Ada Nicodemou and husband Chrys Xipolitas rekindle lost love

The Daily Telegraph

May 06, 2010 12:00AM

ADA Nicodemou and her husband Chrys Xipolitas have put longtime love ahead of their recent problems and are working at a marriage reconciliation.

Having officially confirmed their separation a month ago, the couple have been sighted together on numerous occasions in the past two weeks and friends of the actress have told Confidential the pair has decided to give their relationship another go.

Having initially been photographed without her wedding ring the week after the split, Nicodemou is once again wearing her ring - it was plainly on show at the Logies on Sunday night, although Xipolitas did not accompany her to the awards ceremony.

Upon her return home to Sydney from Melbourne on Monday however, who should be waiting to collect her from the airport but a smiling Xipolitas.

Last week the couple also had dinner together in Balmain at restaurant bar Rose Bud.

"They looked happy," said an eye witness. "They weren't kissing and all over each other, but they were relaxed and comfortable."

The couple have the support of both of their Greek-Australian families, who were eager to see the couple living under the same roof again.

Critical to their reunion was the decision by Xipolitas to check himself into a health facility. Known for his love of a flutter and a well-documented battle with depression, these factors are said to have contributed to the couple's split.

After their separation Xipolitas moved quickly to get help. This decision and Nicodemou's support for him at a difficult time is understood to have contributed to a thawing of tensions.

Marriage back on track for Ada Nicodemou and Chrys Xipolitis - now for a family

A DESIRE to start a family is the commonly held dream that is helping actress Ada Nicodemou and her husband of three years Chrys Xipolitis work at rebuilding a future together.

The recently- reconciled couple were photographed enjoying a walk in south Sydney together at the weekend - the first picture of them back together - and looked for all the world like a couple very much in love.

They are yet to speak about their marriage break-up in April and the demons that prompted Xipolitis to seek help at a Northern Beaches treatment centre, but Nicodemou is known to be a no-nonsense woman who values her family and her relationship above all else.

"If this can be worked out, Ada will find a way," a source said yesterday.

As the couple work at putting their marriage back together, sources on the Home and Away set say the cast and producers are all behind the actress and if a pregnancy needs to be written into the show to cover Nicodemou's own desire to start a family, it can be done.

That's good they are working at their marriage. But I hope they are not thinking that a baby will magically mend everything and put it back together, cos it won't!

Er, isn't Leah unable to have more children? Not that it's ever stopped them before!

Leah is indeed supposed to be unable to have more children but she and Dan saved money for an IVF and she managed to get pregnant. I know she later lost the baby but I assume it means she could have another IVF if she wanted to. Or they could find a way around it. I know someone who couldn't have any children and got an IVF. And she later had a baby 'the natural way' so it can happen.
