Wow, what an episode today (Friday).

So much happened, almost too much! The writers are brilliant, how they make everything fit in. I completely overlooked the significance when Dodge told Steven that he'd forged a sick note, and then when Tom rocked up at the school he learnt of this. I think Dodge and Steven should've told Tom and Pippa the truth about Viv from the outset, but obviously admitting how they found Viv would've been hard to accept. Steven's completely going off the rails, all thanks to Dodge, but it would've been nice for him to show some backbone during all of this. The episode was already a classic and that was before the final scene when Tom found out about the two boys skipping the camping trip at the end. Big trouble about to happen me thinks!

I like Viv a lot, extremely cute, seems very caring too.

Dodge's position gets into more and more serious danger from this point onwards

until he rescues little baby Sally on the rocks in rough seas, and Tom & "Pippa"'s 1960s-theme wedding anniversary

.

The little grub keeps accusing Dodge of lying, and whines "NOBODY LISTENS TO ME!!" when her bratty cries are ignored.

Lance & Martin eye off Viv's ♥sexy legs as she sleeps over at Lance's house as the 2 spineless wonders swap places sleeping on the couch.

As for Adam, why can't he accept karma, that his boat was wrecked because he stole Revhead's car? Where did he dump it and in what condition was it left in?

Yeah Sally annoys me, a lot.

Doesn't mean you're right, I've always found her annoying and she acts like a 4 year old, not someone almost in double figures.

Viv's cute, and that scene was hilarious, funny how Martin changed his tune so quickly.

Why do you hate L&M so much? It's ridiculous actually. They're great members of the cast.

Yeah, I don't get why Adam is such a hero considering he stole someone's car. Sure it aided Roo, Carly and Bobby, but what he did was still wrong.

It sounds a bit like you contradicted yourself here. What do you mean "doesn't mean you're right"?

To clarify, on which of the following points do you claim that I am not right?

  1. Dodge doesn't get into more serious trouble?

  2. Sally doesn't act like a 4-year-old or is annoying?

  3. Sally accusing Dodge of lying (like about Viv being Lance's cousin)?

  4. Dodge making up for things by

helping with Tom & "Pippa"'s wedding anniversary

    ?

  5. Dodge making up for things by

    saving Sally from drowning

    ?

I didn't say I hated Lance & Martin. I said they were gutless for sleeping on the lounge instead of sleeping in their own beds.

Aided Roo, Carly and Bobby? What are you getting at?

I do wonder whether if it would have been a better ending had Dodge actually turned his life around, rather than end coming whilst he was still comitting crimes.

Sometimes I like to see a "baddie" get his comeuppance though! I always feel sorry for villains when they reform only to get found out.

Sorry, didn't phrase that well.

I still agree with Dodge getting found out (though I like the fact that Belle went to her death without anyone knowing she had hastened Flynn's), but around the time Dodge gets found out,

Fisher is going to turn him into the police for trying to steal a VCR. He's also going to get done for joyriding in the next few weeks.

, but so the Fletcher's had polished much of his roughness rather than being the same guy that he was when he strode into town 90 episodes before.

I think that's always the thing though watching TV, if a character's storyline doesn't go the way you want it, you end up disappointed even if the storyline was high. Just finished watching Wish Me Luck, a late 80's war drama and the scenery and storylines are great, but at the same time the fact that almost everyone who plays a major role in the series dies sort of sours it, because I'm left believing that there could have been a nice ending, especially the finale where you have most of the protagonists shot by the firing squad 2 minutes before the Allies liberate the town. It's a bit like Charlotte where she's about to leave for Vietnam and hour before her plane leaves she drowns.

Whilst the incident with Revhead and the girls was appallingly badly conceived and realised, another case of the writers trying to do more than they're allowed and expecting people to pick up on the euphemisms and subtext, and Adam's way of helping out, whilst nicely lateral, could have backfired enormously if the hoons had taken their anger out on the girls instead of chasing after him like idiots, I don't think he actually did anything wrong:I seem to remember him saying he just abandoned the car a few blocks away.So Revhead and Skids' quest for vengeance seems mostly motivated by humiliation and a sub-Freudian attachment to their "wheels".
