Thank You, Pemblie and -Carina-, unsure if I'll continue this fan fic or not

This is set a week or two after Brax's proposal and Angelo's back at work.

19:

Charlie laid in bed next to Brax, she was so happy, her dreams were coming true and her life was complete.

'I love you' he whispered playing with her hair.

'I love you too' she smiled.

Charlie placed her head on Brax's shoulder, she was so happy, all her friends were going to know about her wedding.

'So where do you want it?' Brax asked

'Sorry?'

'The wedding babe, where do you want it?'

'The beach' Charlie grinned.

'Ok and bridesmaids?'

'What about you, who's going to be your best man?' Charlie asked sitting up and letting the sheet slide off her body, causing Brax to stop what her was doing.

'Um I was thinking Angelo, he is the only nice guy I really know around here and he's done a lot for me' Brax smiled.

'OK sounds great'

'Where are you going?' Brax questioned as Charlie got dressed.

'Um work, silly'

'Oh' Brax exclaimed.

Charlie smiled at Brax as she buttoned her shirt up, kissed him on the head left the house. Brax smiled to himself as he got up and went for a shower.

At the Station

Angelo was on his computer typing away a report when Charlie burst in the door with a smile on her face,

'Who's made you happy' Angelo said spinning around on his chair.

'Brax' Charlie smiled.

'What's he done?'

Charlie placed out her wedding finger revealing an engagement ring.

'Oh' Angelo exclaimed.

'He's perfect'

'Congratulations' Angelo said hugging Charlie.

Charlie could feel Angelo's closeness and his sadness, 'Whats wrong?' Charlie asked.

Angelo bowed his head before sitting down, 'Lilly and I broke up' Angelo confessed.

'What happened?' Charlie asked knowing Angelo wasn't dealing well.

'She cheated'

'Oh Angelo, she was never good enough for you'

'But I think loved her' he said looking up.

'No, she always cheated on her boyfriends when she was younger'

'Really?' Angelo asked.

'Yeah, she was not worth it'

'So I date two beautiful Buckton's and none want me'

'Hey, not think negatively' Charlie said holding Angelo's arm.

The station had got a call out to the Local Day Care, a small child was taken hostage. Angelo jumped out of his seat and to the car waiting her Charlie.

'Drive' Angelo screamed.

'Hey I am going as fast as I can'

'I know, it's just it's Tom's day care'

Angelo bowed his head, he was so worried for Tom.

When they reached the Day Care, everyone was outside except Tom, Angelo went into compete panic mode.

'Tom' he yelled, attempting to run inside.

'Be careful' The woman said,

'I will' Angelo nodded.

Charlie and Angelo ran inside, Nick had Tom by the chest, holding him in the air.

'Don't shoot' Angelo said pointing his gun at Nick.

'Put it down or I'll kill the kid' Nick demanded.

'Nick, put him down now' Charlie yelled.

'No'

'Nick'

'Why should I'

'Because Tom means a lot to Angelo, he is his only son. A child to a woman that never got to see him grow up' Charlie said.

Nick bowed his head, 'But if i let him go, you'll go straight back to bed with him, wont you' Nick said.

Charlie looked at Angelo, then to Nick, 'What are you talking about'

'Well you're having sex with him aren't you?'

'No NO NO' Charlie said

'You're mistaken by her twin' Angelo stepped in.

'Lilly?' Nick questioned.

'Daddy' Tom said.

'Shut up' Nick said putting the gun to his head.

Nick was shaking, he was unsteady.

'So I shot you, when you had done nothing wrong?' Nick said.

'Yeah, I was dating Lilly, and Charlie, she is engaged'

'You're getting married?'

'Yes' Charlie smiled.

'And she is happy' Angelo smirked.

'Shut up or I'll kill you all' Nick yelled.

'Don't you dare touch my son' Angelo screamed.

'Well I will have to kill one of you' Nick said.

'WHY" Charlie yelled pointing the gun at him.

'Take me' Angelo said stepping forward.

'Angelo' Charlie said softly.

'I have to, can you look after him' Angelo said pleading.

Charlie nodded, she couldn't get a clear shot of Nick.

'Right-o step forward' Nick said.

Angelo took a step forward. 'I prefer if Tom didn't see this' Angelo said.

'Fine' Nick said.

'Well hide his face' Angelo said.

Nick smirked, he looked at Tom, then to Charlie and over to Angelo. He looked up and aimed his gun at Tom and shot. Charlie had a clear shot as Nick turned to Angelo a bullet hit him in the chest. Nick fell to the ground. Angelo ran over to Tom and grabbed him.

'Com-on mate. TOM' Angelo yelled. He looked over to Nick, blood pooled from him.

Angelo looked up to Charlie. 'Thank you'.

'It's alright' Charlie said kissing his head. 'The ambulance is here'

Angelo picked Tom up and out to the daylight where everyone could see him.

Angelo dropped to the ground as Tom's blood covered his shirt.

Will Tom make it through

and does Angelo consider taking his own life?

Good chapter wonder if Tom will be ok

Brax wants Angelo for his best man I would say no if I was Angelo :lol: after the way Brax has treated him

Tom was in emergency surgery, Angelo had to get his son back, he was the only thing that mattered Charlie sat next to Angelo giving him a coffee.

'Thank You' he said looking up, the tears ran down his face.

'Tom is strong, he'll make it through' pulling him in for a hug.

'He isn't even six yet’

‘I know Angelo, I’m not stupid’

Angelo looked at her, ‘I’m sorry, I shouldn’t treat you like that’

‘No I am sorry’ She said hugging him, Angelo took the hug, bursting into tears, ‘I can’t do this’

‘Yes you can Angelo, you’re big and strong’

‘Thanks’ he laughed for the first time in hours.

Charlie missed his fun side; he always was smiling and making her smile.

‘Do you remember, the first day we meet?’ Charlie asked.

Angelo smiled, ‘Yes, it was argh fun’

‘Fun’s not the word’

‘Oh what is it?’ Angelo said, playfully hitting Charlie.

‘Hey’ She said hitting him back, Charlie didn’t even though her and Angelo had started to flirt, or even kiss.

Angelo pulled back, ‘We… We can’t’ he said.

‘Why not?’ Charlie asked.

‘Because I need to stay strong for Tom and you’ve got Brax to go home too’

Charlie nodded as she went to stand up Sid came out from the surgery room, she looked at him. Sid’s eyes read I’m sorry. She looked over to Angelo who had the same worried look on his face.

‘Do you want me to stay?’ She asked.

‘No’ Angelo said.

Charlie nodded before smiling.

Angelo stood in front of Sid, ‘Is he ok?’

‘Better than Nick’

‘Of course’ Angelo smirked. ‘He died at the scene’

‘I know we got the news, now Tom’

Angelo looked at Sid, ‘What?’

'Um I'll go' Charlie said.

Angelo nodded.

20 minutes later:

Angelo sat next to Tom playing with his hair.

Tom woke and looked at Angelo.

'Daddy'

'Hey mate'

'Now Angelo, Tom woke be able to play, run,walk, talk, eat for a few months'

'I know I'll take good care of him

'I know you will, I am a single father too'

'Angelo smiled at Sid, before playing with Tom's hand

'I love you Daddy' Tom said with struggle in his voice.

'I love you too mate' Angelo said kissing his head.

I know it's short so so so so so sorry, i had it all written up and it deleted itself
