Episode 88

Sumara and Alexis are on the bus to Warringah Mall where they see a junkie couple having a domestic two seats in front of them.
Junkie woman: I KNOW WHAT YOU’VE BEEN DOING YOU LOWLIFE DOG!!! DON’T TRY AND DENY IT!
Junkie man: I DIDN’T F***IN’ DO ANYTHING!!
Junkie woman: DON’T YOU LIE TO ME, MATE! WE’RE GONNA GET KICKED OF OUR HOME CAUSE OF F***IN’ YOU!!! GO DIE!!! *slams the stop button*
Sumara: *to Alexis* Will they ever shut up?
Alexis: They’re getting off anyway.
Junkie man: GO AND BITE YOUR A**E!
Junkie woman: What?
*the bus stops*
Female bus V/O: Doors opening, stand clear please.
*Sumara and Alexis look out the window and see the junkie woman hit the man across the arm and yelling at him*
Alexis: And now comes the violence!
Sumara: As long as they got off, I’m satisfied.
Angelica Mafi: Try being in the same train carriage as them.
Sumara: What train was that?
Angelica: As soon as I got on the train at Liverpool, I heard those two bogans arguing over this and that. Unfortunately they got off at Central and followed me to the bus stop where the arguing continued.
Alexis: That’s the same train we caught, but we didn’t see them.
Angelica: I was in the second carriage.
Sumara: We were like two carriages down from you.
Alexis: Those sort of people need to live in the bloody bush.
Angelica: Or sent to halfway houses!
*Both Alexis and Angelica laugh*
Angelica: So, what are your names?
Sumara: I’m Sumara Fraser and this is my bestie Alexis Thorpe.
Angelica: How long have you been best friends for?
Alexis: Since I arrived in Australia which was six years ago.
Angelica: Year 3?
Alexis: No. Year 2. They wanted me to repeat Year 2, but my mother refused to allow it. *pretending to be Claire* “I will NOT allow my daughter to repeat a grade!”
*Angelica laughs*
Sumara: You know what girl? You haven’t told us your name.
Angelica: I’m Angelica Mafi.
Sumara: That’s a nice name. You still in school Angelica?
Angelica: Yes. I’m in Year 11 and also working as a waitress.
Alexis: Is the pay good?
Sumara: Alexis!
Alexis: I just wanna know!
Angelica: The pay is terrific. $10 an hour.
Alexis: Cool.
Sumara: Which high school do you go to?
Angelica: I go to Casula High School. What about you?
Alexis: We both go to Civic High, but in Year 7 I went to Pittwater High. And as for primary school, we went to Bexley North Public School.
Sumara: I was a bitch in Year 7.
Alexis: You should’ve seen me in Year 7! Got suspended for climbing out of the Maths room window.
Sumara: I wasn’t a bitch for long. I was just frustrated cause of family problems.
Angelica: How long were you a bitch for?
Sumara: Term 1.
Angelica: I’m generally nice, but when people p*** me off all I can say it watch out!
*the girls laugh when the bus stops at Warringah Mall*
Alexis: It was nice meeting you Angelica.
Angelica: Same here.
Sumara: Since you’re getting off Angelica, why don’t you come with us?
Angelica: Sure. I might do that. *gets off the bus with both Alexis and Sumara*
Female bus V/O: Doors closing, stand clear please.
*the bus drives off as the girls walk towards the mall*

