Exactly. Having a bad feeling about someone as an adult, you'd just keep out of their way. But as a kid, especially sharing the same house, you may well shout at them and call them horrible, much like you would an older brother or sister.

Either way, age most definately does come into it. Old H&A Fan states that it doesn't (based on what?), because it's the one thing that perfectly puts Dodge in the wrong. And we can't have that, can we?

I think it's a case of the dissonance between what the viewers know and what the characters know. We, the audience, know that Dodge is a nasty piece of work who picks on younger kids and steals from people who've been nice to him just for kicks. So from that perspective, Sally not liking him seems perfectly reasonable.Except, when you look at it logically, she doesn't know any of that.

To be fair, I don't think Sally ever said her not liking Dodge had nothing to do with him stealing her sweets when they first met.I seem to remember she actually said that she was a bit confused because she didn't like Dodge but didn't know why, he'd been mean to her a couple of times but she didn't understand why that would make her dislike him when the other kids teased her all the time(and Pippa insisting she should like him and what he did didn't make him bad was confusing her further). It also has to be said Sally can be a bit melodramatic at times(which most nine-year-olds probably are)so her "You're horrible, I hate you" attitude is in character.(And it has to be said, rarely entirely unprovoked, more of an overreaction to an apparently innocuous or minor action.)

I completely agree. Also, as I'm sure I posted before, characters make snap judgements about other characters on Home and Away all the time. Roo made a snap judgement about Ailsa at the start of the show, which she later admitted she was wrong about. In this particular case of Sally and Dodge, we the audience know that Sally happens to be right, but whether she is right or not, it happens on the show all the time. I just don't know why such a fuss is being kicked up by one poster about this particular example.

What about Stevo making a snap judgement about Roo's boyfriend being the one who killed his uncle? Why isn't the poster making a big fuss about that?

I remember another example later in the show where Rebecca said she didn't trust Curtis' new girlfriend Jenna was all that she seemd to be (despite them barely sharing any scenes together and having nothing to do with each other whatsoever). It later turned out that Jenna was a false name and she was harboring a secret that she was already married to a violent husband. So in this case, whether by coincidence or some kind of intuition, Rebecca was right.

Seen my first episode in a month, and it's quite bizarre how things have moved on. Frank and Roo have essentially left, and Adam and Viv are on the credits. The big day is tomorrow!

Yeah, I'm just catching up, but I do like Viv. Apart from Ailsa depression, nothing too serious going on, but it's very enjoyable at the same time.

Little Sally's sinister campaign against Dodge continues. After she sees Dodge pinching Viv's bum while he gives her dancing lessons, she makes pretty serious attempts to undermine Dodge's story about Viv being Lance's cousin. Dodge is only fabricating this story to keep Viv on the run (you'll find out in later episodes Viv had a good reason to run away from home).
