the rest- the whole fostering premise used to be handled it in such a unique way, it oozed warmth and character focus. I have watched this episode 2 times now since it aired this morning and watched the last segment a couple on top. So well produced!

It seems Lyyn suddenly disappears. First we have the scene of Lynn and Carly in their bedroom talking, and the next it seems she is gone already, and Floss and little Sally are mourning her "passing" or loss.

Good to see these episodes shown in full, not cut to pieces at the beginnings and ends like when they showed the repeats last time.

I was disappointed that we didn't actually see Lyn leave. Pippa spoke about Carly's speech at Lyn's goodbye dinner, but all of that happened off screen, it disrupted the flow a bit. At least her final episode was a memorable one! Having said that, I know that I watched these episodes when they were repeated and I've pretty much forgotten a lot of whats been happening recently...
