Hey so I was asked to write this chapter.

So hope you all enjoy.

Chapter 12

The Diner was normally the place to come to unwind but that relaxing atmosphere was now being thrown into question, as people sat down eating their meals they could hear the sounds of Irene’s wails of pain filling the place and exchanged worried expressions, shooting concerned looks over to the kitchen area. None of them were aware of the series of bombs that were being sent around the Bay and it was doubtful they would calmly be eating the delicious food Irene or Leah had prepared if they had known how close the threat had been that morning.

Charlie grabbed a abandoned dishcloth from the side of a worktop and rinsed it out under the running cold tap, when she was convinced it was free of other chemicals she used it to dap carefully at Irene’s eyes in the hope to ease some of her pain and minimise the damage by wiping some of the chemicals that flew from Colleen’s neck bomb collar out of the woman's eyes.

Irene’s wails seemed to intensify even with Charlie’s efforts to help her and she registered the concerned looks from Leah realising that they were only making Irene’s situation worse.

“OOOOOOOH SERGEANT BUCKTON MAYBE YOU SHOULD STOP THAT DABBING WITH THE DISHCLOTH IT DOESN’T SEEM TO BE HELPING!” Colleen shrieked jumping from one foot to the other as she danced round them in a panic.

Charlie felt a jolt of annoyance at this, if Colleen hadn't dithered about earlier this situation needn't have happened. This was certainly not what she needed right now to have a shrieking old woman dithering about and the rogue thought about staying home to get her morning coffee fix from now on just in case this every happened again.

“OH WHAT A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE SERGEANT BUCKTON, OH IRENE I’M VERY, VERY SORRY I WISH I COULD JUST GO BACK TO BED AND WAKE UP AND ALL THIS COULD BE A DREAM.” Colleen shrieked stepping back onto Charlie’s finger.

“OW COLLEEN please can you stop I’m trying to think of what to do here,” Charlie said sucking at her sore finger that Colleen had just trod on.

“I think we need to get her to the hospital Charlie.” Leah said looking at a pain stricken Irene.

"I know, " Charlie said slowly, looking round the three women.

Who was shaking her head as a way to protest against the idea of going to hospital.

“Right Leah just give me hand getting Irene to her feet will you? Colleen you and your dithering go stand over there” Charlie said pointing to the far side of the kitchen.

With a look of hurt and anger Colleen slowly made her way over to the other side of the kitchen and just like the way a naughty child would who had just been told to go and face the wall in school for punishment she dragged her feet slowly.

"Sergeant Buckton to base, come in," Charlie murmured into her radio followed by a crackle of static.

"Base here," an anonymous voice murmured.

"I have one person wounded by chemical spray, and a disarmed device at the diner, out."

"Say again,"

Charlie breathed out slowly and explained about Colleen being the target of another bomb attack and the chemicals leaking during the disarming.

"Have despatched a unit to meet with you are the diner, Sergeant," the disembodied voice muttered through the small black plastic radio, "ETA on the ambulance to your location 35 minutes."

Charlie looked over at Leah and then the distraught Irene.

"You heard that?" she asked even though she knew the answer. "I can't leave the scene until and the others turn up."

"I'll take her," Leah decided looking at her colleague and friend. She hated seeing her in pain and this was the worst.

Charlie nodded at her decision and between the two of them, a blinded Irene was guided through the suddenly dead silent Diner. If Colleen had thought she had earned a lot of odd looks as she made her way into the Diner with her neck strapped bomb collar on that morning. It was nothing compared to the looks Charlie and Leah were getting now as they made their way out of the diner with a whimpering Irene leaning on them for support.

After waiting a few seconds to catch their breath, Charlie and Leah helped Irene into the car’s passenger’s seat, Which didn’t turn out to be the easiest of tasks with Irene banging her head on the door frame a few times.

