Thank you for the comments I have no idea how to write a fight; so I'm sorry if its not what you've seen on any fights that you may have seen. Also, I hope the Charlie & Ruby bits are up to scratch! You're all hoping they realise! Thanks again for the comments Chapter 23 Brax leant against the ropes in one of the corners of the ring. His chest going in and out drastically as he gasped for breath. Sweat dripped off his forehead as he was offered some water. A mixture of dry and wet blood gathered near his eye; something which caused a little pain as Brax winced when he wiped his face with a towel. He looked back to his apponant; someone who was in as bad-a state as Brax was. His hands were sore and screaming out in agony, but Brax pushed on with Angelo's threat still running through his mind. Brax took one last look around the crowded club, hoping to see some sign of the finish; but everyone was pumped for more. The thunderous claps and cheering from the crowd should have been enough to give Brax the will to carry on; but it didn't. The more he heard the cheers, the more he wanted things to stop before they got too dangerous. Frankie looked to the smaller man stood directly opposite him. Although he was a few inches taller and a few pounds heavier, Frankie felt like he'd been more of a punching bag. His fits were stiffening, his head was pounding, his stomach felt as though one more punch would rip him open. He wiped his sweaty brow with the towel he was handed, all the while keeping a firm gaze on Brax; wondering who would be the first to hit the ground and stay down. Grateful of the many fans who cheered both him and Brax on, he couldn't help but wish they would shut up and leave: been paid as much as he was been for the fight, wasn't enough to cover the pain he was in, how tired he was and just how much he hated been in the ring. Swallowing hard as he saw the man stetch his arm out to the bell, Brax looked one last time at the crowd gathered: this time seeing Casey stood next to a girl -assuming the girl was Ruby, the girl Casey kept going on about- he noticed she had her hair down over her shoulders and her big eyes through the crowd. He also noticed the button nose she had. Tunring his head to look at the other side of the crowd, he found Charlie stood beside Angelo and just away from Bianca and Liam; his eyes widened and his mouth dropped open as he saw a resemblance between Charlie and the girl stood with Casey. "Next round" the man said through the mic as he rung the bell. The crowd cheered loudly once more as Frankie and Brax circled the ring; never letting their eyes drop from the stare they had on each other. Ruby turned into Casey, hiding away from the inevitable. Charlie turned to face Angelo, but it was no good; Angelo smiled as he watched Frankie make the first punch, his left fist making contact with the right cheek of Brax's face; Casey winced as he saw his brother fall to the ground with the effects of the punch. Charlie turned sharply to find Brax on the ground, struggling to stand. Frankie bounded over to where Brax lay. He grabbed him by the upper arms and dragged him to his feet before he let him drop to the ground with a thud. The crowd relished in the excitement as Charlie shed a tear as she watched Brax stand wearily. Brax panted as he looked to Frankie; his eye nearly closed due to the swelling and the bruising that was coming up fast. Frankie's pace quickened and with one punch, Frankie flew back into the corner of the ring; the crowd once again cheered as Brax walked over to Frankie and kicked him whilst he was on his knees. Charlie franitcally watched Brax closely, hoping he would be cautious of the angry fists that were coming toward him. Frankie fumed more and more as he missed Brax with each fist; his frustration coming to a head when both he and Brax took a punch from each other, flooring them both out right. The crowd fell silent as they kept the gazes firm on the ring; waiting for the first man -the winner- to stand up. Shaking her head in denial of anything bad happening to Brax, Charlie wiped her face and happened to glance through the ring. she noticed two teenagers stood opposite her, holding each other close. The girls long flowing hair and her big eyes were the first things Charlie noticed; her eyes widened as she realised who she was stood opposite. Ruby met Charlie's eyes as she moved her head from Casey's shoulder. She saw how Charlie looked at her, the way her eyes were wide open and how she seemed shocked by who she saw. Looking more intently to the woman she had not long since spoken too, Ruby took a moment to pick out finer details; the long hair, the fact her name was Charlie, the fact that she didn't seem to be much older than Ruby herself. "Crap" Ruby said to herself, restraining herself from using a stronger form of the word, as she realised the woman she had been told about, the woman she was searching for could be the woman who stood opposite her, lookng at her with the same expression on her face that Ruby had. The crowd began to chant for the fight to continue as Frankie and Brax managed to get to their corners, both desperate for the end of the fight to be upon them. Angelo looked round the crowd and saw what the lack of a fight was doing. Fearing a loss of profit and demands of money back, Angelo barged through the crowd and stood behind Brax "Get on with it" Angelo ordered into Brax's ear "Or your brother is going to be in a bad way" Angelo threatened as he moved away from the ring and took a step closer to where Casey was stood. Brax looked and saw Angelo moved toward his unsuspecting younger brother. Fearing the worst, Brax pushed aside the pain he was in and staggered into the centre