Tammin Sursok in New movie and new TV drama!

I hope that Tammin gets the fame she deserves, she was fantastic on Home and Away, lets see what happens after Tammin's episodes air in the US. But at the same time apart from Miley Cyrus who is the main character in Hannah Montana, the other actresses are not that known? I also hope she gets more lead roles in films and TV shows.

Isabel Lucas is very beautiful and she came to the US in 2006, and came after Tammin yet I don't understand why she is getting more roles. And I personally think Tammin is a better actress then Isabel.

Have you ever looked at Isabel Lucas?

Isabel is one of those rare actresses who at least I believe to be uniquely beautiful. Although beauty is in the eye of the beholder, there are reasons why the Megan Foxes and Isabel Lucas of the world get cast in the roles that they do. They are the type of women who catch the eyes of men instantly and that is what a lot of people who make casting decisions for films are looking for.

I agree with you that hands down that Tammin is a better actress than Isabel. Personally Isabel never impressed me as an actress in H&A. I'm not trying to say she was a horrible actress but she wasn't on the level of a lot of her peers on that show. I think she would have done well to follow in the footsteps of Isla Fisher and got some additional experience under her belt before coming over to the States.

Back to Tammin, I think she has the potential to have a great deal of success in the US because she really the definition of being multi-talented. I think the move to Disney is a wise one in one respect on her part because she has aspirations of being in the music industry and if you look at Disney's track record they love developing multi-talented stars. I mean that's been their M.O. for the past several years with Hilary Duff, Miley Cyrus and all the kids that were in those High School Musical films. So in that regard she fits right in with the added bonus that due to her experience on H&A she probably has more acting experience than a lot of other Disney stars and in fairness to those other Disney stars she is also significantly older than most of them.

I loved Dani in Home and Away and good on her for making it in the US as lots of actors from Home and Away and all soaps over here in England too say they are leaving to try to make it in America and you never hear from them again. I get what you mean about her playing people 10 years younger. I dont mind if she plays someone younger but some stuff is kids stuff (Hannah Montana, Spectacular!) so maybe a part where she plays a serious character if you know what I mean which would be good to see. I think she has a part in a horror movie which is coming out so that should be interesting to see. I guess she doesn't get cast in stuff playing someone her age as she does look younger but I don't think she looks as young as 16, she could play someone around the age of 20. And anyway maybe she likes doing something different like a kids show like Hannah Montana as its different from previous roles in soaps like Young and Restless and H&A.

Tammin on the other hand is a versatile actress, I think she can pull of many roles, she can act a teenager, her age, sing as well, and I always thought she was a good crier.

Laura- I agree with you too, whilst Tammin does look younger then her age she doesn't look 16. And I don't mind her playing teen roles if it is in a good movie or TV show. I just don't like Disney, comedy shows in general, its just not my thing to watch but I will watch just for her.

I loved her acting on soaps though, I watched her both on H&A and the Y&R, and I miss her on both these shows.

I must backtrack on something I said about Tammin regarding that she hasn't taken any adult roles since coming to the States. She actually has although this role somehow managed to slip my mind which is unfortunate because it's far more noteworthy than some of the lighter fare she's been involved in.

In 2005 she shot a horror film entitled "Albino Farm". It never made the theaters over here and she lead a cast of mainly "D-List" actors including professional wrestler Chris Jericho. But her acting in this was tremendous or as tremendous as anyone's acting in a horror flick can be.

There is one notable scene right at the end of the film when she is finally captured by these religious zealots who are taking over the town and she's chanting along with them when she looks downright insane. I mean scarily insane...a far cry from Dani Sutherland

I remember reading an interview with Tammin where she said that once the writers found out that she could cry on command they had her crying in basically every scene.

Albino farm was a terrible movie, and yes I watched that too on Zone Horror. It was a movie with D list actors, bad acting and I just did not enjoy her role in this movie. I don't really like her doing horror and I think husk will be just as bad unfortanuetly

Oh well but I guess you have to start somewhere. But she needs to fine a lead role soon and actually be in a movie where its going to be released in theatres. With that being said I read on a couple of sites that she will be in a movie called "Back Woods" its a movie about the world ending lol, and Kristen Stewart and Zac Effron are the lead roles. Don't know if Tammin will play a significant character, but Im going to see if this comes to any light.

But again doing D list Movies, guest appearances will not get her anywhere at her age. I read in an interview that she auditions everyday when she is out of work so that must mean she is trying.

I thought in H&A she cried too much but she should do a romance movie, or something instead of horror/comedy. To be honest her resume is not that noticable.

Her best role so far will be in Pretty Little Liars as this is her first primetime show where she will be playing a B list character.

Horror movies aren't that bad, I mean Melissa George has basically made her career in the US making horror flick after horror flick. Although on the same token, it does seem as if a lot of the Aussie soapies end up getting cast in horror flicks which may say something about their limited acting range in comparison with other actors. Then again it might not.

I think it was easier back in the 90s to have a successful career in the US. I really liked Tammin on H&R so im still waiting for her to be in a good movie. Maybe after Pretty Little Liars she might get more roles. Although I have never watched any shows in ABC Family before.