That night, Alex and Carina are having their date at Kat’s house.
Alex: It was sure nice of Kat to let you have the house to ourselves.
Carina: Ah, she was going to the movies with Sylvia anyway. She said she’d be back by eleven.
Alex: I just can’t believe school goes back on Tuesday.
Carina: I wonder why they gave us only a week’s holiday this year?
Alex: I think it had something to do with last year’s seven week Christmas/New Year holiday.
Carina: Probably was. *laughs*
Alex: Can’t wait to go back to school on Tuesday.
Carina: Thought you hated school.
Alex: I do, but I like seeing everyone at school.
Carina: Ah right. Well, I just hope Donna will be okay.
Alex: Me too. I don’t like it when people upset our friend.
*Two hours later, Kat arrives home to find Alex and Carina asleep on the sofa*
Kat: Alex? *gently shakes Alex to wake him up*
Alex: *muttering* What?
Kat: It’s almost 10:30.
Alex: I had a great night. I better get home.
Kat: I’ll give you a lift.
Alex: What about Carina?
Kat: She’ll be fine.
*Alex and Kat leave the house*
The next morning (Monday), Alison is driving to TAFE when she sees another car come out of the opposite direction. Alison hits the brakes, but the car crashes into her anyway.
*Alison gets out of her car and inspects it*
Alison: Damn! *sees that the front of the car is smashed before going to the driver of the other car* You okay?
Man: I’m fine. I didn’t see you that’s all.
Alison: I hit my brakes.
Man: You did? Oh I’m sorry.
*Alison and the man exchange car details before the police are called*
Alison: Who was at fault?
Policewoman: The man was because he came out and crashed into you as you hit your brakes.
Man: So how much do I have to pay this lass over here?
Policewoman: $3,500.
Man: Sure. I’ll cough the money up.
(As a result of the accident, Alison is 45 minutes late to TAFE)
Melissa: We were starting to worry about you.
Alison: I was in a car accident. My car has been written-off.
Rachael: Ouch!
Alison: I know. But the guy who crashed into me was a fault so he had to buy me another car.
Kat: How much did he have to pay you?
Alison: $3,500.
Melissa: Gosh! Didn’t know the car was that damaged?
Alison: Now you do Melissa. *smiles* Thank god I walked away from that crash unscathed.
*Melissa, Rachael and Kat hug Alison*
Alison: Say where are Sylvia and Vicki?
Rachael: Sylvia phoned in sick and Vicki’s in the lunch room. She’s very stressed today.
Alison: Why?
Rachael: Her and Tevita had another argument.
Alison: About the same thing I bet.
*Rachael nods her head*
Kat: I just wish he’d cut the kid Vicki’s looking after some slack.
Rachael: Yeah.
Alison: I’ll go to her place this afternoon and see if she’s okay.
Rachael: I’ll come too.

That afternoon, Alison and Rachael are at Vicki’s house having coffee.
Rachael: Feeling okay?
Vicki: I’m starting to feel a little better now. Thanks guys.
Alison: No problem. That’s what friends are for.
*the phone rings*
Vicki: I better get that. *picks up the phone* Hello*
Rachael: So are you getting a new car Ali?
Alison: I don’t think so. I think I’ll stick to public transport for a while.
Rachael: Are you sure?
Alison: I’m sure Rachael. Thanks for looking out for me.
Rachael: Like you said, that’s what friends are for. *smiles*
*Vicki returns to the table with a shocked look on her face*
Alison: Vicki?
Vicki: That was the police. Suzie’s dead.
Rachael: What happened?
Vicki: She overdosed. How am I going to break the news to Cameron? And where is he going to live? *starts to tear up*
*Alison and Rachael both hug Vicki who is now in tears*

Going to have the next episode up over the weekend :)

Awesome!! :D Looking forwards to read it.

What do you think of Alison in this fanfic?

I think she's pretty cool and a good character you had brought into this fanfic :) I never had watched her before on NZ screens but I remember watching a few video clips of her in old episodes :)

Episode 89

When Cameron arrives home from the institute, Vicki looks sad.
Cameron: *holds up a flashcard* Why are you sad?
Vicki: Buddy…I don’t know how to tell you this but Mum isn’t coming back.
Cameron: *holds up another flashcard* Why?
Vicki: She overdosed on some drugs this morning. I’m sorry, but she didn’t make it.
*Cameron’s face starts to crumple*
Vicki: Come here.
*Cameron runs upstairs wailing*
Vicki: Cameron! *starts to break down*
*Rachael hugs Vicki*
Rachael: It’s okay Vicki.
Vicki: I wasn’t expecting this Rachael.
Rachael: I know. Cameron wasn’t either.
Vicki: Where is he going to live now?
Rachael: How about his sister Violet?
Vicki: They haven’t been in contact for six years. And he doesn’t have family members close by.
Rachael: You could always go see a social worker about it.
Vicki: *wiping her tears away* You’re right. I might book an appointment tomorrow. In the meantime, can you go check on Cameron? He needs comfort right now.
Rachael: Okay. *goes upstairs*
*Vicki sighs*