of the ring. the crowd cheered loudly as they waited for Frankie to join him in the centre. Angelo smiled to himself, happy now knowing the fight was to continue. Ruby and Charlie's gaze on each other never faltered: Charlie's bluey-green eyes and Ruby's brown eyes connected and nothing would unconnect them. Charlie swallowed nervously as she tried to make her way around the ring; Ruby saw what Charlie was doing and so she too, tried to make her way through the crowd. The crowds loud cheer broke their gaze on one another as Brax came flying out of the ring, followed by Frankie who jumped over the ropes. The crowd moved back as Brax and Frankie continued to punch each other, the crowd loving every minute of the acion happening right in front of them. Frankie pushed Brax back after Brax had punched him in the face; the crowd pushed Brax closer to Frankie, but two men had both turned on each other; punches flew from in the crowd and soon enough, all the men in the crowd were throwing punches around. Frankie and Brax tried to get themselves away from the intenseness of the crowd fight, but they were pulled into it. Angelo tried to break the fight up himself, but been too weak in strength, he was easily faught off. Brax saw this as his chance to sort Angelo out; not only for himself, but for Casey and most inportantly, Charlie. Charlie watched on in horror as Brax and Angelo began to beat each other up, with the help of the crowd. She backed away toward the ring, hoping she'd be out of the danger. She caught a glimpse of Bianca in the arms of Liam; his face cut and a bruise forming down the left side of his face. She tried to make her way through the crowd and see her friend, but she was pulled back. Angelo's hands grasped hers tightly, stopping her from walking away. Struggling in his grasp, Charlie tried to free herself from him, all the while seeing what was happening to Bianca and the girl that could be her daughter. Liam manged to find the door and get himself and Bianca out; Charlie felt relieved as she saw the blonde locks of her friend disappear from view. Ruby found a clear path toward the door. She grabbed Casey's hand and pulled him through the fighting crowd; she pushed toward the door before she took one last look over her shoulder; to her horror, she saw Charlie laying in the ring; not moving and seemingly struggling for breath. Just as she was about to walk toward the ring, something hit her on the back of the head. She fell to the ground and everything went dark.

callyha Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 Thank you for the comments! Samantha28, Sarah, Sam, Danni, mft, soph1303 & Charlie&Brax_lover Hope you like this one Chapter 24 Lights flashed infront of the Surf Club and Angelo's club. The bay was alight with the colours of red and blue as police sirens wailed as they drove along the roads to the front of the scene. Ambulances were parked out front, dealing with a few people who had managed to get themselves away from the fight before it became too heavy, but with minor injuries. Bianca sat in the back of one of the ambulances, clucthing her wrist as a paramedic cleaned the blood away from the gash on her face caused by a broken bottle. Liam stood close by, watching as Bianca winced as the paramedic placed steri-strips over the now clean wound. Bianca looked up to Liam as she moved away from the ambulance; she melted into his arms as a crowd of people gathered around, most of the crowd were form inside the club who had managed to get out without been hurt. Police made a human block as paramedics and some police entered the club. Bianca looked round to see what was going on, whilst Liam held on to her tightly. Bianca couldn't see Charlie; and she was panicing, thinking something bad had happened to her best friend. "What's going on?" Bianca looked behind where she and Liam were stood and found Leah stood with Roo, Miles and Marilyn "The...fight" Bianca began but her voice breaking as she couldn't get Charlie out of her mind Leah looked to Liam for more of what Bianca said "The fight that went on tonight went out of control, Charlie is still in there and there are a couple of teens in there too. Looked pretty bad when we got out, everyone left in there has to be bleeding from somewhere" "What? Charlie is still in there?" Leah panicked "Has no one found her yet?" "We can't get close enough to ask anyone or tell them who's still in" Liam replied "We can't just sit on our backsides whilst Charlie is in there" Roo shouted as she pointed to the club's broken window "I'm going" Roo added as she made her way across the grass and to the enterance of the club. Miles and Leah followed right behind, leaving Marilyn with Liam and Bianca, who was in Liam's arms, shaking like a leaf. "Sorry but you can't go in" A constable said as he blocked the path of the small group "Our friend is still in there, we want to help get her out" Leah said as she tried to get through "I'm sorry miss, but I can't let anyone else go in there. Its dangerous enough for the officers and paramedics who are in there already, and they are fully trained" The constable explained "I'm sorry" He said once more, looking to the dissapointed woman who stood before him. Leah nodded as she and the rest of the group backed away from the police, none of them taking their eyes off the door as they waited for a sign of Charlie leaving the building. ~*~ Casey rolled on to his back, coughing as his lungs filled with air. He stared at the ceiling, the only place he could as his body was too stiff to move straight away. He could hear the cries of people who were injured, some close by him and some far away. He heard voices from down in the Surf Club, the footsteps as