totally Posted November 25, 2011 Report Posted November 25, 2011 That was an amazing chapter! I loved Charlie and Brax' conversation, I really hope they get to be happy now. Heath and Casey know they were lucky not to have lost Brax, that was so nice. But you stopped at such a bad time! Now I really want to read more! What a cliffhanger! I hope Brax is okay with the possibility that the baby is not biologically his, I hope he will take care of Charlie and the baby no matter who the father is. I can't wait fore more, thank you so much for this chapter!

Liked the interactions between Heath and Casey, and Bianca and Liam. Aww!! Cute Chax scene !! Hope that Brax still wants to be with her even if the baby is Angelo's!! Or the pitchforks will be coming straight back out my closet again!! More soon please

Thank you for the lovely comments, they are so nice to read, and lately, have been one of very few things to raise a smile on my face thank you all xx And soph1303... I do believe the pitchforks can be locked away now If a lot seems to happen in this chapter, I apologise. I just want to get things done so I can focus a chapter or two on Charlie and Ruby. But at the same time, I don't want to rush things.....does that make sense?? anyway......hope you enjoy! Chapter 34 Charlie stared blankly at Brax. Wondering why it was so difficult for her to tell him that she was pregnant. She couldn't help but think that Brax was going to not want anything to do with her, or the baby if the baby turned out to be Angelo's. The chances of Angelo been the father were higher than Brax, as Brax and Charlie only slept together once in that week. Charlie unconciously bit her lip as she concluded who the biological father of her unborn baby was. "Charlie. What's wrong?" Brax asked, getting slightly worried about what Charlie was about to say "Charlie?" Charlie sniffed back tears as she looked to Brax after blinking, she could see the worry in his face "Give me your hand" Charlie held hers out to him "What do you feel?" Charlie asked as she put his hand on her stomach "A stomach" Brax replied "Charlie just tell me" Brax couldn't figure out what Charlie was up to "You'll feel something there in a month or two" Charlie bowed her head "I'm pregnant" Brax's mouth dropped open in surprise. Yet he never pulled his hand away from where it was placed on her stomach "A baby?" Brax said as a smiled formed on his face "A baby" Charlie replied, nodding her head "But Brax-" "It could be Angelo's" Brax already knew, as soon as he heard 'pregnant', Charlie's hesitance soon made sense "Charlie, I don't care" Brax smiled "The baby could be mine, the baby could be Angelo's. But the baby is your's, and I love it already" "Really?" Charlie smiled as a couple of tears fell from her eyes "Yea" Brax smiled back "we can be a little family" Charlie sat for a moment or two and looked at Brax. Never had she wanted the baby to be Brax's more than she did at that very moment. Things were coming together for her; allbeit in an order a bit backward. ~*~ Liam stood back from the slab in the morgue where his former friend lay, a single blanket draped over him, a tag on his toe telling people who he was. Bianca was stood just behind Liam, offering her hand in support as Liam held on to his tears. He was in shock and didn't fully believe Bianca when she told him Angelo was dead; it never seemed to ring true in his mind, not until that moment when the coroner opened the freezer slab and pulled the bruised, lifeless body out. "I will have to ask you to sign the witness of death" The coroner said as she locked the door "I couldn't find a file on Mr. Rosetta" The coroner explained once she recieved a look from Bianca and Liam "Should it be his next of kin though? Or his girlfriend" Liam asked "It should be his girlfriend as she is still with the desceased, however, she isn't present here and, the body will be going to the funeral home within the hour" The coroner explained "That quick?" Bianca asked "Yes. His cause of death is established as a result of the fight" she answered "There are no more proceedures for myself or any hospital staff to do. Mr. Rosetta's body is now going to be burried or cremated" Bianca and Liam nodded in understanding "Are you okay to sign the witness?" "Yea, sure" Liam replied, still shocked after seeing Angelo's body infront of him. Grabbing the pen from the coroner, he scribbled his name on the paper and dated it, he then handed the pen back and took Bianca's hand in his.Together they walked away from the coroner and out of the morgue. "I can't believe thats it" Bianca said