after reading that I now want them back together

I felt sorry for both of them and it sounds like something really bad has happened to cause Angelo's drinking and it also sounded to me Nicole would of turned to drink if It was'nt for the kids

I wonder what has happened <_<

Loving this

Pembie, thank god, I though it was just me. LOL.

That may very well have been my favourite chapter so far.

She knew that he was going to be angry, she didn’t care about his reaction strangely enough, and she just wanted to make sure that he wasn’t going to hurt Angelo.

Awww.

If she had the option of getting drunk then she probably would have taken it as well but she had to be strong for the children.

Here I go again, being a broken record: Awesome line!!! So powerful. She's the one physically being strong, but not necessarily feeling it on the inside, and Angelo's the one falling apart for everyone to see. That's such an amazing contrast to put in there.

She told herself it was so that Rob and Mia didn’t have to go through the aftermath but deep down, she needed him to be okay

I love how you're writing this from so many different angles in terms of the relationships between them all. That line shows how very much this is about Nicole and Angelo's relationship, as much as, if not more, it's about the relationships with the children.

their relationship had been through a lot and she for some reason didn’t believe that it was over.

I kind of hope not. I'm still wary, and it's always a worry that something like this could happen again, but I hate the thought of them never getting through it.

He always worried about her but at times he felt like a fraud because he had not earned the right to worry about her.

OK, I love how you put that part about him feeling like a fraud. Amazing.

Angelo sighed, it felt strange being near Nicole, he could smell the perfume that she always wore, he could remember the nights where when she was asleep, and he would stay up watching her.

*Tingles*

Nicole couldn’t deny how much she wanted to kiss him, but the thought of it scared her slightly because she didn’t know he would take it or how it would make her feel.

Gah, you're killing me here. LOL.

She wrapped her arms around his waist; she was surprised at how normal it felt to her. He tentatively hugged her closer to him.

She sniffed and then moved away. ‘Sorry, just needed a hug’

Awww. I don't even think she just needed a hug, I think she needed a hug from Angelo specifically.

She nodded and meant it, maybe it was the fact that it was cold or the fact that she hated the storms, it always made her feel scared. But her pride wasn’t to going to let her reveal that. Or maybe it was the fact that even after everything, she felt safe when he was around.

That's so sweet. It's says a lot that she still feels safe with him around. I love how not at all black and white this situation is. Perfectly written.

She knew that it was a long shot but maybe this was the start of something?

Maybe, indeed. I'd like to think so, but only so long as Nicole is 100% ready to go there again.

Honestly, Zetti, I adored that chapter so, so much. Don't get me wrong, I do love all the other characters and interaction in this, but the sole Nic/Angelo moments are my favourite. I'm so excited to see where this is going to go. :)

Oh, sounds like something awful happened to make it all fall apart. They obviously still like or even love each other, don't they? Aw... :) Intrigued now.

Now I am very worried as to why Angelo was drinking ... & for Nicole to have thought it was a better option to get drunk as well, even though she didn't for the sake of the children.

It makes me wonder what on earth happened to make them feel like that.

Niceinteraction between Nicole & Angelo there.

Worried that Roman will find Angelo sleeping on the sofa ...

I know what Angelo did was wrong, really wrong & that's hard for Nicole to forgive him ...

But Angelo has given himself a hard time over it. I think he's been punished enough as it is.

I look forward to more.

Love Carina xxx

YEY! New chapter!!! <3

He got into his car, he knew that he had approached the situation at first calmly but he was still too angry at Nicole and he knew he had to have it out with her first before he could put his own mind at rest.

Aww, Roman. I feel sorry for him too. It must be so hard for him, not being able to protect her when he felt he should have. I just adore how he's all about her safety.

He was trying to remember some good times that he had actually shared with Nicole. He remembered their wedding day, with Rob in his little suit and Roo carrying him down the aisle. He couldn’t help but grin at that memory and of course, Nicole in that beautiful dress of hers flowing across her petite frame accentuating her features.

He spent so long hating himself for hurting Nicole that he realised that he couldn’t actually remember a happy moment apart from the moment that Mia was born.

He could remember bursting with happiness, the fact that their family was complete. He had not wanted anything more than that.

Nostalgic happy memories!!! I loves them! The image of Rob in his suit and Roo carrying him, and Nicole in her dress and it's all so adorable!!!

He gave up trying to sleep and watched the rain crashing again the window. He liked watching the rain, he used to do it when he was a kid, whenever he wasn’t helping at the restaurant, he would be in his room watching the world pass him by.

His life then was a stark difference to the world he lived in now.

Back then, he had no one to look after but now in the present, he had 3 people who he loved and wanted to look after. They were the most precious people in his life and whatever happened, they came first.

That whole part is just amazing. One of my favourite things in the world is watching the rain through the window. It sounds crazy, but I love it. So to read that is lovely :) I love the contrast between Angelo's life then and the complicated mess it is now.

Nicole lay on her bed, she couldn’t sleep either, and she was imagining Angelo on the sofa all alone. It felt strange that he was in the house and that he wasn’t with her.

*Tingles* again.

‘It is, maybe you should sleep in my room

‘I don’t think that’s a good idea’ he said honestly.

She cocked a look at him ‘On the floor’

Aww, that sort of made me laugh, with the image of Nicole cocking her head. LOL. They're so awkward, yet it's adorable and intuiging all in one.

She looked at him and smiled before lifting the covers and said ‘Get in’

‘That is not a good idea’ he said again

No, this may not be a good idea, but Nicole made that decision, and I doubt she'd offer that is she wasn't certain. It's wondering where to draw the line between sleeping together and sleeping together, and I love how you've addressed that.

They both lay there with their arms clasped down quite firmly on their sides; they weren’t sure what to do.

Awkward!

Nicole felt really uncomfortable but she could feel Angelo’s warmth and she remembered the hug that they shared before, it had felt so natural to her.

so she decided to the one thing that was natural to her and she placed her head on his chest and closed her eyes.

‘Sleep’ Nicole said a few moments later and she felt Angelo relax slightly, she knew he had a smile on his face, she always knew when he was smiling.

I know I should be wary, and I am, and it's kind of worrying, but...... AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. <3 That is all.

The drive back finally ended and Roman parked the car. He saw Angelo’s car outside and instantly felt fear and angry muster up in his mind. He was more scared but his anger seemed to take over that fear as he strode towards the house, he was tempted to break one of the car window but he didn’t know what was going on in the house and he didn’t want to put Nicole or the children in danger.

He clenched his fists and made his way into the house, he had no idea what to expect but he was willing to protect his family, even if that meant using his fists and not his common sense which seemed to be the norm for him and most men who wanted to protect the people they cared about.

Oh no. Something tells me this isn't going to end well. I don't like the possibility of Roman using his fists. I know he's looking out for Nicole and that's adorable, but he should trust her to know what she's doing. What he could see when he walks in there may just result in carnage.

Now I'm VERY excited for the next chapter. Another amazing update, Zetti!! :D