“Take it easy Irene,” Leah said feeling worried that her friend might end up in hospital with mild concision as well as having some deadly chemicals burning her eyes. Allowing herself to get lost in the beautiful scenery of the beach for a moment. Leah could see the clear blue water of the sea caress itself gently over the sand. With a scene like this it was hard to believe the horror that was yet to come. Steeling herself she murmured to Charlie before getting behind the wheel and starting the car easing the small, economical car out of its customary parking space and set off.

The radio had come on automatically and Leah was sure Irene wasn't that impressed with the summery sounding tunes as they drove to the hospital but found herself humming along to the tunes as she gripped tightly to the steering wheel, feeling more tense by the second.

As Irene sat there she lifted her hands to her eyes, for a terrifying moment it looked as though she was trying to claw her eyes out, and who could of blamed Irene if that was what she was trying to achieve because the pain must have been excruciating for her.

It was either that or the music blasting through the car’s stereo which was causing her distress.

“Wasn’t that a treat everybody, that was 'One Thing' from that very talented boy band One Direction. Stay tuned I have some very exciting news to tell you about them soon.”

Irene let out a loud scream which made an already very tensed up Leah to jump causing her hand to shoot out to switch the radio off before looking over to Irene she had either screamed because of the pain she was in or because of the exciting One Direction news that the radio DJ had been talking about but Leah doubted it was the latter

“Oh Leah, darl, my eyes are killing me.”

“Irene it’s going to be fine we are nearly there” Leah said reaching out to give Irene’s shoulder a comforting stroke.

***

Feeling like his good deed was done Elijah sat next to Miles. Who was feeling much happier about things after the small camping trip away with his good friend.

Not only did he after talking to Elijah feel better about the whole exploding hair gel experience. But he also felt clearer about his feelings for Leah, oh what a good friend Elijah is to me Miles thought to himself as he drove back to Summer Bay singing along with the radio.

“Miles I just wondered if we could possibly have……….”.

Miles shook his head as he watched Elijah’s finger try to sneak over to the radio dial.

“Don’t you dare Elijah.”

“But Miles please.”

“Elijah as much as you're one of my best friends I’m still not going to let you. I just can bring myself to listen to gospel radio, I’m sorry.”

“Hey there folks your listening to Fresh Wave the one stop station for all the music that makes life worth living. Now then remember that One Direction news I spoke about earlier you do? Of course you do well are you ready people to hear this juicy abit of exciting news?”

“Oh yes Miles you are aren’t you? Just don’t go screaming like some hyper girl will you? You might go and crash the car” Elijah laughed as he grinned at Miles.

“Oh please One Direction are so lame, don’t worry Elijah I won’t be doing any girly screaming” Miles said rolling his eyes.

“One Direction are on their way to the town of Summer Bay and while they are there they will be playing at Angelo’s pizza restaurant.”

“Oh my that will put people off their pizza” Miles laughed.

“With a bit of luck they might get blown up with these bomb threats round the bay at the moment,” Elijah said causing Miles to go into a fit of giggles.

“Stop it Elijah its not a laughing matter.”

“I know think of people’s poor ears.”

“I was talking about the bomb threats then actually," Miles said still laughing.

***

The stress and worry for Irene who was sat clutching at her face and still screaming from the pain from her eyes had started to take its toll on Leah. To make matters worse Leah’s mind had began to take a trip down memory’s lane and as she glanced over at moaning Irene as she took her hands away from her eyes which were gazed over with a icy sightless stare.

The blinded look shook Leah to her core because now it was not Irene that Leah was looking at it was Roman and in that moment that night of Roman’s accident where he had been blinded came flooding back to her.

Flashback

Roman, “You’re not having second thoughts about the dinner are you?

Leah,“No, no of course not”

“What’s wrong then? You’ve hardly said anything since we left the Diner”

Leah,“I’m just starting to think even though I’m ready to move on with my life that doesn’t mean VJ is. Maybe its too soon for him after Dan.”

Roman, “Yeah but you can’t just put your life on hold, you have too do what is right for you too.”

Leah, “I Should be doing what is right for VJ.”

Roman, “So what does that mean we going to call things off already?”

