I can see that Belle was trying to prevent Aden getting hurt and I think that it important to get Justin to really consider that meeting up with Aden would have implications for both of them, not just for him and to remind him that there were negative implications of his leaving for his then small brother.

Belle did come across as defencive over protective and naive given the experiences she has had, and therefor knowing the consequences of lies. Hope you intended to do this cause if you did it could be the beginning of some interesting chapters and well Belle does have her moments of being naive and stupid so this is probably very in keeping

But I still love you fic.

Have a good Christmas

Thank you all for the lovely comments. I was wondering how people were going to take to Justin. I'm glad that he's still intriguing.

This chapter made Belle seem very immature. I know she how much she loves Aden but to be so inconsiderate of Justins feelings(even if she doesn't know him just knowing the family he came from should be enough) just made me want this chapter to come to an end because I didn't want to read more of her. Thats never happened before.

I know this wasn't the way you mean't for it to come out. And it was probably was mean't to show how much shes willing to do to protect Aden but I only see character traits that really made me dislike/hate her.

Lol, nope, you've got that right; that wasn't how I intended it to come out. But to explain myself, I think what you've got to consider is the fact that Belle was, and still is at times, a feisty girl who, when she gets an idea into her head, she sticks through it through thick and thin, regardless of any other facts. Also, she practically only had that 40 minutes or so to confirm who he is and make a judgement on him, and even though Belle should know better than most that people change, it was what she already knew about him that she based her judgement on. I don't mean that in a bad way, either, but rather in rash way that will, obviously, have it's consequences. You have to remember that sometimes love can be blinding, and seeing as she hasn't had time to process the whole event of the person actually being Justin, she went in her automode of protecting Aden first, because it's that which comes naturally to her.

I don't think that she was being inconsiderate of Justin's feelings, but rather trying to get her point across that she doesn't care who he is or was, she wouldn't let him do anything to hurt Aden. The last time the past was dug up [i'm thinking back to when Aden remembered about his grandfather WAY back and confronted his father about it] his life practically fell apart from his dad drinking again leading to his death in the end, and it's this that Belle doesn't want to risk again, especially now.

I guess that I should have made some of this stuff clear in the chapter, and I truely appreciate your honesty on the whole thing because it does get me to think and re-read it from another POV to see what mistakes I've made and what I've got to improve on.

Ah, yes, Belle's repeated mistake of trying to protect/help Aden without thinking of how the other option might play out better. Don't worry, that will be addressed, as will the consequences of the whole keeping secrets, that is if she doesn't tell him.

Thank you for the comments once again.

Merry Christmas all. :D

That was great. You should send that to the H&A writers because I'd love it if they bought Justin back one day.

I can understand that Belle's first instinct was to protect Aden over anything else. Belle probably sees him as this gutless older brother who ran away when things got too hard for him and just rocks up out of the blue once everything in his little brother's life has sorted itself out.

I can see myself doing exactly thing if I was in Belle's position.

Justin sure is intriguing. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Merry Christmas!

No, I get that. I get exactly why she acted the way she did. And her reasons for it. It's why I mentioned that I tried so hard to understand her because I can understand her trying to do anything to protect Aden from getting hurt. It's just the way she went about it, understandable or not, I just couldn't like her for it. She came of as someone shes not. That reminded more along the lines of Geoffs judgemental attitude, Rachels self righteousness when she thinks shes right about something, and Drews ability to say whats on his mind without caring what effect it's going have on the person the comments are directed at. But that was definitely not the fiesty girl she is. The fiesty Belle would have been more understanding(in her thoughts and out loud) and respected the fact he was in Adens life for 13 years and that means something but still have been stern and let him know that she wouldn't stand by and let him hurt Aden. I would actually loved if it happenned like that. But the way she went about it with no compassion whatsoever for him and some of her comments crossed the line and sounded more rude and arogant then fiesty.

I love Belle more than any other character on HAA. So I hate whenever I have feel the need to critisize her but considering I have done it once before here and somehow you still managed to make me love her again later on. I'm sure it will be the same again. [still love your writing, it's just Belle that I don't care for at the moment] Still can't wait for the next chapter though.

I'm writing it right now, so HOPEFULLY, it should be up in a few hours. I'm about halfway through, but it's pretty long, lol. But, hopefully, it'll be worth the wait.

Thanks for asking :D

I liked that!

I agree with Matilda. Belle's a very bad liar and Aden will probably find out in end.

I loved the fluff at the end.
