Do we see the New Macklin offices again? Seems a bit of a waste if they get used for just a months worth of storylines.

Those offices definitely look the part. Shame that Tom seems to be the only character working there at the moment.

I loved the scenes with the motivation guru: "I'm alive and I'm firing and I feel fantastic!"

I loved that.

And I agree, those were some pretty nifty offices, especially for 1989!!

Firstly the Lance, Martin, Marilyn comedy act is so funny to watch, they are so uncoordinated its awesome; love the dance routine Carly, its awful! haha This just highlights how badly and out of character they are writing Maz in current episodes; they could be writing the baby storyline with so much energy and lots of comical twists and turns in amongst the more serious and emotional side to the way Nicole feels... frustrating!!

My opinion on Dodge is pretty much the same as Viv's - I think he can be manipulative, selfish and has been dishonest, not to mention everything with the fire and Phil - but its like Viv said, he is human and somewhere along the lines I still think he genuinely wants to change his life for the better and the Fletchers is his best chance. Or was. I think Pippa was rather harsh around the table and made it quite clear she doesn't like or want him in the family anymore in front of him as if he wasn't there, which wouldn't do Dodge any good in the long run at all, but I get where she was coming from in not wanting to loose Sally. It was a great episode and I cant remember watching it first time around so it is great to watch the scene where Sally is asked if she wants to be adopted, I think it was a really well written.

Good post, I especially agree with the bold, that was pretty awful by Pippa.

And I've done the complete 360 on Dodge. At first I thought he was a guy with a troubled past who deep down was a good guy, then he was totally wreckless, selfish and horrible, so I changed my tune. But over the past week or two weeks, he's definitely changed, is making more of an effort, and every now and then you see a guy who deep down isn't half bad, he just never got a real chance.

At last we agree on something GameTime.

it is a great pity that Dodge's 360 personailty turn comes just as (spoiler blackened out below)

Just as Steven is finding out that Dodge killed his uncle in the fire at Celia's shop at the end of this week/ Monday next week (373/74)

It's a pity some things can't be left in the past, he still has to wear it instead of being allowed to move forward and be given a chance to better himself. .

Ah well, fate has it, he will come out of jail in 5 or 6 year's time, as a bitter and twisted person, because of time served for an accident that took care of Stevo's precious uncle.

That's the funny thing about the good folk of Summer Bay, how they forgive and forget some, but never others. "Forgiveness" is a select commodity in that town. For example,

Shane was forgiven for his life of crime

, but Dodge wasn't.

Why is it funny/strange?... The circumstances with Shane are completely different. This is the reason for the town's different treatment of him. Obvious, no?

I hope so. Otherwise I'd find it very worrying there are people out there walking around who can't differentiate between the kind of bad behaviour displayed by Shane, and that displayed by Dodge.

Dodge stole cars and vandalised things, Shane stole cars and vandalised things. Both had supportive or semi-supportive families. Both had best mates (Dodge Steven, and Shane Damian). The difference is, Shane had a brother (who was also a policeman). Dodge had SOME support from Tom & "Pippa".

Why do you find it worrying there are "people walking around" who you claim "can't differentiate" between the 2 you claim are "very different"?

^Yes but Dodge inadvertently killed someone, knows about it and has decided to ignore it, OR doesn't feel any remorse for it at all. He has watched Ste grief for Phil and yet he has appeared not to really care about it. Most people would be so racked with guilt it would be eating away at them. Shane wasn't ever that emotionally cold or selfish. Shanes petty crimes were all just hot air and carried out becuase of teenage boredom. Besides up until now most of the community have given him a fair chance despite his criminal record.

I cant speak for beau_t but I personally think it is worrying if people cant see the difference between two very different types of people.