There is a sudden crack in the windscreen Roman has gone quiet as Brendan’s pellet knocks him unconscious.

The memory of that traumatic night jolts Leah back to the present. Irene is still screaming but it sounded like it was from terror as Leah could feel herself slamming the brakes down.

***

Elijah and Miles watch in awe as a big tour bus with One Direction painted on its back pulls out ahead of them.

“They might be a crappy boy band Elijah but would you take a look at those wheels.”

Elijah doesn’t get chance to answer as an out of control car hurls its way across the pathway of One Directions’ tour bus. The driver of the bus reacting slowly to the crash. Miles watches as the driver yanks at the big steering wheel too late. In an effort to stop the slide he overcompensates and the coach veers up, smashing into the railing at the side of the road. The railing holds for a fraction of a second before a loud snapping sound rents the air at the same time the front wheel tips over the side. The bus seems to hover for a second before tipping forward and with a howl of scared screams emanating from inside the bus topples over the side of the cliff.

Meanwhile the car that had started the fatal collision comes to a uncontrollable stop hanging over the steep drop down where the tour bus had just been engulfed into a big yellow fireball.

Miles and Elijah quickly jumped out of their car and ran towards the car which was hanging from the cliff.

“Miles I think that was One Direction who just plunged to their deaths” Elijah stammered looking down at the destroyed bus below.

“Elijah forget them” Miles said

The tone of his voice caused Elijah to walk over to the car which was barely balanced over the cliff. Peering in the windows they could see a unconscious Leah and Irene.

“What do we do now?” Miles asked looking to Elijah for some guidance.

“I don’t know, you can’t expect me to have all the answers Miles.”

Chapter Thirteen

For a few miniscule moments, the world just froze. It seemed like nothing existed apart from the car that was hanging off the end of the cliff. Time just seemed to be in slow motion and the world seemed to have ended. Nothing existed apart from a frozen state of mind.

Fear kick started Miles’s brain as he shook Elijah out of his shocked state of mind.

‘Snap out of it Elijah!’ Miles barked at him

Elijah looked dazed as he took in his surroundings, just a moment ago he was looking at the out of control car destroy the One Direction tour bus.

He could barely take in the situation, much else help Leah and Irene who were stuck in the car. He needed to get control of his emotions and he needed to do it fast.

‘Sorry.’ He said quickly as he surveyed his surroundings and tried to make up a plan of action.

‘We need to help them but from what I can see, the minute someone gets out, the car will go over’

‘So we wait for help?’

Miles looked at him with a disbelieving look ‘Are you serious?’

‘Yes’

‘We can’t choose between them, they are both human beings, it is not right, what would God say about that’

‘Right well the car is hanging off the edge’ Miles pointed out initiating a duh look from Elijah who looked half confused, and half scared.

‘Stating the obvious there Miles’

‘Look at it, the car is not secure, the back wheels are losing its grip’ he whispered not sure what he was supposed to do or say.

Miles and Elijah looked at each other trying to work out what their next move was going to be which was near impossible with Leah and Irene both hysterical and unable to process the events that had just occurred to them.

Irene was shaking and muttering unintelligibly under her breath trying to work out what was going on, as she had lost her sight, she needed to rely on the other senses.

She moved her hands around and felt the car shake and edge forward just a little eliciting a scream from Leah.

‘Leah!’ Irene shouted trying to make herself heard but there was no response.

‘LEAH!’ but again there was no response apart from her shaking and crying which just made the car even unsteady and edging more and more forward.

‘LEAH!!!!!’

Leah was shaken out of her hysterical moment and looked at Irene. She couldn’t make sense of what was going on, one moment she was fine and the next she was completely hysterical and out of it. It was bizarre.

‘Irene?’

‘Are you okay?’ Irene moved her head into the direction where Leah’s voice had emerged from, despite the fact that she couldn’t see what was going on and in a way had more right to be panicky and all over the place.

Irene realised that it was not going to help the situation if she started flapping around and being hysterical but at the same time, she didn’t blame Leah. How was anyone supposed to act in a situation like that?

