The next morning (Monday), Alison and the girls arrive at TAFE and get ready to sit for their half-yearly exams

Alison: What’s first?

Melissa: Let’s see. *checks the exam timetable* We have our English exam this morning and our Science exam this afternoon.

Kat: My worst subject. When’s the Maths exam?

Melissa: Tomorrow morning.

Sylvia: I didn’t study for Science. *smiles*

Rachael: That isn’t something to be proud of Sylvia. During break, you can have the option to STUDY for it.

Sylvia: Good one Rachael.

*Vicki enters*

Vicki: Am I late Lolly?

Lolly: Just in time.

*Vicki sits with the girls*

Kat: You look awful Vic.

Vicki: I couldn’t get to sleep last night. I just kept lying there thinking about my mother’s surgery today.

Rachael: She’ll be fine sis. Don’t worry. *puts her arm around Vicki*

*Lolly gets the class’s attention*

Lolly: The English exam starts at 9:30 and ends at 11:00. Later this afternoon, the Science exam will start at 1:00 and end at 3:30. If you have to go to work or any other appointment, see me during break. It’s now 9:29. The exam starts now! *goes over to her desk and sits down*

*The students then start their English exam*

At Civic High, Catherine is hanging out with Alexis near the library when Alex walks past them

Alex: Hey Alexis. *kisses her on the cheek*

Alexis: Hello.

Catherine: That’s right. Don’t talk to me.

*Alex glares at her*

Alex: Why would I talk to an ignorant, self-righteous BITCH!!!

Catherine: EXCUSE ME!!! I TRIED TO APOLOGISE TO YOU AND WHAT DID YOU DO? YOU VERBALLY ABUSED ME IN THE QUAD!!!!

Alex: YOU DESERVED IT!!!!

*Alexis gets in-between them*

Alexis: Stop it! This is not solving anything!

Catherine: Why don’t you tell him to stop acting like a baby?

Alex: Why don’t you tell her to stop acting like a bitch?

Alexis: Go your separate ways!

*Catherine and Alex storm off. Just as they leave, Natalie approaches Alexis*

Natalie: Oh Alexis. Failed at trying to restore friendships again have we?

Alexis: At least I’ve got friends. I don’t see Carmen or Ella with you.

Natalie: I haven’t forgotten what you did to me at Harleys. I’m going to get you back. Just you wait. *walks off*

Alexis: *sarcastically* Boo hoo.

Over at Jenny and Brock’s house, Mrs Jackson has arrived to help Jenny out maintaining the house.

Jenny: Thanks for coming over.

Mrs Jackson: No worries. Now you just relax on the sofa and watch TV while I get you something to eat.

Jenny: I feel like some yoghurt. Is there any in the fridge?

*Mrs Jackson looks in the fridge*

Mrs Jackson: There’s one tub of Yoplait left.

Jenny: Okay. *starts to stand up*

Mrs Jackson: Sit back down missy. You need to relax, I will do everything for you.

Jenny: You don’t mind? Cause I don’t want you to think that I’m using you.

Mrs Jackson: Of course not dear. Sylvia helps out all the time.

Jenny: Right. *grabs her yoghurt and starts to eat it*

When the English exam is finished, Alison and her friends go to the back of the library and hang out before their Science exam.

Alison: That was pretty easy.

Vicki: I thought so too.

Sylvia: Who’s ready for the Science exam? *raises her hand*

Kat: I thought you didn’t study for it.

Sylvia: I didn’t.

Rachael: Why don’t you study for it right now.

Sylvia: Good idea. *walks over to Amy* Hey Amy! Mind if I study with you?

Amy: Of course not.

*Sylvia sits down with Amy and they study together*

Melissa: I just hope she puts that studying to good use.

Alison: At least we’ve got the Maths exam tomorrow morning cause me and Sylvia have to work in the afternoon.

Melissa: How is that job at Darling Harbour going?

Alison: Good. I’m working tomorrow and Saturday.

Vicki: I’m looking for a job at the moment. I don’t want to be unemployed forever.

Kat: How old are you Vicki?

Vicki: 27 and-a-half. I’ll be 28 in August.

Rachael: What job are you looking for?

Vicki: I’m thinking of working at Grace Bros in the CBD.

Alison: Part-time or full-time?

Vicki: I’ll start off part-time then when I finish TAFE, I’ll move onto full-time.

Alison: Call them and book an interview.

Vicki: I’m going to do it later this week.

At Civic High School, its lunchtime and Riggot and Alexis are behind the industrial arts block kissing.

Alexis: Was I your first kiss?

