972 episodes of S&D were made, so that would mean Meg would be on her last legs and Sophie will be repainting her bedroom, so you'd probably be looking at mid-2013 by the time S&D finishes.

I don't want it to finish, thanks! I've seen these H&A's only a year or so ago (as I had them on tape from the last time) and am not really bothered by the period after, but I haven't seen S&D for decades and am thoroughy enjoying it! :)

But I would have been surprised if they put another old soap on like Country Practice.

But I hope we do get hour episodes when it comes to speed it up more.

That snivelling little BRAT.

I am surprised Dodge hasn't thumped her one by now, God knows I would have!!

Look at the way it carries on in today's episode, when all Dodge did was make a few innocent jokes about Tom and Alf going fishing because they are mates, and how there is one rule for adults, and another for squirts.

Get over yourself, LITTLE SALLY

Any wonder he flushes "Milko" out of her in future episodes.

I say Good on him!! I'd shake his hand, not

carry on the way "Pippa" does in that future episode ("RIGHT, I'M TELLING TOM").

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Then many years later he comes back into her life in the form of Miles.

I'm slowly catching up, as I was away for 3 weeks and had to set them all to IQ. I missed four episodes in total when they changed the start time to a little ealier, that was annoying.

I have to say, while I might be alone, I think this might be the best stretch of episodes that I've seen. It has simply been brilliant viewing, that episode where Martin thought Lance had died was absolutely hilarious. There were a couple of eps where not a lot happened, but otherwise the storylines have been terrific, the storylines and quality of writing is unbelievable.

Loving the Dodge storyline, the Bobby/Frank one is interesting and I'm liking Frank less by the day. I like Stacey, and Andrew Foley, and Carly is impressing me a lot lately too. Morag's storyline is good, and Don Fisher is confirming what I already thought, he's one of the greatest characters in this shows history.

I'm only about 5 eps behind being 'live'!

I hate when people sort of split things into adults and kids, because I don't really think there should ever be much difference and usually the difference is between well written and badly written, but I have enjoyed some of the emotions of the elder Stewart clan over the past few weeks, especially the contrasting lonelinesses of the two Stewart sisters, as well as the realisation on Ailsa's face as to exactly what she had got Marilyn into.

Even these small stories can get you thinking with the deep and different characters involved.

I have to say that rewatching the early years, Celia and Morag have become my favourite relationship.

All these years I'd pondered the lack of closure between Morag and Bobby but I think there's also a lot of healing to be done between Celia and Morag. Unlike Bobby, Celia isn't dead and I think it's a wasted opportunity not to bring Celia back and make a storyline for Morag out of it.

It's good to see the "old" Steven coming through when he stood up to Dodge. You can see that the only things that Dodge cares for is causing trouble and money, whereas Steven really cares about both Tom and Pippa and he understands more about the sense of belonging to a family than Dodge does.

It is good to see that in the end the whole Fletcher family went in search for Tom. It's a shame that Bobby and Frank still managed to find things to argue over even in a time of crisis. I'm glad that Pippa told them off for their arguing but I have a feeling that she is also feeling guilty about the arguments that she's been having with Tom just before the fishing trip.

I would have loved to have seen Morag change Christopher's nappy, now that would have been some comic relief!
