For probably the first time, I just didn't care for today's episode.

I really dislike episodes that are centered on gossip and innuendo such as today's. To me it's just lazy writing, and a very rare episode were I was happy to see the final credits.

Hopefully it picks up a bit.

I agree.Colleen especially annoyed me.It was none of her business what was happening between Bobby,Frank and Roo.I also thought Roo was being stupid to lie to Martin about having an affair with Frank when she really didn't.

Yep agree, both of these things heaviliy contributed to a poor episode.

Roo is the talk of the town because everyone blames her for splitting up Frank and Bobby's marriage (which was dysfunctional anyway, which I can't understand why everyone is up in arms about Roo splitting them up but that's another matter), then all of a sudden, she becomes a "victim" because Revhead and his mates gang up on her as she walks home alone in the dark after work, and she doesn't even seem to make any attempt to fight back against them.

I agree that it was kind of stupid for Roo to say that to Martin, but haven't Don and Martina ever heard of the word "sarcasm"?? I can't believe how unsympathetic Celia and Morag are being to Bobby.

^How can you tell that by watching the last shot of todays episode?

I think I was referring to the beginning of the next episode,

when Adam came to the rescue looking like a hero, as Roo is portrayed as a "victim" when she and Revhead and his mates had a bit of (not very) rough play

It's not surprising that Morag was unsympathetic to Bobby. She despised Bobby.Roo was the daughter she always wanted.

Yeah, it's not that surprising, but still, to encourage Roo to go after Frank, and not show an ounce of sympathy for Bobby is almost inhumane. It's very surprising about Celia though, I thought that she would so sympathy. Donald and Colleen are the only ones showing sympathy. Ailsa sort of is, but hasn't been in many scenes to do with it.