Riggot: Of course you were. *kisses her on the lips lightly*

Alexis: Someone’s coming!

Riggot: Who?

Alexis: Madison. Hide under the tree. I don’t want anyone from school to know we are dating yet.

Riggot: Got it. *hides under the tree while Madison walks over to Alexis*

Madison: Hey Lex.

Alexis: Maddie. How was Science?

Madison: It was a bludge. Ms Fuller wasn’t in and we had a sub. What did you have?

Alexis: English. *rolls her eyes* That Mr McDonnell is so boring.

Madison: Was that Riggot I saw with you?

Alexis: Yeah. He wanted to borrow my calculator for Maths cause you know I always bring a spare just in case. *laughs*

Madison: Right. I’ll see you in DT. *walks off*

Alexis: *to Riggot* Coast is clear!

*Riggot races over to Alexis and kisses her again*

Riggot: Oh no!

Alexis: What?

Riggot: Tyson’s coming. Hide quickly.

Alexis: Right. *hides under the bushes as Tyson walks over to Riggot*

Tyson: Sup bro.

Riggot: Not much man. Yourself?

Tyson: English was boring aye?

Riggot: Tell me about it.

Tyson: You got rugby training this arvo?

Riggot: No. Wanna chill at my place? Tell all the boys to come.

Tyson: Sure bro. Catch you around. *walks off*

*Alexis walks over to Riggot and checks herself in the mirror*

Alexis: My make-up is all smeared!

Riggot: At least the bushes didn’t ruin your good looks. *smiles*

Alexis: Cheeky boy! *hits him playfully*

Over at TAFE, Alison and her friends get ready to start the Science exam.

Lolly: Science exam begins in ten, nine, eight…

Alison: Okay girls. Good luck.

Rachael: I hope we all do well.

Lolly: Three, two, one. Commence exam!

*The students begin their Science exam*

Meanwhile, Catherine and Alex once again clash on the playground.

Alex: Bitch!

Catherine: Sooky la-la!

Alex: Mean!

Catherine: Whinger!

Alex: DOG BREATH!!!

Catherine: SIMPLETON!!!!

*Both give each other the finger before storming off*

When the Science exam is finished at 3:30pm, Alison is waiting at the bus stop with Rachael, Sylvia and Amy.

Alison: I’m so glad that today is over!

Amy: I know. That Science exam was really hard.

Sylvia: I think I did really well.

Rachael: That’s cause I made you study during break.

*They see Catherine walk out of the school*

Alison: Catherine!

*Catherine walks over to Alison and her friends*

Catherine: Hey Ali.

Alison: Something wrong sis?

Catherine: Yes. Alex said that….

Alison: Said what?

Catherine: He said that he wishes I would die. *wipes away a tear*

*Alison and the girls are shocked*

That afternoon, Amy goes over to the Oloaga’s house and knocks on the door.

*Jessica opens the door*

Jessica: Hi Amy. What are you doing here?

Amy: I want to talk to Alex.

Jessica: He’s in his bedroom. Want me to go get him?

Amy: No. I’ll let myself in. *goes inside the house*

Jessica: Can I get you some tea?

Amy: No thanks. Which door is it again?

Jessica: First door on the right.

Amy: Thanks. *knocks on Alex’s bedroom door*

Alex: Enter.

*Amy goes into Alex’s bedroom*

Alex: Sup Amy.

Amy: Hey. Listen, I want to talk to you about something.

Alex: What about?

Amy: Catherine told me what you said to her today at school.

Alex: She was calling me names as well!

Amy: Why would you wish her dead?

Alex: I’m sorry?

Amy: I said why would you say to Catherine that you wish her dead.

Alex: I NEVER said that!!!

Amy: So is Catherine lying?

Alex: Maybe. Cause I never said that to her!

Amy: I see…

Meanwhile, Rachael is talking to Catherine about it.

Rachael: Did he really say that to you?

Catherine: I got told he said it.

Rachael: By who?

Catherine: One of Natalie Evans’ friends.

Rachael: What’s her name?

Catherine: Ella Chastain.

Rachael: Right. *picks up the phone and dials a number*

Catherine: Who are you calling?

Rachael: Melissa. She knows the Chastain’s. Hi Dina, is Melissa there please? Oh okay. Tell her to call me as soon as she gets back. Thanks. *hangs up the phone* She’s at the shop.

Catherine: How does she know Ella?

Rachael: They live across the street from Melissa.

Catherine: Okay. I just hope Ella’s telling the truth.

At Alexis’s house, she is with her friends having one of their “girl talks”.

