Wow was so not expecting Charlie to react so well to Xavier and Ruby being engaged!!

Yay!! Glad that Charlie's gonna talk to Brax !! I can just see him bonding with Jacob, causing Charlie's heart to melt and forgive him !! Please ??

That was cooooooooooool, especially.............

 “I don’t think I should be rewarding you with cookies Mr” Charlie said as she stood up from the couch, holding her son in her arms. “And it’s almost time for your dinner” Charlie sighed lightly as Jacob looked up to her, his blue eyes widening as he listened to her. “Only because you know I can’t say no to that cute little face” Charlie said as she lightly rubbed his cheek, before she walked over to the cupboard and took out the cookies.

 Charlie smiled as she pulled back from the hug. “Let me see the ring” Charlie said excitedly as she reached for Ruby’s hand. “Whoa” Charlie said as she looked down at the white gold ring, set with two diamonds. “Someone’s paying you way too much” Charlie laughed as she looked at Xavier, who was helping Jacob build a tower.

 “Aww Rubes, I don’t want you to grow up” Charlie said as she felt tears in her eyes.

“I’ll still be your little girl” Ruby said “I’ll just be your engaged little girl”

“I know” Charlie said as she wiped her hand over eye. “Now come here and give me another hug” Ruby smiled lightly before she stood in the embrace with her mother.

 Charlie, Ruby and Xavier were sitting at the table, drinking the champagne and talking about the engagement. “So, he took me to Café Rouge” Ruby beamed “Café Rouge Mum, can you believe it”

“Ooh lucky you” Charlie smiled “I’ve always wanted to go there”

 “Fiancé, actually” Ruby said as she walked over to the door. “And I’m pretty sure my Mum wants you to leave”

 “Shy little thing is he?” Brax asked as he looked up to Charlie.

“No, not really” Charlie said as she felt her hand go protectively over Jacob’s head. Brax stood back up at looked into Charlie’s eyes. “You’re not going to leave until I talk to you, are you?”

“No” Brax shook head lightly.

“You’ve got 5 minutes”

Surprised but glad that Charlie reacted well to Ruby and Xavier getting engaged and she's okay with Xavier moving in.Love that she can't say no to Jacob, so long as he stops the biting...

Aww loved how well Charlie reacted to Xav and Ruby getting engaged. Surprised she offered them the place to stay.

Best part of the whole chapter was that she finally gave Brax the time of day (even if it is only five minutes lol)

Another great update you never fail to write well I hope Charlie gives Brax a chance. I also hope Jacob warms to him, I want to see some nice interactions between them. I really loved how Charlie took Ruby getting engaged it was really nice to see Can't wait for more
