It's good to see the "old" Steven coming through when he stood up to Dodge. You can see that the only things that Dodge cares for is causing trouble and money, whereas Steven really cares about both Tom and Pippa and he understands more about the sense of belonging to a family than Dodge does.

It is good to see that in the end the whole Fletcher family went in search for Tom. It's a shame that Bobby and Frank still managed to find things to argue over even in a time of crisis. I'm glad that Pippa told them off for their arguing but I have a feeling that she is also feeling guilty about the arguments that she's been having with Tom just before the fishing trip.

I would have loved to have seen Morag change Christopher's nappy, now that would have been some comic relief!

Dodge is good in that way, at least he loves having fun. "Life is temporary" he said in Episode 317. You gotta enjoy life while you can because you aint gonna be around forever y'know! Life is too short to be wasted.

I love the way Dodge has fun when the lights go out :lol:

Oh and look at the way Carly carries on when he speaks in real terms. She jumps down his throat when Dodge says this place is as much fun as a funeral parlour. Typical Summer Bay residents in a typical TV drama, moaning like lost dogs, end of the world tragedy scenario, I mean look at Roo, the Macklin marketers Martin and this other dude, they try to cheer her up but Roo is like all depressed and needs a crowbar to cheer her up. Flamin' hell...... I think it's hilarious! (in a perverse kind of way because the tiptoeing around is rather quite cringeworthy to be honest. Laughable because of its cringeworthiness).

OOOO HOW I WISH DODGE STAYED A LOT LONGER than the 70 episodes he was part of the Fletcher family. He is a CLASSIC!!!

Yeah, he'd know all about that, having killed an innocent man for no reason whatsoever.

Loving this storyline. The entire show seems so real, for example Dodge juggling those fruits and knocking over the salad plate, just stuff like that makes everything seems genuine. There was something else like that too, things that don't seem scriped, but allowed to be aired because they add to the realness of the show.

To me, Donald is the best cast member of the show. He's the rock.

Loving Morag and Marilyn, their scenes are truly hilarious.

Frank's a loser, Bobby's been a slight annoyance of late, but to me it's 90% Frank's fault.

Roo's really developed into a beautiful young lady, amazing the difference.

How long I wonder until Andrew and Stacey fall for each other??

Felt so sad for Lance when Alf and Tom didn't want him to join their fishing trip.

And lastly, for as bad as he is, I like Dodge, and I think deep down, very deep down, he's a decent guy. But his past has built up such a wall that he's scared to show the nice guy he could be. He's the true case of the bad boy arriving in Summer Bay.

I certainly prefer Dodge over Philip. I might not prefer rapists over priests (though I guess the difference has sometimes been blurred recently), but in terms of TV drama, it's probably slightly more interesting. Dodge has providded drama from the minute he stepped in the bay, and if he does this by inadvertantly killing someone or deceiving those that care for him, then yes, I do prefer him over Philip who was pretty dull when push comes to shove.

I'm really not sure to make of Dodge, it'll be interesting to know(and I'm not sure we ever will)what made him this way.Underneath the narcissism, there seems to be a rather bitter streak, as if something in his past damaged him.But I certainly wouldn't consider him a nice guy, since nice guys don't usually firebomb buildings for revenge/fun and seemingly feel no remorse that someone died as a result.I think he realises he's onto a cushy thing, since everyone seems to have forgotten his past and just sees him as the foster son of a middle class family who's not going to be the top of anyone's suspect lists, so he knows he has to keep the likes of Tom, Pippa and Don sweet.Really not sure about his friendship with Steven:I can't tell whether he genuinely likes having a little pal or he realises it's going to be easier to get away with stuff if he's got Steven to cover for him or he takes some perverse pleasure in getting a straight arrow like Steven going to strip clubs and stealing cars.I don't really read much into the antagonism with Sally:If Steven or Carly made a joke about her, she'd probably react exactly the same, since she can be a bit highly strung at times, but she'd also probably get over it quickly. If someone we don't like makes a joke at our expense, we usually find it hurtful, even if it might seem harmless to an outsider.

Have to say, I'm finding my sympathies mostly lying with Frank. It's clear there's fault on both sides, maybe even equal fault, but I'm just finding Bobby annoying. It's obvious they shouldn't have got married, maybe if they'd waited a bit longer and just carried on dating instead of rushing into it they'd have been all right. But neither of them's willing to do what you need to do to make a marriage work, consider how their actions are going to affect the other.Actually, watching the Bedford episode I was left thinking there was nothing wrong with what Bobby said but a lot wrong with the way she said it.If she'd calmly and reasonably told him the truth about her and Frank's background, he'd probably have felt embarrassed that he'd been made to look a fool and quickly changed the subject. But instead she got aggressive and literally got in his face about it, which no-one's going to react well to.

I agree the Morag/Marilyn double act is working well, I love the fact that Marilyn just seems to let Morag's bitterness wash over her and genuinely don't seem to notice it.(Also fascinating to see Alf viewing Marilyn as an airhead in the same bracket as Lance and Martin.

A far cry from 21 years down the line when he's coming down hard on anyone that says a bad word about her...

)Donald is increasingly showing himself to be one of the most complex characters in the show's history and a true legend and I find myself loving pretty much every scene he's in.

I've been watching The Early Years recently and I just have to laugh at Marilyn and Morag's scenes together. Morag was a real bitca and Marilyn was such a airhead! A clumsy, lovable airhead.

I don't know what to make of Dodge .

I never liked Frank and wasn't much of a Bobby fan.

Celia reminds me so much of Coleen except she isn't as gossipy.

I love Don. :)