Alexis: This guy is SO cute. Check him out girls. *shows them a male model in DOLLY Magazine*

Sumara: I wish that was my boyfriend.

Madison: You have a boyfriend?

Sumara: No. I just want to find a boyfriend like that.

Hayley: If only Leon’s muscles were that strong.

Nicola: Does he work out?

Hayley: Of course he does.

Coral: Speaking of boyfriends, what’s going on with you and Riggot?

Alexis: *lying* Nothing. We’re just friends.

Madison: Really?

Alexis: Yes really Madison.

Coral: Then why were hiding under the bushes at lunch?

Alexis: I was playing hide and seek with Jessica.

Nicola: Did anyone notice Catherine acting strange in Period 6?

Alexis: Yeah. She wasn’t herself.

Sumara: I think I know why. Because when I was walking out of the canteen, I heard Natalie and Ella talking about her and Alex.

Alexis: What did they say?

Sumara: Ella was boasting to Natalie that Catherine fell for her trick.

Alexis: What trick???

Sumara: Ella told Catherine that Alex wished she was dead.

Alexis: Oh really? Well, if I see Ella tomorrow she’ll be getting a few choice words thrown at her.

Hayley: What about Natalie?

Alexis: She’ll keep.

Over at Riggot’s house, he and his friends are chilling in the living room.

Riggot: I hear Kristen’s having a party on Friday. Are any of you going?

Leon: Who’s Kristen?

Riggot: She’s a friend of Mareta’s.

Seru: From school?

Riggot: She doesn’t go to our school. She lives in Balmain.

Elijah: Is she the one that always smokes weed?

Riggot: Yes.

Tyson: How did Mareta meet her?

Riggot: At the donut shop.

Ben: I think we should go to her party.

Leon: We don’t know who she is.

Ben: Still, I want to go somewhere on Friday.

Seru: When’s Kristen visiting next bro?

Riggot: Thursday I think.

*Mareta enters the living room*

Mareta: What are you guys talking about?

Tyson: We were just talking about relationships. You know guy stuff.

Mareta: Okay. Just wondering. *walks into the kitchen*

The next day (Tuesday), Alison and her friends are in class waiting to start their Maths exam.

Alison: This happens to be my worst subject ever.

Kat: You’ll be fine. Just try and think positive.

Sylvia: I’m not exactly good at Maths myself. I know I’m going to fail it.

Amy: Maths is quite a challenging subject.

Melissa: I’m just glad tomorrow is the final day of exams.

Rachael: Have we got any this afternoon?

Vicki: No we don’t. We leave early today.

Alison: Amen!

Sylvia: According to the timetable, *gets out the exam timetable* we have History and Geography tomorrow morning and PDHPE in the afternoon. Then on Thursday and Friday, we don’t come to TAFE.

Kat: How come?

Melissa: We just don’t.

*Lolly enters the classroom*

Lolly: Good morning class.

Class: Good morning.

Lolly: I see we’re all ready for today’s Maths exam. Since it’s nearly 9:00, you may start now.

*The students start their Maths exam*

At Civic High School, Carina is walking to her second period class (Science) when Natalie and her friends approach her.

Natalie: Hey Carina. What’s 2 x 100?

Carina: 200.

Natalie: Well what do you know girls. She actually knows her multiplication.

Carina: That’s right.

Ella: I bet you don’t know what 500 + 200 - 400 is!

Carina: I know what the answer is. I just don’t have answer to you bitches!

Ella: Ooh!!! This one’s got an attitude problem. Wouldn’t you say girls?

Natalie: Yes and a poor education.

Carmen: Leave her alone. It’s not her fault.

Natalie: Of course it is Carmen!

*Year 10 student Donna Maynard walks over to Natalie, Ella and Carmen*

Donna: Lay off Natalie!

Natalie: Or what Derelict Donna?

Donna: Chop your hair right off!

Ella: You can’t talk to her like that derelict!

Donna: I just did poodle head! Now rack off!

Natalie: You’ll keep! *walks off with Carmen and Ella*

Donna: You okay Carina?

Carina: I’m fine. Just sick of Natalie’s s**t.

Donna: I’ve had to put up with it since Year 7.

Carina: How do you deal with it?

Donna: I tend to ignore it but sometimes it really gets to me.

*they walk into the classroom*

Carina: Have they ever harmed you?

Donna: Natalie pulled my hair last year. Does that count?

*Carina nods*

Carina: Why would she do that?

Donna: She just did it for no reason. *they walk over to the table where Mareta and Kiara are sitting*

Kiara: Hey girls.