The next day (Tuesday), Civic High students return for Term 3.
Sumara: I never thought I’d be excited to go back to school.
Catherine: I know. The holidays were boring.
*Alexis walks over to the girls*
Alexis: Hey besties! *gives them both a kiss on the cheek*
Sumara: I’m surprised you made it.
Alexis: Really?
Sumara: I thought you’d be still in bed.
Alexis: Me? Not today. It’s the first day of Term 3.
Catherine: I must say Lexi, you sound really happy today. I was getting really concerned because of the way you handled Debbie’s tragic death.
Alexis: I know. But being with my friends is all that matters right now. *smiles*
*Sumara and Catherine hug Alexis*
(Meanwhile, Riggot and the rest of the Year 8 boys are listening to music at the back of the science labs)
Riggot: I seriously wanted to sleep in, but no! Mum wakes me up!
Seru: Same. Except the alarm woke me up.
*The boys laugh*
Tyson: What have we got first Riggz?
Riggot: English.
Leon: Seru and I have Science. Boring.
Alex: I’ve got PDHPE! And my class is doing P.E! YES!!! *fist pumps*
Leon: Aye don’t show off! *nudges Alex in the ribs with his elbow*
Alex: Sorry man.
Seru: Science sucks. I hate it.
Tyson: Oh poor Seru! *smiles*
Seru: Shut up Tyson! *smiles back*
*the bell rings*
Riggot: Class time. *the boys get up from their spot and head to their roll call classes*

At TAFE, Alison is studying much more than she should and this is concerning her friends.
Sylvia: Ali is studying way more than she should.
Melissa: I’m guessing it’s the shock from the car accident.
Kat: I was in a car accident once. It was scary.
Rachael: How old were you?
Kat: I was 13. Mum, Dad and I were heading to Walgett when we hit a pothole and crashed into a tree. How we walked away without injuries remains a mystery.
Rachael: That was God giving you a chance to survive.
Melissa: Where’s Vicki today?
Sylvia: She had to go meet up with some social worker from Family and Community Services. I have a feeling it has to do with Cameron.
Alison: It does.*puts away her textbooks*
Kat: Finished studying?
Alison: Yes. How long until lunch break is over?
Rachael: We’ve got like 20 minutes left.
Alison: Good. Cause I’m starving.
Melissa: I’m sure we all are.
*the girls walk to the canteen together*
(At the head office of Family and Community Services, Vicki is in social worker Kerry Warman’s office)
*Kerry walks in*
Kerry: Vicki Adams is it?
Vicki: Yes.
Kerry: I’m Kerry Warman, a social worker from FACS. *shakes Vicki’s hand*
Vicki: Nice to meet you.
Kerry: So what brings you here? Did you want to adopt a child?
Vicki: Well, I would like you to put someone into my care.
Kerry: Are you referring to Cameron Llewellyn? I believe that was his name.
Vicki: Yes. I told you about him when we spoke on the phone yesterday.
Kerry: Have you any children of your own?
Vicki: No. The reason for that is I was told by my doctor that I couldn’t have any children.
*Kerry looks at Vicki sympathetically*
Kerry: I’m so sorry to hear that Vicki.
Vicki: It’s okay. So, I would like to foster Cameron for a number of reasons. I can give him a good education, teach him to be more outgoing and adjust to family life.
Kerry: I see. Do you currently work at the moment?
Vicki: I work at Grace Bros in the city, as well as studying for my HSC at the TAFE City Campus.
Kerry: May I ask your date of birth please?
Vicki: I was born on August 23, 1961.
Kerry: Why are you studying for you HSC now?
Vicki: I never got to complete it due to a troubled childhood. I’m going to be brutally honest here, I stabbed my father to death.
*Kerry gasps*
Kerry: Really?
*Vicki goes onto explain why she murdered her dad*
Kerry: Oh. I’m so sorry you and your sister had to put up with so much abuse.
Vicki: I made a promise to Suzie that I’d look after Cameron and I intend on sticking to that promise.
Kerry: That shows spirit Vicki. *smiles* Now, if you can sign some papers for me you’ll officially be Cameron’s foster parent.
*Vicki smiles and takes a pen to file the paperwork*

