I had to catch up on two chapters, but it was totally worth the wait. Interesting plot twist involving Belle not actually being dead after all, and Aden having to get his head around it. Very well done. I didn't know what to expect.

But obviously, Dex is my favourite.

“So what is going to happen?” April asked.

“I don’t’ know.” Dex admitted. “The end of the world. Doom. Gloom. Justin Bieber turning out gay, Glee being turned into a movie, Brad and Angelina splitting up, cats liking dogs. The usual apocalyptic stuff.”

“What?” Xavier muttered touching his fringe awkwardly.

“Yeah, that’s right the Beibs is gay.” Dex told him reaching out and placing his free hand on Xavier’s shoulder. “You have a gay mans haircut.”

I legit snorted at this. Like, I had to put my hand over my mouth to stop the noise because it was that funny. Brilliant.

“So if you are helping me does this mean you are part of my gang?” Dex asked slowly.

“Gang?” Xavier asked slowly steering them to an empty table at the back. “I think we can be cooler than be a gang. How about a….”

“Don’t say collective.” April warned flashing a smile at Dex. “Or we’ll have to put up with Star Trek references.”

Oh man, Dex has a posse. Or would he call them his minions? Well, April wouldn't be, but Xavier definitely. I adore the little Dex/April snippets we got throughout this chapter, as well as the Dex/April/Xavier dynamic. So great. Looking forward to more.

Oh, its all building up the tension, whatever next :) Dex is written so true to how he really is, he is taking over in all these fics atm. I must look at Xavier's haircut more closely in future...

On behalf of the three of us, thanks for the fantastic comments

Chapter Four

A new day dawned and Summer Bay had some new arrivals. They had spent their whole life moving around from place to place, wherever they needed to be, that is where they were.

The oldest of the three brothers was Daryl Braxton but he preferred to be called Brax, he never answered the question as to why he preferred to be called that but then people never asked him, or crossed him.

Being the elder of the Braxton brothers, he had a quiet sense of authority about him. He had well defined biceps and tattoos. It was thought that there were secrets behind them but if there were, he never divulged them, he liked the air of mystery that surrounded them wherever they ended up.

Heath was the second brother, known mostly for his womanising ways, however he had never loved more than one woman at a time, and he knew if people knew this truth, they would be shocked. He didn't do two timing, his own mother had been ****ted on too many times and he had no intention of ever letting himself be the person that his father was, he would never do that.

Casey however was hard to figure out, he wasn’t like either of his brothers, for one thing he was the quietest of the three. He attracted the ladies with his quiet confidence and good looks but the ones who were interested in him didn't appeal. He supposed that just maybe one day his lack of interest in them might concern his elder brothers but for now they were too interested in making money. That and their next shipments of whatever was going to make some money for them.

‘Come on, it shouldn’t be this hard to find the house’ Casey whined as Heath followed Brax in his shiny Ferrari.

‘Blame Brax, according to him he doesn’t need a sat nav’ Heath muttered in annoyance as Brax pulled up on the side of the road. They watched as Brax got out of the car and soon after both Heath and Casey followed.

‘So where is it?’ Heath asked.

‘Not far, about ten minutes away’ Brax commented.

‘So why did we stop?’ Casey asked as he leant against the edge of the truck.

‘Nature calls’’ Brax muttered.

Casey and Heath simultaneously looked at each other with a grin and then looked at Brax.

‘Go then’ Casey said as Heath chuckled before making his way back to his car.

**

Heath whistled at the ladies on the beach, liking the way they looked in their bikinis, as he walked out with his surfboard. He had only been in the Bay for a short period of time & all he saw wherever he looked was gorgeous women. Was it any wonder he liked it around here? he asked himself.

‘Perving?’ Casey asked as Heath grabbed his towel.

Heath smirked at Casey, who shook his head but couldn’t help but grin at his brother, Heath might look like a bad boy & to be fair at times he did live up to the image that people assumed he had. At the same time whilst he didn’t like the image he accepted it as part of the mystique about the three brothers.

‘As long as that is all it is’ Brax said his voice suddenly coming out of nowhere.

Heath jumped. ‘Jeez, don’t sneak up on people’

Brax ignored him ‘We don’t need a repeat of what happened in New Orleans’

‘I know you don’t need to keep saying it’ Heath groaned as he picked up his surf board and ran out towards the water.

Casey glared at Brax as Heath ran out.

‘Seriously’ clocking him with a look that said, that was uncalled for.

‘What?’ Brax muttered as he sat next to him.

‘You know what’ Casey shook his head in disbelief, it might not have looked like it but Heath had a tendency to fall hard and fast for women especially the one that had been in New Orleans.

‘What?’ Brax repeated.

‘She was a big part of his life, it tore him apart, you really want me to explain it to you?’ Casey asked.

Brax shook his head and rifled his hand through Casey’s hair smiling at him. Brax knew that Scarlett had played a big role in Heath's life, and that if she hadn’t had died then Heath would never have agreed to move to the Bay.

Deep down Heath knew that he was still grieving and on the outside he put on a front he also knew that both of his brothers had some remaining issues because of it. On top of that they had lost a hell of a lot of money which Heath had invested, playing it's own part in what they were planning to do now. Heath claimed that the loss of money was the main thing that wound him up too aware that Brax didn’t believe him.

‘Do you think he will?’ Casey asked Brax

‘Will what?’

‘Do more than look?’ he asked tentatively as he contemplated his words in his own mind.

‘He better not do but I have a weird feeling that he might’ came Brax’s response.