Carina: Hey.

Mareta: Something wrong Carina?

Carina: Just Natalie and Ella.

Kiara: Is that bitch still giving you trouble?

Carina: Yes.

Kiara: Don’t worry. If Alexis sees Ella today, oh will the fireworks go off.

Donna: Why?

Mareta: Ella’s been talking s**t about Catherine and Alex.

Carina: Does Julianna know?

Mareta: She just found out.

Carina: I can’t wait for it.

At recess, Ella is on her way to meet Natalie and Carmen at the back oval when Alexis approaches her.

Alexis: Tricked Catherine did we?

Ella: What’s it to you Alexis?

Alexis: I DON’T appreciate my friends being lied to and for you to say something like that was extremely hateful to say the least!

Ella: I was just being a helpful…

Alexis: OH GARBAGE!!!! YOU WERE HEARD BOASTING TO NATALIE ABOUT HOW CATHERINE FELL FOR YOUR TRICK!!!!

Ella: It all worked out didn’t it? They now hate each other more than ever.

Alexis: You wanna bet on that?

Ella: As a matter of fact, I do!

Alexis: Julianna!

*Julianna walks over to Alexis and when she sees Ella, she gets angry*

Julianna: WHY LIE ABOUT MY BROTHER FOR???

Ella: I lied Catherine not Alex you dumb bitch!

*Julianna grabs Ella’s shirt*

Julianna: Like YOU should talk poodle! If you ever talk s**t about my brother or any of my friends, I’ll make sure you have a nice facelift!

Ella: You don’t scare me!

Julianna: You haven’t seen me really angry yet. Trust me.

Ella: Whatever. *storms off*

Alexis: That’s right Ella! Run to Natalie!

Julianna: I bet she won’t tell lies about our friends anymore. Don’t you?

*Both Alexis and Julianna start laughing*

When her Maths exam is finished, Alison decides to go over to Melissa’s house and spend some time with Dina and Nina.

Alison: Hey Dina and Nina.

Dina: Hello. It’s so nice to see you Ali. *hugs Alison*

Alison: The pregnancy is starting to show now. Any cravings yet?

Dina: Tomato soup. Keeps my belly warm.

Alison: And how are you Nina?

Nina: I’m good. You know that derelict building over on Victoria Road that used to be a hairdressers?

Alison: Yeah I do.

Nina: I’m thinking of buying it and starting my own beauty salon.

Alison: How much is it selling for?

Nina: Two thousand dollars.

Melissa: That’s a bit expensive for a building that is almost had it.

Nina: I know. But I’ve always wanted to start my own career.

Dina: Very ambitious Nina is. She ran for seat of Pleasantview in last year’s election.

Nina: I lost by thirty-one votes.

Melissa: But at least you gave it a go.

Nina: I’m just glad Mary-Sue Oldie didn’t get the Premier seat. Bitch.

Alison: You told me about her once. Was she the queen bee of Pleasantview High?

Dina: Yes. And a very nasty one too. No-one liked her but they were too scared to say so.

*All of the girls start laughing*

After school, Sumara is walking home when Natalie and Ella approach her.

Natalie: Snitch on us to Alexis did we?

Sumara: So what?

Ella: You really shouldn’t have done that. *grabs Sumara’s hair*

Natalie and Ella confront Sumara after she told Alexis what Ella said to Catherine.

Natalie: Snitch on us to Alexis did we?

Sumara: So what?

Ella: You really shouldn’t have done that. *grabs Sumara’s hair*

Natalie: Payback time!

*Luckily for Sumara, Alexis sees what the girls are going to do to her*

Alexis: OH NO YOU DON’T!!!! *pulls Natalie off and punches her lower back*

*At the same time, Sumara overpowers Ella and punches her in the stomach*

Sumara: Take that Goldilocks!

Ella: Come on Natalie. Let’s run!

*they run off*

Sumara: Thanks Lexi.

Alexis: No worries sis. *they high-five*

Meanwhile, Alex sees Catherine at the bus stop and approaches her.

Alex: Hey.

Catherine: Hi.

Alex: Mind if I talk to you?

Catherine: Of course.

*Alex sits next to her*

Alex: I just want to say I’m sorry for acting like a jerk lately.

Catherine: Yeah. Well, I’m sorry for yelling at you and accusing you of deliberately injuring Seru.

Alex: It’s all good. Friends again?

Catherine: Sure. *they hug*

Alex: You know I never said that I wished you would die.

Catherine: I know. That bitch Ella lied to me. We should pay her back.