as she and Liam reached the carpark "That he's dead, just like that" "I thought you couldn't stand him" Liam retored, still sore after loosing a friend of over ten years "Just because I hated the bloke, doesn't mean I wanted him dead" Binaca snapped, she hated how Liam spoke to her "I don't get you or Charlie sometimes; you bitch about him and wish he wasn't around, and now that he isn't, you can't understand anything?!" Liam walked ahead of Bianca "Angelo wasn't exactly the world greastest bloke Liam. He never loved Charlie, he only loved how she looked, he treated Charlie, you, me, Sid and nearly everyone he ever met like a door mat! You hated him, you wanted to find a way to get away from him. You never liked what he said to Charlie or what he made her do!" Bianca fumed "so don't you dare say that Charlie and I are fickle. You are just as bad, if not worse!" Bianca walked away, leaving Liam to chew the words she had spoken. ~*~ Ruby sat at her desk, phone in hand. She had sneaked her mums phone and got Charlie's number out of it. She wanted to know Charlie better; the good, the bad and the ugly aspects of her life. She spun the phone in her hand, stopping every so often and looking at the screen which had Charlie's name highlighted. She sighed every time she changed her mind about pressing the call button. She had never been so conflicted before in her life. Everything in her past seemed so simple in comaprison to what her present and what her future would be. she never imagined connecting so much with Charlie that she would want more time with her; she had always thought Charlie would want to keep things in the past and never want to see where things could go. Finally making a decision, Ruby pressed the call button. She got through to the voice mail Hi Charlie, its Ruby. I'm sorry for not having my mum call you, its just, last time I saw you, you were with your friend and you seemed to be in the middle of something. I do want to spend time with you and see what relationship we can get out of this, I think we both have come to far to not persue it any further. I hope me calling isn't an inconvenience to you, and I hope that whatever you and your friend were talking about is okay. Sorry again for ringing you without my mum. Okay, bye Ruby closed her eyes as she placed the phone down on the desk, hoping she hadn't made things more complicated. ~*~ Standing out front of the house she had lived in for so long, Charlie shook her head. The house was hers and she could live happily, but the house was still full of memories of Angelo. His clothes, his furniture, his food...everything was still in the house. Charlie put her hand in her pocket and pulled out her phone, scrolling through the phone book until she reached the name she was searching for. Hey, I can't stay here tonight. Can I come to your place? Are you sure? Thanks, I'll be there soon Charlie smiled and put her phone back in her pocket. She then went into the eerily quiet house and grabbed a few things for her sleep over. She then rushed out of the house and headed to Bianca's house, just a few minutes away. Soon she was stood outside the beach house. A smile formed on her face as she reached for the door, ready to knock so her presence was known. "Hey" Charlie smiled to the young girl stood in the doorway "Charlie" April smiled as she lunged forward and hugged the woman who, over the years, had become a surrogate older sister "Bianca said you were staying over. You can have my room if you like" The young teen walked backwards, allowing Charlie to enter the house "Do you want some hot chocolate? I've just made myself some. I have some left" April smiled "Yea, hot chocolate sounds lovely" Charlie smiled to the youngster "Hey girlie" Irene smiled as she walked out from the bathroom, a towel in her hair, telling Charlie she had just had a shower "Long time no see" Irene opened her arms out and embraced Charlie as Charlie wrapped her arms around Irene "How've you been?" Irene rubbed Charlie's back "I don't know" Charlie replied, lowering herself into the chair "everything has just happened so fast, and all at once" Charlie looked to Irene, who nodded "I know I hated Angelo, but for him to die?" Charlie shook her head "I never wanted that" "I don't think any of us did darl" Irene agreed "But I hear Brax has woken up" Irene changed the subject and saw how Charlie's face instantly lit up "I see you are glad about that" "I'm falling for him Irene" Charlie couldn't help but smile "he's shown me what its like to actually be seen, to be heard" Charlie tucked a strand of hair behind her ear "He does know you smile, I'll give him that" Irene loved seeing the bright smile on Charlie's face: it had been in hiding for so long "Thanks darl" Irene said as April handed a cup of coco to her "Thanks April" Charlie smiled as she took her cup from her "Your welcome" April replied cheerily "I've missed you Charlie. I'm always in bed when you come over" April sat beside Charlie on the floor "I know" Charlie smiled as she ran her hand through April's wavy brown hair "but you might be seeing a bit more of me" Charlie added "literally and figuratively" Chalrie muttered under her breath "Yea, Bianca and Liam's wedding" April bounced on the spot "I can't wait to go dress shopping" "Dress shopping for what?" Bianca asked as she walked out of her room, tieing a bow in the dressing gown she was wearing "For your wedding" April replied "April, Liam and I haven't set a date yet" Bianca walked over to the seating area, winking at Charlie as she lowered herself in the seat opposite "things need sorting out first" "No, you need the date first. Once that's sorted, you can get the theme sorted, the flowers..you know, once you got the date sorted" April rambled Bianca laughed slightly at her sisters complete unawares of things "well, I want to be married before March" Charlie looked to Bianca, knowing full well why "Why before March?" April asked "What's so special about March?" "I want someone to be apart of my wedding, and I want them to not have to worry about someone else" Bianca replied, looking to Charlie who smiled "Okay" April slowly said "So, what date then?" "Not the 14th of February. Its too corny" Bianca shook her head. "Or December 31st, January 1st, February 29th" "Liam wouldn't mind February 29th. He'd only have to remember once every four years" Charlie giggled, causing Irene to join in "He'll remember our wedding day" Bianca replied, hitting Charlie on the arm gently "Even if I do have to leave hints around the place" "So, that means" Irene tapped Charlie on the shoulder "We have to organise a hen's party" Irene smiled "No" Bianca hid behind her hands "Yes! Strippers and all" Charlie smiled "celebrating your last night as a free woman Bee. Its a big deal" Charlie brought her cup of coco to her mouth "For some people yes, but not for me" Bianca said "Okay, fine then. You stay home. Irene, Marilyn, Roo, Leah, Colleen and I will have the strippers dance for us, take their clothes off, show use their bulging-" "Alright!" Bianca threw her hands in the air as Charlie looked to Irene and laughed "but they had better be hot!" The next few hours went by, with each woman still laughing and talking about Bianca's impending wedding and who was going to be involved in the wedding. April had fallen asleep on Charlie; both had been sat on the floor and Charlie had begun playing with April's hair, causing her to fall slowly, to sleep. Irene began to calm herself down after the fit of giggles she was in when she caught a glimpse of Charlie; she was glowing. Just as she was about to say something, the phone rang. "Jeez, that the time?" Bianca stretched as she glanced to her wristwatch "Erm, I'll carry her to her bedroom and I'll see you in my room. we can talk some more in there" Bianca said to Charlie, who helped prize April from her and hand her over to Bianca. Bianca lifted her sleeping younger sister to her room and placed her in bed, she pulled the covers over her and kissed her softly on the forehead before walking back out of the room. Irene was still talking on the phone so Bianca kissed Irene's cheek and waved before she headed into the bathroom to was her face and brush her teeth. She then made her way to her room where Charlie was already fast asleep, curled up on one side of Bianca's bed. Smiling, Bianca walked over to Charlie and pulled the covers over her friend, just like she had done with her younger sister. She stepped back and looked at Charlie for a moment or two Things will be alright now she said to herslelf. And with that, she proceeded to get ready for bed.

I'm glad that he will be supportive, regardless of who the father is !! I do feel a bit sorry for Liam, but he totally had what Bianca said coming, and she was pretty much spot on with what she said. Sweet Ruby bit of that chapter !! Glad that she left a message for Charlie!! Aww younger April is cute as well!! Loved the whole girly bondy part of that chapter !! More soon please

Loved the girls talking about Bianca's wedding, hope her and Liam will get over their fight Charlie and April near the end was soo cutee! And rubys little message was sweet Please update again soon x