‘He will just end up falling hard again’ Casey murmured as he stood up and brushed the sand off his shorts. ‘I am gonna go and get myself a drink’ he picked up his phone and placed it into his pocket.

‘Keep yourself out of trouble’ Brax warned Casey but he couldn’t really talk, he was one with a penchant for attracting trouble. He couldn’t help but think back to when he met Charlie not that long ago.

‘So you are the new residents of Summer Bay then?’ he heard a voice speak from behind him.

Brax spun around and found himself face to face with a tanned female who had a pursed smile on her face.

‘Who is asking?’

‘Sergeant Charlie Buckton’

Brax raised his eyebrows, he knew that she was a cop but he was wary of why she was talking to him especially in public.

’Are you sure it is wise for you to be cavorting with me in public?’

‘And why not? I am just a resident saying hello’

Brax knew that it was a stupid idea to get friendly with her, she was the police! All the voices in his head was telling him to back off and leave her alone but somewhere along the line, he decided that he wanted to get to know her. He justified it to himself as being ‘neighbourly’

‘You must have heard about my notorious reputation’ Brax smirked

She threw her head back slightly and laughed leaving Brax confused. He didn’t even try and mask his confusion which was replaced with a bemused look as Charlie looked at him.

‘Notorious. Indeed, no I am just here to say hello and welcome to the bay’

Brax wasn’t convinced but she was hot, and like all males, that one fact was monopolizing all of his rational thoughts.

He smiled ‘Well I must get on, got things to do’

‘Be careful’ she remarked as she walked away.

‘Why?’ he retorted

‘You know why’

Brax frowned but shook it off, he had no idea what she knew or if she was a threat, there and then he decided to stay out of her way. Whether or not she was a threat, he had bigger things to worry about.

**

Casey knew they were talking about him as soon as he entered the diner. He smiled as he sat in the corner with whispers echoing around the room

‘… heard that he managed to snap a dog’s neck’

‘… his brother is a pervert and he got caught with a rich mans’ wife and so they relocated to Summer Bay’ Casey couldn’t help but smile at that comment, if only they actually knew the truth, then they really would be shocked.

‘… Brax is such a bad boy, you just have to look at him to know that’

‘Can I help you?’ Colleen asked.

‘Can I get a chocolate milkshake?’

Colleen eyed him up. ‘We do expect payment you know’

Casey looked at her stung and reached into his pocket.

‘Here’ He handed the money over to a shameful and annoyed Colleen.

She muttered quietly but Casey ignored her, he was past caring what other people thought. His brothers had a reputation that followed them; it was like that in New Orleans, Paris and now Summer Bay.

Colleen wandered over a few moments later & placed the milkshake on the table without meeting Casey’s eyes, not that he was even slightly bothered. He always got a shaky and mixed reception from the people in the town where they moved to.

It had been a couple of weeks since they had rocked up in the Bay and he was feeling (not that he would admit it) but he felt lonely. For him it wasn’t enough to be confident, he just wanted a friend but with his reputation he knew that probably wasn’t going to happy anytime soon.

He downed the milkshake quite quickly and got up from the table, making his way to the open door he walked through it. Only a few moments later, he felt himself collide with someone.

‘…sorry’ he said not bothering to look up.

She looked at him ‘Its fine, accidents happen’

Looking up he found his gaze meeting that of Ruby's not that he knew her name. He smiled and to his surprise she smiled back at him as he sauntered off. Ruby didn’t even know who he was but he was hot, she couldn’t help but smile as she walked into the diner. Suddenly the day seemed a lot brighter.

Casey couldn’t get her out of his head; he scanned the beach and saw Heath surfing and Brax just sitting there.

He was sure that his time in Summer Bay was probably going to be short but he was looking forward to whatever time he spent here especially if he met more girls like the one he had just met.

I absolutely LOVED this chapter!

Finding out about the history of the Braxtons was really interesting and intriguing!

I'm looking forward to finding out more about the new boys! :D

Now I have a few favourite quotes that I must highlight...

He had a quiet sense of authority about him.

This a fantastic description of Brax which stands for how Brax is in the show too! From that first episode when walked into Angelo's, you just new he was the boss.

Yes, that's a very good description of him.

He had never loved more than one woman at a time

I love this description of Heath too, and I do think it relates to how Heath is in the show too.

Naturally Zetti you would describe Heath in a positive light - a good boy at heart who had a tough childhood.

I think that's how all the Braxtons are - they suffer as a result of what happened when they were young and their mother's pathetic parenting skills! <_<

Brax in his shiny Ferrari.

Jeez he must be rich!

'Nature calls'' Brax muttered.

This image actually made me cringe so much!

Boys will be boys I suppose....:P

the mystique about the three brothers.

The mystery of these boys seems to be the key theme which runs through this chapter and the actually show!

Mystery is a great theme - it brings with it tension and mistrust which can lead a story to anywhere!

'We don't need a repeat of what happened in New Orleans'

Oooh what happened in New Orleans...?!

He couldn't help but think back to when he met Charlie not that long ago.

Hmm...I'm taking it that they've been in the Bay before..?!

Love how Charlie's on his mind!

cavorting with me in public?'

Love it!

'Be careful' she remarked as she walked away.

'Why?' he retorted

'You know why'

Hmm...Charlie definately knows some stuff about them...

Great chapter...looking forward to reading more!

Great back-story to the Braxtons. Very interesting indeed.

I’m loving where this story is going and looking forward to seeing how everything comes together.

All three writers have incredible skills in writing. The descriptions, the dialogue, everything is just perfect.

Update soon please. I'm really liking this :)