‘What happened? I feel like I blacked out’

‘You went into shock, do you remember anything?’

‘Just the car and being jolted around’ Leah looked around nervously. She could see the depth of the valley in front of her causing her heart rate to increase tenfold, her hands felt clammy and cold. She was trying to control her breathing but she was failing.

‘Breathe in through your nose and out your mouth’ Irene interjected as Leah went quiet and her breathing quickened.

Leah did that for about 3 minutes as her breathing calmed down and Irene then looked around trying to sense where Miles and Elijah were. She could feel the car edging forward but her senses couldn’t pinpoint where they were.

Miles suggested ‘I think you need to hold the car down in order to make it steadier’

‘Why me?’

Elijah didn’t want to have a big role. He was scared that he wouldn’t be able to do it well enough to save the lives of Leah and Irene. He couldn’t imagine losing either of them, in his mind that was not an option. The only option was to save their lives, he was not going anywhere until he had saved their lives.

‘You’re bigger’ Miles pointed out but Elijah still looked unsure and unsettled which is when Elijah added ‘and stronger’ in a bid to sway Elijah. Elijah didn’t like the idea but he couldn’t argue with his logic and reasoning so he reluctantly accepted.

‘Fine, I will do that but what about you?’

‘I will get them both to climb into the back of the car because the back of the car is more secure than the front’

‘Fine, lets do it’

Elijah gripped the boot and held it down long enough for the car to stay steady. Miles opened the back door, which was closest to Leah’s side so that he could see and speak to them both. Leah jumped but Irene was soothing her with words and she began to calm down.

‘Who are you getting out first?’ Elijah asked

‘I don’t know, Irene needs more help because she cant see but at the same time if I get Leah out, she can help me get Irene out.’

‘Hold on, make sure you know exactly what to do before you actually do it Miles’

‘I was not planning on winging it’

‘Trying to be sarcastic?’

‘Why not?’ Miles retorted

Elijah was about to make a sarcastic response but Irene intervened ‘Not the place guys!’

They looked at each other with an apologetic look on their faces ‘Sorry Irene!’

Elijah pulled the car up with all his upper strength and got the car to a position where it meant that he didn’t need to hold onto it for a few moments but then the car slipped again causing Elijah to curse and so he held onto the car yet again pulling it up slightly.

He had a better grip but the cliff edge was eroding which meant that they had very little time but he chose to keep that piece of information to himself otherwise it would just incite panic and he didn’t want that.

‘Right lets decide who’

Miles looked at the car and its inhabitants. He decided it was time to get Leah out. ‘We need to get Irene out, then it’s less work for us both’

‘Okay’

‘Right decision made, right...’

‘Irene’ Elijah said loudly in order to get his voice heard over Leah’s hysterical moment. There was no time to mess about not when lives were in imminent danger.

‘Yeah?’

‘You need to slowly get out, and I mean slowly, any sudden movements will make it harder for me to hold on’

‘Okay’ she said trying to sound confident but the shakiness in her demeanour gave her away, she was nowhere near confident enough but she had no other choice. She eased her belt off and let it move away to the side.

‘I will guide you so just breathe and listen’ Miles interrupted so that he could do his best to get Irene out and then hopefully it would be easier to get Irene out.

‘Feel the edge of the seat and slowly move, I will tell you to stop, okay?’

Irene murmured ‘Okay, shall I move now?’

‘Yes’

She slowly moved towards the gap between the seats, but her leg was in pain so she kept wincing as she moved.

‘Okay, you are in the gap, stop and breathe’

She moved and managed to get herself in the gap but the car lost its footing for a moment before Elijah pulled it back up. However it was testing his strength and exertion.

He was so focused on trying to get the car back on an even footing that he didn’t even realise that his cross around his neck was beginning to release a smoky gas.

Miles was too busy easing Irene out but she was scared to make any movements in case it made the car move even more so it was taking the combined effort of Leah and Miles to get her to make any sort of movement due to the fact that her eyesight had left her at somewhat of a disadvantage.