Alex: I know. Why don’t we cut off all those nice thick curls on her head?

Catherine: Too risky. I got it.

Alex: What?

Catherine: We’ll make her eat raw potatoes!

Alex: That sounds like a good idea. *smiles*

Catherine: I’m just glad we are friends again.

Alex: Me too.

The next day (Wednesday), Alison and her friends get ready to start their morning exam which is History and Geography.

Alison: Good luck girls.

Melissa: We are so gonna ace this exam.

Vicki: I love Geography. But I know the History exam has two essays and that’s my weakness.

Kat: Just do your best.

Sylvia: I just can’t wait for this afternoon’s exam then we have two days off!

Rachael: You must be real excited about that Sylvia.

Sylvia: You bet!

Amy: When do we get our marks back?

Alison: The beginning of next term.

*Lolly enters the classroom*

Lolly: Good morning class. For this morning’s exam, you have two separate papers. One for History and one for Geography. Both exams are an hour each so you have two hours to complete both papers. Then this afternoon, you have your PDHPE exam. The exams starts now!

*The class begins their exam*

At Civic High, Carina is sitting with Donna and Carmen in Food Tech talking.

Donna: You haven’t told me about yourself.

Carina: Let’s just say that I’ve been homeless all my life and got an education via a scholarship at the shelter I was staying in.

Donna: I am so sorry to hear that.

Carmen: That must suck. I feel for you I really do.

Carina: Thanks Carmen. *hugs her*

*Miss Coogan approaches them*

Miss Coogan: Are we working?

Carmen: Of course we are Miss.

Miss Coogan: Good. *walks over to another desk*

Meanwhile, Catherine manages to recruit Alexis and Sumara into her plan.

Alexis: It’s about time we taught those bitches a lesson

Sumara: What have you got in mind Catherine?

Catherine: We make them eat raw potatoes.

Alexis: I’m starting to like this idea already. But how are we going to corner them if we aren’t allowed in the classrooms during lunch.

Catherine: We’re not doing it in the classroom. We’re doing it out the back oval.

Sumara: Should I bring Carina, Donna, Julianna and Mareta to this as well?

Catherine: Julianna’s absent today but the other three aren’t.

Alexis: The sooner we do it the better!

At lunchtime, Natalie and Ella are sitting behind the Science rooms when Catherine and the girls approach them.

Catherine: Hello ladies.

Natalie: What do you want?

Alexis: You know your sneak attack on Sumara yesterday and the lie you told Catherine? It’s time for you to find out what it’s like to be bullied!

Ella: I’m SO scared!

Sumara: You should be. Catherine show them what we’ve got in store them.

*Catherine shows them the packet of raw potatoes*

Natalie: Potatoes? Big deal!

Catherine: That’s right ladies. You are going to eat them.

Ella: They’re not even cooked!

Carina: That’s right. You’re going to eat every single one of these.

Natalie: I don’t think so.

Mareta: We don’t think it. We know it.

Ella: I might get stomach cramps!

Alexis: We don’t care. If you don’t eat them, I’ll just simply shove them down your throat! NOW START EATING!!!

Donna: Do what she says.

*Natalie and Ella begin to eat the raw potatoes*

Over at TAFE, Alison and the girls have finished their History and Geography exam and are now using their break period to study for the PDHPE exam.

Alison: We’ve been studying really hard, haven’t we?

Rachael: Of course we have.

Kat: I can’t wait for this exam to end. Then four days of rest. YES!

Vicki: You seem so eager to have a break.

Kat: I am. I’ve been studying so hard that I barely sleep most nights.

Melissa: I feel for you. I really do.

Amy: I just can’t for it to end as well.

Meanwhile, Natalie and Ella have finished eating all of the raw potatoes.

Catherine: Have we learnt our lesson?

Natalie: I’m sick to my stomach from eating all of these potatoes. All right! You’ve made your point so now just get lost!

Alexis: That will teach not to mess with my friends.

Ella: Err…I gotta go to the toilet. *runs off*

Mareta: Let that be a lesson to you!

Natalie: I SAID GET LOST!!!!

Catherine: Come on girls. We’ve had our fun.

*they walk off*

Later that afternoon, Alison and her friends get ready to start their PDHPE exam.

Lolly: This is the final exam. I hope that you all do really well. The exam starts now!

*The class starts the PDHPE exam*

*When the bell rings, the class hand over their papers to Lolly before walking out of the classroom.

Lolly: I’ll see you all on Monday.

*Once Alison and her friends leave the building, they start celebrating*

Girls: YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