When school has finished, Alexis, Sumara, Riggot and Jessica are leaving the school grounds when they see Angelica Mafi waiting for them.
Angelica: Hi Alexis and Sumara.
Alexis: Angelica! What brings you to Civic? *kisses Angelica on the cheek*
Angelica: I wanted to see you guys.
Sumara: Hey Angelica. *kisses Angelica on the cheek as well*
Angelica: I’m heading back home at 4:30. I just wanted to see if you girls wanted to chill for a bit.
Jessica: Hello.
Riggot: Sup!
Angelica: Hi.
Sumara: Oh sorry. These are our friends Riggot and Jessica. This is Angelica Mafi.
Riggot/Jessica: Nice to meet you.
Angelica: Likewise.
Alexis: Riggot is in Year 8 like us and Jessica is in Year 7. Her brother Alex is in our year.
Angelica: You’re pretty Jessica.
Jessica: Aww thanks. *smiles*
Riggot: Well, I better go. I’m going to Tyson’s place. See you later. *hugs both Jessica and Sumara, before shaking Angelica’s hand* It was nice meeting you Angelica.
Angelica: Later.
Alexis: HAVE you forgot someone Mr Riggot?!?
Riggot: Oh sorry babe. *gives Alexis a passionate kiss*
Alexis: That’s better. See you later.
*Riggot walks off*
Angelica: Is Riggot your boyfriend Alexis?
Alexis: Yes.
Jessica: I might go too. Have to get the housework done.
Sumara: See you later Jess. *gives Jessica a kiss on the cheek*
Alexis: Bye sis. *gives Jessica a hug and kiss on the cheek*
Jessica: Can I hug you Angelica?
Angelica: Sure. *hugs Jessica*
Jessica: Bye. *walks off*
Sumara/Alexis/Angelica: Bye.
Alexis: Do you have a best friend Angelica?
Angelica: Yeah I do. His name is Robert.
Sumara: I have a guy best friend too. But I don’t see him that often.
Alexis: Are you referring to Bryce Fenton?
Sumara: Yes. He’s been my best friend since primary school.
Alexis: Ahem!
Sumara: You’re my girl best friend Lex.
Alexis: That’s better.
Angelica: What’s this Bryce guy like?
Alexis: A complete douche.
Sumara: Don’t listen to her Angelica. She never liked Bryce.
Alexis: Would you like someone that constantly teased you all the bloody time?
Sumara: No, I wouldn’t. But still, he’s a really nice guy.
Alexis: When he was in Year 5 and I was in Year 4, he poured orange juice over my head. Who does that?
Sumara: At least he didn’t throw a chair.
Angelica: What?
Alexis: I threw a chair at Bryce cause he made Sumara cry one day.
Sumara: Whenever someone purposely made me cry in primary school, Alexis would go off at them.
Alexis: I remember when we were in Year 3 and we had Mrs O’Malley. She screamed at Sumara one day all because Sumara asked our other best friend Francine Hewitt for a pen. Sumara ended up bawling her eyes out and I got so angry that I grabbed a ruler and smacked Mrs O’Malley in the face with it. You should’ve seen her reaction. She was so shocked that she refused to teach our class for six weeks.
Angelica: Didn’t know you were wild?
Alexis: I’m more mellow now than I was as a child. I don’t know why.
*They see the bus come*
Angelica: Who’s house am I going to?
Sumara: Mine.
*the bus pulls up*
V/O: Doors opening, stand clear please.
*The three girls get on the bus*
(Meanwhile, Tevita arrives home to find Vicki in the kitchen drinking coffee)
Tevita: Why weren’t you at TAFE today?
Vicki: Sit down.
*Tevita sits at the kitchen table*
Tevita: What is it?
Vicki: I went and saw a social worker from FACS today. I’ve decided to foster Cameron.
*Tevita looks shocked*