‘Miles, I cannot hold on for much longer’ he hissed

‘Okay okay!’

‘Irene, you are going to have to move, I cannot do this without you’

She nodded and Miles slowly told her to make the movements. She manoeuvred herself into the back seat. She looked at Miles but Elijah lost control and the car skidded towards the cliff edge.

‘Elijah!’ Miles said as he was forced to jump away from the car.

‘Doing my best here!’

‘Its not that, your cross!’

Elijah looked down slightly and saw the greeny red smoke coming out. He had no idea what it was but he noticed that he was losing the ability to grip onto the car; he was losing the power to feel anything. His hands felt clammy and he could feel the car slowly slipping out of his grasp and there was nothing he could do.

‘Elijah?!’

‘I c..ca…ca….ca…can’t m..mo…mov…mov…move’

‘Okay, just relax’

At that point Elijah was immobile holding onto a car with a limited amount of grip and he seemed to be frozen which might have been in theory a good thing but time hadn’t frozen and the cliff edge was still eroding hence pulling the car into the abyss below.

Leah had no choice but to force her way to the edge of the car seat and get herself in the backseat.

‘You have to’ Irene urged her ‘It’s your only option’

Leah slowly moved backwards but her shoe fell off which caused the car to jerk forward and momentarily scared them both but once they had regained their composure, Leah carried on ending up in the back seat. She clung onto Leah’s arm as the door was slowly swinging open.

‘We only have one shot’

‘You will have to help me’

‘I know, ready?’

‘As I ever will be darl’

They edged out of the edge of the car seat, holding onto each other’s hand.

Irene got to the edge and the car moved forwards even more, Miles was forced to move back and Leah knew what was going to happen.

‘You have to jump out as far as you can’

‘You’re coming with me’ Irene reiterated yet again but she could feel Leah shaking her head.

‘No arguments Irene, the car cannot stand us both moving so you have to jump!’

‘No!’

‘Please?’ Leah begged trying to get through to Irene ‘I need you to tell VJ I love him’

‘You can do that yourself’

Leah decided arguing would be a waste of time and energy,

She pushed Irene towards the car door and before Irene had registered what was going on. Miles rushed forwards to grab Irene and pull her away.

Elijah who was still immobile lost control of the car as it skidded towards the edge and after a few moments that felt like it had lasted forever; the car went over taking Leah and Elijah with it. Miles watched as the car skidded off the edge and winced when he heard the dull thud of the car hitting the bottom of the valley.

‘Okay?’ he asked Irene who was shaking out of shocked. She smiled weakly as well trying to calm down after the attack; she couldn’t believe that she had nearly lost her life.

‘I think so, did that just happen?’ she asked as a tear fell down her face. She could hardly believe that Leah and Elijah were dead and gone. That she would not see them not that she could anyways, but even talk to them or know that they were around should she want to talk to them. She could feel her temper rising and she was convinced that something sinister was going on; she believed it was her duty and the duty of Summer Bay to find out. No one attacked Summer Bay and got away with it, it just did not happen. Whoever was attacking needed to be shocked into remembering that the citizens of Summer Bay were not going to disintegrate at the eventuality of some attacks, they had more backbone and pride than that. She for one was not going to let this happen, she was going to take action.

Chapter Fourteen

Throughout the morning the atmosphere of the Diner had been dramatic to say the very least. It didn’t seem to be getting better as the darkness of the night drew closer. In fact it was fair to say, it had moved onto a whole new level of chaos, with Colleen dashing to and fro, hearing people’s complaints of slow service and under cooked food and after all wasn't she trying her best. What did people expect with a lunatic on the loose. The sooner she heard news of Irene the better, all the drama was making her feel like her head was close to exploding (and that wasn’t the first time she had had that fear today given all that business with her dodgy collar). As she bustled busily around the diner trying to do fifty things at once was engulfed by the sounds of the grumpy and angry customers but in the corner, unnoticed was a young teenage boy.

