and in that lies the problem. I love Tammin but frankly she shouldn't be playing teenagers anymore. It's been a long time since she was Dani Sutherland and she's actually closer to thirty now than she is to twenty. I really wish she would get some more adult roles. I understand from a career advancement perspective the association with Disney will hopefully do her well but "Hannah Montana" is just embarrassing television. The whole show is Miley and Emily recycling old Lucy/Ethel skits from "I Love Lucy" except they don't pull them off nearly as well as Lucille Ball and Vivian Vance did.

As far as I know Tammin is going to be in at least ten episodes of HM this season.

Have you considered the possibility that she isn't actually being offered any adult roles? At least she's still working - there are plenty of ex-soap stars who aren't. I do agree that it would be nice to see her play her age though.

Yeah I've considered it and I still stand by my statement. I think she is a very talented actress but since she has come over here to the United States she has yet to have landed a role that is anywhere near the work that she did on H&A and part of the reason behind that is she's still being cast in films aimed at thirteen year old girls. That dance movie was just terrible and I've already given my opinion on HM.

I'll say this I did rent "Flicka 2" and the film isn't bad for what it is. She's playing a teenager again but at least this role had some depth to it. Hopefully she gets something she can sink her teeth into because she has a great deal of talent but some of the roles she's been cast in are actually a lot worse than H&A (for those who criticize the writing of H&A past and present).

Good to see that things are still going well for Tammin. That other film she did, Spectacular was good I'd like it on DVD. But I agree it would be nice for her to play some more adult/serious roles again

Oh I completly agree with you on that respect. I have seen every show and film that Tammin has been in and she is truly a good actress but its sad that she is still playing teengers, I give credit to her at the age of 26 pulling of playing characters 10's years younger then her but at the same time I would love to see her in more serious movies. To be honest I hate Hannah Montana but Im watching the show for her.

But its about time Tammin did a movie playing her own age and also a film that actually hits the cinema rather then DVD's, and TV.

From what I can gather Jason Earles (who plays Miley's brother Jackson on the show) is around the age of 30 in real life (It's really hard to find confirmation of this, though). So Tammin being a 'love interest' for his character is less weird, than if they had an actual 17-18 year old playing the role. I don't know what they have planned for this final season of the show, but maybe given that Tammin is slightly older they can 'do' more with the character, rather than lots of 'almost kisses'.

Disney is a big company. So who knows, this could just put her name out there even more, and give her more opportunities in the future.

Well I'm not saying that Tammin is the first actress to portray a teenager late into her twenties. You brought up Jason Earles which is a very good example and also Rebecca Gayheart was still portraying teenagers well into her late twenties. The thing with Tammin is though is that she is not only portraying teenage characters but portraying teenage characters in tv shows/films marketed to young teens.

It's not that big of an issue in the large scope of things but it seems like she's at the stage in her career where at the very least she should be seeking out roles with a little more substance to them. As someone mentioned maybe she isn't being offered any as many Aussie actors have stated that when they come to the States they basically have to start over from scratch as Australian soaps aren't transmitted in the US.

When it comes to Tammin specifically though since she's come to the United States she's been in a soap opera, two kids films and now a television show aimed at young girls. I'm sorry but as of right now in my opinion H&A is still the most impressive bone on her resume as far as a substantial role. *shrug*

I hope that Tammin gets the fame she deserves, she was fantastic on Home and Away, lets see what happens after Tammin's episodes air in the US. But at the same time apart from Miley Cyrus who is the main character in Hannah Montana, the other actresses are not that known? I also hope she gets more lead roles in films and TV shows.

Isabel Lucas is very beautiful and she came to the US in 2006, and came after Tammin yet I don't understand why she is getting more roles. And I personally think Tammin is a better actress then Isabel.
