The 'leak' that Aiden was talking about I actually saw (coz I've become a bit of an X Factor hound) and the same person who released them has been doing so every week of the live show with the bottom three predictions always being correct. Last week Aiden was second favourite in the votes when he sang "Nothing Compares".....so I think it's more likely that Aiden lacked votes this week probably because people thought he was safe. Simon said it to him for a start (which is the worst thing you can do) he was early on in the night (second - again ) and it wasn't the most memorable song. I think he without a doubt deserved another chance; definitely against Katie when you consider that she has been in the bottom two for four weeks now. Kirsty was right - it's clear the public don't like her whereas with Aiden; it could be down to people thinking he was safe. He deserved another chance; Katie's already had four. Also another thing to bear in mind was at 9am yesterday morning Paije was bottom of the votes (again it's up to you whether to believe me but this leak has been consistently right) so perhaps the Paije fans got hold of it and did a mass voting to try and get him out; leaving Aiden and Katie in the bottom two.

I think at the end of the day; Simon knows who he wants in the competition (and incidentally Aiden missed out on a place on the live tour last night meaning Katie will get to go on tour - wonder if Simon will bother trying to keep her in next week now he's guaranteed her place); he knows what order to put the contestants in to make sure they have maximum exposure and which to give the negative comments (to gain sympathy votes) to and who to wave off as being absolutely safe. And he knows which contestants are a threat to his band's chance at being first on X Factor...if he gets rid of the teenage girl votes that Aiden might have been getting perhaps they'll transfer to One Direction? Katie wasn't a threat to him. Hopefully it will backfire and said teenage girls will vote for Matt

I think the outrage this week Slade comes from the fact that a lot more people liked Aiden than liked TreyC. She'd been in the bottom two twice so the public clearly weren't taking to either of them. It has nothing to do with a 'Team Minogue' contestant going, if that was so we'd have been spouting when Nicolo went. And we didn't. I didn't like the guy And I agree that TreyC seemed to have no personality whereas I saw a lot of Aiden (not everyone did I know) and I loved his quirkiness and that he was something different.

Interesting how many celebrities have come out in defence of Aiden on their twitters; I've never seen this much public support for a contestant leaving so early on. Hopefully he'll take some time out and get a record deal with a company more his style of music. The X Factor is far too produced and mainstream for him.

Ter06 - I agree with you. I don't think there's any bad blood between Cheryl and Dannii either I've seen Cher squeezing Dannii's knee a couple of times this year when she's been upset about something.

Aiden IMO shouldnt have gone last night, he should have gone a bit earlier on in the competition because he at first was one of my favourite singers but he doesnt IMO sing anything differently, it all seems to be the same and I am not the biggest fan of that tbh.

I felt sooooooooooo sorry for Aiden on Saturday!! They way he literally chewed off his necklace because of his nerves. And what was up with Katie and the the whole putting her hands on her face and covering her ears? She looked like a child. I liked Kaite, I thought she was so quirky and cool, but now I think she's just.. annoying. Not a fan anymore.

I just read on Aiden's twitter that he'll be doing gigs etc, and there's a petition going around that Aiden should be put on the tour!

Also like to point out that Im a huge fan of Wagner ;) and One Direction! Anyone else?

Thank you very much for your post charmed60. I actually don’t really follow twitter but after reading that I can now see why and accept where the frustration from Aiden’s departure comes from. It’s hard to tell on sites such as those if people are actually being genuine but what you have provided is consistent with what I’ve seen and enough for me to at least get some idea and I am now starting to see some sort of backlash from some celebrities on TV. Interestingly when Dermot asked Aiden if he was surprised he was going and Aiden mentioned he was prepared as he’d heard from someone on twitter, Dermot dismissed it.

Katie is a drama queen. Simon even acknowledged that. Can I ask what do you actually like about Wagner? I don’t dislike him but do feel this is a competition however if Cher goes I might be tempted to switch allegiances as a protest to the way this show is conducted.

You're welcome I didn't believe the leaks at first; I thought it was just somebody trying to cause some controversy but seeing as she hasn't put Wagner in the bottom two yet, even earlier on when it looked like he obviously should go....and now what's happened to Aiden I'm inclined to believe she must be genuine. Dermot nearly pooed his pants when Aiden said that about twitter You could see him squirming. Wonder if Aiden got a slap on the wrist for it seeing as he said on This Morning that it was probably just a rumour and his friend who told him is a bit of a joker.

I actually quite like One Direction!! I loved them at first then Aiden started to really stand out for me. I think it was sweet how Louis and Liam took to their Twitters to defend Aiden last night. Louis was even brave enough to ask how on earth he could have left when people like Wagner are still in the competition. And if it helps, One Direction won the votes this week according to the leaks

One Direction are very cute and always put on a pretty good performance. However, i don't think they're the best singers, they get a lot of help from backing music/vocals. I just don't want them to win because of Simon

I think Wanger is amusing but i do think it's a bit of a joke he has gotten this far. It's getting to the stage now where people with genuine talent are going to go in favour of him which is just not fair. Did you see the look Cheryl and Dannii gave each other when Wagner was saved again? It's gone a little too far now.

I love Matt and Rebecca, although i do wish they'd both do something a little more up-tempo to prove they can do something different. I think they both have amazing voices and need to be able to show that they're versatile.

I agree, a total drama queen! I think Wagner is such a fun guy But I do honestly think Wagner has a good voice- not the best- but it's definetley not awful! He's also hilarious! I undertand that this is a talent show and I do hope Wagner leaves soon, but admit it guys, you all enjoy Wagners performances ;)

One Direction are so cute Especially Zain! Love him! Also loved Aiden and really want Matt to be in the final!

Oh and.. Cher? I dont really know what to make of her? She looks like a really nice girl but there's someting really odd about her..

I'm such a big One Direction fan, I think the final three will be Matt, One Direction & either Rebecca or Cher.

Double eliminations are back this week & next week apparently, was on DS on the X Factor forum, & there is a thread saying that Mary was on a Dublin Radio saying the double eliminations are back.

I really liked their performance last weekend, when they sang 'Something About The Way You Look Tonight' - thought Harry Styles did so well when he took the lead vocals, had a big smile on my face when Harry sang, as he has had bad stage fright with the live shows, & felt sick - so really pleased for Harry that he's overcome his stagefright. The audience really cheered too when Harry finally had the solo

I think a double might be the only way we get rid of Katie. Surely Wagner will be in trouble again this week. I hope Paije is safe, it would be son unfair on Dannii to lose two good acts in consecutive weeks to keep people who cant sing and are hated in the competition.