Casey felt anger as well but it was nothing to do with the food or the long wait to get served, oh no, it was because his brothers were morons. Simply put, his brothers had no idea what to do or how to behave. It was like trouble just followed them around. Why did it happen? Simply because they let it happen. Casey sighs as he thumps the table, the pounding of his clenched fist made some nearby seated customers jump and shoot him cautious looks. He sighs again before taking a long drink of his milkshake as he tried to get a grip on his growing anger. He just couldn’t get the thoughts of the afternoon out of his head. As he carried on drinking his milkshake, the events of the afternoon replayed on a loop inside his head andslowly drove him insane.

Charlie sat on the golden sand of the beach sipping at her coffee as she looked over her paperwork of the bomb threat case. It was proving to be one of the hardest cases she had ever worked on. Today hadn't been just another hectic day, it had been scary with Colleen falling victim to the bomb scare and then Irene beening injured. She'd expected Leah to contact her and let her know how the other woman was and was a little surprised she hadn't heard anything.

She took a moment to look and admire the view as she forced herself to relax for the last few minutes of her break. A rested mind was better for firguring stuff out her dad used to tell her when she was going through her police training. And a minute or two enjoying the view in the remaining moments of her break wouldn't hurt. Charlie had often thought how beautiful the view was, but today it was even more breathtaking than normal. It just made her feel all giddy; it was so well, sexy, she thought as she looked at the three tanned fit surfers stepping out of the waves and on to the sand. Especially one of them.

“Enjoying the view Sergeant?” Brax asked as he, Heath and Casey drew closer to her carrying their surfboards whilst water dripped down their bodies fresh from their surf.

“Eh oh no, I mean yes, I mean it’s a nice view,” Charlie managed as she blushed.

“Oh yes I guess it is,” Brax says smiling as he notes the slight reddish of Charlie’s cheeks.

Charlie forces herself not to spring up and stride over to her car as embarrasment slopes over her and can do nothing but watch as the Braxton brothers carry on walking across the hot sand. After a time they stop and she can still see them but no longer hear them. She feels her cheeks flame as she imagines them talking about her. Dammit, she groans.

“So boys how is it going?” Brax asks his gaze flicking to Charlie once more before he focuses on his brothers..

“Brax are we really going to discuss this with that cop sat down over there?” Heath asks, pointing over to Charlie.

“Heath don’t point will ya, we don’t want to make it obvious.”

Heath quickly puts his hand down giving Brax a glare.

"So where’s Brodie?" Brax asks, this was met by a few murmurs from a couple of the Riverboys who had gathered also.

“Oh great well he better not have gotten a guilty conscience and decided to confess what he has done to the cops,” Heath moans.

“Don’t worry Brodie wouldn’t drop us in it,” Brax says hoping this would reassure Heath.

“What has he done?” Casey asked feeling confused by all this.

“Oh Casey what does it feel like to be on the outside of it all? Just because Brax doesn’t want you to be mixed up in our little plan,” Brodie asks causing everyone to turn and look at him.

“What does that mean what’s going on Brax? I…. “Casey stops as Charlie walks passed them.

“Oh well back to crime solving for me now I’m afraid, so stay out of trouble or I will be there to catch you” Charlie says as she gives Brax a quick wink.

“Oh I wouldn’t mind her catching and handcuffing me” Brodie said smirking as soon as Charlie was out of earshot.

“Shut up Brodie eh now then did everything go to plan? You haven’t told anyone have you?”

Brodie was slightly insulted by the very question, there was no way on earth he would let something like this slip. It was after all murder they were talking about here.

“Well Brodie does anyone know?”

“Let’s see Brax am I here talking to you or down the cop shop right now? I mean come on give me some credit, I’m not about to shout about the fact that I was the one who made the bomb which killed Roo Stewart in her car. I’m certainly not as stupid as Heath, who would probably run round proudly telling everyone.”

“Hey don’t call me stupid!” Heath shouts launching himself at Brodie.