the climbed the stairs. "Case" Ruby coughed as she crawled over to where Casey was lying "Oh my gosh" "Rubes" Casey replied with a strained voice "You ok?" "My head is killing me, but I'm fine" Ruby replied as she coughed once more, grasping her head as the shooting pain ran through "what about you?" "I'm okay. I just need a minute then I can get up" Casey replied as he tried to sit up "Whoa" "What's wrong?" Ruby asked as she moved closer to Casey "Headrush" Casey replied as he shook his head, ridding himself of the feeling. Sitting close by each other, Ruby and Casey remained silent. They looked at their surroundings and couldn't believe how much damage people had done in such a short space of time. The entire club smelt of alcohol, injured people were dotted around the place, tables and chairs were broken and thrown around, the windows were all broke, everywhere was trashed. Casey held his hand up to shield his eyes from the light of someones torch as they entered the club. Casey made out the badge on his top as saw he was a paramedic. "Over here mate" Casey voiced up. The paramedic followed the voice until he found Casey and Ruby sat beside each other, blood trickling down from Ruby's head and bruising on Casey's face. "Can you two stand?" Mark asked as he knelt beside the two young teens. Casey rose to his feet first, and other than a little stumble, he was fine to walk. Ruby struggled to rise to her feet as she felt dizzy when she stood. Mark caught Ruby in his arms before she fell back to the ground "walk toward the stairs, I'm right behind you" Mark said to Casey, who did as he was told "So, what's you're name?" Mark said to Ruby as he walked "Ruby" She replied "And how old are you?" "I'm thirteen" Ruby answered "I'm not in trouble for going int the club am I? Been underage and all" "No not at all" Mark laughed "I'm trying to keep you from going to sleep, and as far as I know, there wasn't an age limit put on the poster, so you're not breaking the law" Mark replied "Oh good" Ruby smiled "I got hit on the of back of my head. I don't know who did it though" Ruby told Mark as her head began to hurt again "The police will sort that out" Mark replied "Do you have anyone you want me to call for you when you get to the hospital?" Mark asked as he placed Ruby on to the bed in the back of the ambulance "No" Ruby replied "I'm sure I've just got a really bad headache" Ruby smiled "And a cut" Mark's colleague added "You have a deep cut to the back of your head, it'll need stitching at the hospital" "Ruby, are you sure you don't want us to call anyone for you?" Mark asked as Casey sat on the seat beside Mark "No thank you" Ruby replied. Mark nodded before he closed the doors and let his colleague know they could move. The ambulance with Casey and Ruby in pulled away, giving Bianca, Leah, Marilyn, Miles and Liam a clearer visual of the only way in and out of the club as they waited for any sign of Charlie been walked out. The freezing night air not bothering anyone of them as they worried about their friend. Other casulties were brought out; Frankie been the first of many, his injuries were that of what Brax had given him during the fight. He was followed by the two men who started the whole crowd fight, they were both in handcuffs and been lead to one ambulance by the arresting officer, obviously getting treated on the way down to the staion for questioning. Their injuries didn't look too bad in comparison to the injuries other people had; other's had blood coming from any hole which was on show. "She should be out by now" Bianca worried "She was no where anyone when we left, was she" Bianca asked Liam as she squeezed his hand tightly, whilst keeping her eyes on the door where more poeple were coming out "Liam" Bianca said again when she heard no reply "Liam please, she was stood nowhere near anyone when we left" Liam swallowed hard "She was near Angelo" Liam began "When he and Brax were fighting" "Oh my god" Bianca felt sick; Brax or Angelo could have easily punched Charlie or hurt her "So Charlie could be lying in there, injured, alone and no one knows" "Bianca-" "No Liam, we should have stayed, we should have made sure Charlie got out with us" Binaca cried "If anything happens to her Liam-" "Nothing will happen to her. she'll be the next woman to come out of there; she'll walk over to us and you and her will have a big hug" Liam assured Bianca as he rubbed her arm ~*~ Julie threw her gloves into the bin just outside the room she had left. She jotted down a few things on the paper before she slotted it into a file and placed it on the desk at the nurses station. Julie then walked through the doors and was greeted by Bianca, Liam, Marilyn, Roo, Leah and Miles. All wanting to know how Charlie was after she was rushed in. Julie tried to get away from the worried group, but they surrounded her. "Guys, I know you all want to know how Charlie is doing, but none of you are family" Julie said as she tried once more to get passed Charlie's worried group of friends "Julie, she has no family. We're her family" Bianca said as she pointed along the line they were stood in "Please, how is she?" Sighing as she looked at the pained faces infront of her, Julie said "She has a broken wrist, a couple of fractured ribs, and a few nasty cuts. She's on morphine to help with the pain" Julie paused "She's resting now" Julie added as she walked passed the group "Can we see her?" Bianca asked "Not all of you" Julie replied as she looked back over her shoulder "Bianca, you go. You are closest to Charlie" Roo said as she held Bianca's hand "We'll wait out here" Bianca smiled to Roo gratefully as she followed Julie to Charlie's room. Taking a deep breath before she walked in.