Episode 90

Upon hearing Vicki’s decision, Tevita doesn’t take the news well.
Tevita: You WHAT?!?
Vicki: I’ve decided to foster Cameron. He needs a home Tevita.
Tevita: I cannot believe you went behind my back and saw a social worker from FACS. You didn’t even discuss it with me!
Vicki: SO?!? I’M ALLOWED TO MAKE MY OWN DECISIONS TEVITA!!!!
Tevita: Who was the social worker you saw?
Vicki: Kerry Warman, but that’s beside the point Tevita! I promised Suzie that I would look after him and that’s what I intend on doing! *puts a dirty plate into the sink*
Tevita: Don’t get me wrong Vicki. I like Cameron. He’s a nice kid. But we can’t be parents with him.
Vicki: Are you not a kid person?
Tevita: I never said I wasn’t!
Vicki: You listen to me right now! I intend on looking after Cameron as my own child and if you can’t accept that, then tough! *throws a tea towel at him before storming upstairs*
Tevita: Vicki! *sighs heavily*
(At Alison’s house, she is watching Seven Nightly News when Amy brings in some drinks from the kitchen)
Amy: Here’s some Fanta.
Alison: Oh thanks Amy. I greatly appreciate it. You coming back to TAFE soon?
Amy: Maybe Thursday. My tonsillitis is starting to clear up.
Alison: Good thing that antibiotics worked. *smiles weakly*
Amy: You okay?
Alison: Not really. I threw myself into studying today Amy. I don’t know why.
Amy: Maybe it’s because you are trying to put the car accident behind you.
Alison: Could be. But I’m not convinced.
Amy: I KNOW it is Ali! I’m not stupid! The accident wasn’t your fault. You must realise that.
Alison: I try, but I can’t help but blame myself.
Amy: Stop blaming yourself! You weren’t at fault!
*Alison looks at Amy*
Amy: Come here you. *hugs Alison*

At Civic High the next day (Wednesday), Todd is giving Donna a hard time in the canteen.
Todd: Mutt, mutt! S**t, s**t!!
Donna: Grow up Todd!
Todd: Can’t help that you’re a s**t and a mutt!
Donna: Go bother someone else! I’m trying to have my lunch!
Todd: How about no?
*Alexis sees what’s going on and pins Todd against the wall*
Alexis: ARE YOU PICKING ON HER?!?
Todd: In my business again Alexis?
Alexis: I SAID ARE YOU PICKING ON DONNA?!?
Todd: She’s a snitch, not too mention a mutt!
*Alexis slaps Todd*
Alexis: LEAVE MY FRIENDS ALONE!!! GOT IT TODD?!?
*Todd runs off*
Alexis: You okay Donna?
Donna: Yeah. Thanks for that Alexis.
Alexis: No worries. How’s are your classes going?
Donna: Terrible. I’m starting to think that Natalie is trying to turn everyone against me.
Alexis: That’s horrible. Wait till I get my hands on the little skank…
Donna: She’s not worth getting expelled over. At least Mareta and Carina have been supportive.
Alexis: Not Kiara?
Donna: Kiara hasn’t been at school since last term. I heard she’s in hospital.
Alexis: What happened?
Donna: Something to do with her appendix.
Alexis: I’m going to find Sumara. Did you want to come with?
Donna: Sure.
*Alexis and Donna leave the canteen where they run into more trouble with Natalie and one of her bitchy friends*
Natalie: I see you’ve hired a bodyguard Derelict Donna. How wonderful!
Alexis: Would you like a black eye?
Natalie: I think I’ll pass on that one. Right Tara?
Tara: Right. God you bore me Alexis.
Alexis: You’re not so crash hot yourself Tara! By the way, how’s your boyfriend?
*Tara sees red*
Tara: Don’t EVER bring him into this conversation!
Donna: Guilty conscience aye?
Natalie: *to Tara* Let’s go! These bitches aren’t worth our time!
Tara: I agree. *walks off with Natalie*
Donna: Don’t come back anytime!
Alexis: Or you’ll be needing plastic surgery!
*Donna and Alexis look at each other than start cracking up laughing*

That afternoon, Leon and Hayley get off the bus on their way home from school when they see Lowana sitting at the bus shelter.
Leon: Lowana?
Lowana: Hello Leon. May I talk to you?
Hayley: We’ve been thinking of talking to you too.
Lowana: Go on.
Leon/Hayley: We’re sorry.
Lowana: No. I’m sorry for everything. It’s just that when I first met you Hayley, you reminded me of a girl that my ex-boyfriend cheated on me with.
Hayley: Really?
Lowana: Yeah. I shouldn’t have taken it out on you. That wasn’t fair.
Hayley: No it wasn’t. But I’m more than willing to make amends with you.
Lowana: You are?
Hayley: Of course. *to Leon* Is Lowana forgiven?
Leon: She’s my sister. Of course I forgive her!
Lowana: Group hug!
*Lowana, Hayley and Leon get into a group hug*
(Meanwhile, Donna arrives home from school and sees an envelope on the doormat. She opens it to find another threatening letter.)
“SNITCHES BEWARE!!! WE ARE OUT TO FIND YOU, SO YOU BETTER WATCH YOUR BACK DONNA!!!”
*A scared and upset Donna scrunches the letter up and throws it across the room.*
