I don't know exactly how I did it because i didn't save the psp file But I can give you a run through along the tracks of how i made it?

All I did was get an image (i used stu) and just erase the background using the eraser tool or the pen tool.

I then just played around with a few blusih textures and layered about 3 on top of each other, changing the blendmode on each one.

In the background I also played with a couple of brushes changing the color from dark grey to light grey, and added the text 'stu' in 100pt and lowering the opacity. added the text and voila! hope that gives you an idea of how I made it