“Oh come on then you want a piece of me?” Brodie shouts back causing Heath to get more and more angry.

Brodie ducks out of the way of an incoming punch from Heath.

“Oh look you missed me Heath, better luck next time,” Brodie teases.

“Ok, stop this fighting you couple of girls, we haven’t the time for this,” Brax growls with growing impatience.

“Shut up Brax I don’t appreciate being call a girl either,” Heath says as he glares at Brodie, who had degressed to laughing out loud like a schoolboy.

“STOP LAUGHING AT ME!” Heath shouts as he tries to take another swinging punch, which was meant for Brodie but instead Brax took its full force having stepped in between the two fighting men.

“BRAX BACK OFF STAY OUT OF THIS!”

“Heath I’m not letting you or your temper ruin this for us ok? So what Brodie called you stupid, jeez, grow up.”

Heath answered this with a quick shove knocking Brax down to the sandy ground below.

“Heath you total moron,” Brax says under his breath as he calmly got back to his feet.

“See bro, you shouldn’t get involved in my fights,” Heath says back while smirking. That smirk was all Brax needed to surprise Heath with a right hook to his face.

“OW YOU……..”

“Heath stop being such a hot headed idiot” Brax retorts giving the guys a look that says back off.

After wiping the blood away from his now cut lip Heath once again goes for Brax.

“OH COME ON YOU TWO” Casey yells suddenly causing Brax and Heath to look up in surprised shock.

“Stay out of this Case.”

“NO BRAX I WON’T ITS GOOD TO SEE THAT NOTHING CHANGES FOR US ISNT IT? ITS GOOD TO KNOW THAT YOUR BOTH JUST A COUPLE OF TOOLS.”

“Now Case I think that’s going too far” he said trying to be reasonable.

“OH I DON’T THINK IT IS BRAX, NOT ONLY ARE YOU AND HEATH HAVING A FIGHTING MATCH BUT I FIND OUT YOU GOT BRODIE TO BOOBY TRAP ROO’S CAR WITH A BOMB! WHY BRAX WHY?”

“Case I can explain I…”

“No save it” Casey says as he began to move quickly down the beach away from his idiot brothers.

Casey is brought back to the sounds of the noisy diner by the sound of clicking fingers.

“Hello are you receiving me?”

Casey quickly blinks his dazed state away to see the rather beautiful and captivating sight of the girl with who he had accidently collided with a few days before.

“What?”

“Oh dear you were faraway there weren’t you?” Ruby laughs.

“Yeah sorry” Casey mutters feeling suddenly quite embarrassed.

“Is this seat taken?” Ruby then asked which caught Casey off guard.

“You want to sit here? I’m not in the best of moods”

“I will take the risk” Ruby says with a smile that totally blows Casey away.

“So what’s up?” Ruby then asks getting right down to it.

“Oh you know just family stuff, my brothers are being a couple tools as always.”

“Oh well I’m here now so don’t think about them, I’m Ruby by the way” Ruby says holding her hand out. Casey couldn’t quite believe how forward and direct this girl was being. But he couldn’t deny that he liked it. He couldn’t deny how attracted he was towards her. He could have laughed right then at how such a bad day had ended up with him chatting to such a beautiful girl.

“I’m Casey”

“Well Casey are you going get me a milkshake or….”

Casey gestured to the line of outraged costumers who were at that moment harassing a poor Colleen.

“Good point maybe… we can go somewhere else?” Ruby says fluttering her eyelashes. Casey Braxton’s heart starts to pound with excitement as Ruby Buckton grabs his arm and they start to make their way out of the crowded diner.

While Casey’s luck was looking up with his night with Ruby was about to take a very passionate turn, Charlie Bucktons luck was unknown to her was about to take a sinister turn. Heath had earlier in the day accidently stumbled upon a piece of Charlie’s mislaid paperwork, which she had left behind. It outlined the potential suspects behind the recent bomb threats to Summer Bay. This little mistake of Charlie’s was about to spiral; making her the River Boy’s next target.
