I don't like him, but at least he is a realistic character with good and bad sides. So many soap characters are too nice with no faults.

Added later: I like the actor, because he was in the brilliant Out of the Blue, playing a totally different character to John Palmer, and its nice to see him showing versatility

I think he's kind of like the Summer Bay version of Paul Robinson. As Miranda said, he has a good and a bad side, which is interesting. Better than the characters who are portrayed as being faultless *cough*RachelandMartha*cough*.

He's interesting and the actor is believable and oozes charisma. I could name several much worse characters on the show.
