Martin and Adam are really bad for each other. They concoct all these schemes and it always backfires on them. Loved Adam's cheeky " Give us a kiss mate!" to Martin. But I do like their friendship.

Fisher is being a wet blanket but he's very narrow-minded when it comes to teaching. He needs to be open to other teacher's ideas. I'm starting to like Grant.

Yeah Fisher is always like this when teachers come along whose teaching methods he doesn't agree with. He all but forced Teresa Lynch out of her job because he didn't like her methods (she ended up in the plane crash with Angel). He was the same with Luke Cunningham as well I think and also used his position as Luke's employer to keep him away from his daughter Rebecca.

Although he has reformed and changed a lot since the pilot, he can still be quite villainous at times.

He was the same with Stevo when he returned too and then worse with Sally when she started teaching there.

Thanks I knew there must have been more examples as I remembered this being an ongoing part of his character. I guess part of the reason Fisher is such a good character is that he is flawed and even though (in this case) his heart is probably in the right place because he cares about education. He can go for months on end being a really nice guy, good father, caring teaching, close friend etc, then he'll remind us all that he is capable of being a bit of a bad ass.

Yeah I think that's what they were trying to do with him when he returned in 2007 when teaching alongside Brad. I thought they wrote aspects of that quite well and true to character, especially as he tried to adjust to teaching in a school that had totally moved on from the days he was principle.

It's just other areas the writers screwed up on in his 2007 return that made the whole thing seem 'off'. Like him not being able to operate a computer and treating it like it was something from the dark ages - he had a computer in his office from the mid-late 90's for a start so that didn't make any sense.

I'm looking forward to watching episodes back to back this morning - its becoming a bit of a habit, I'll spend a lazy Sunday morning totally drenched in nostalgia catching up on the early years, drinking coffee. :P

Seeing the episodes here would be a start, I'm about 20 episodes back at the moment. One thing though, and I'm sure I remember Ste saying this this to me when we finally had Sally's final episodes air in the UK, the show works better when you sit down and watch on your TV screen.

Could the current storylines be any worse? Adam is the stupidest bloke in the history of the world, Martin not far behind. I mean is there anything wrong with the truth? Unbelievable. I hope they get locked up for their stupidity.

As for the Fisher/Grant storyline, yeah, don't care for it, Fisher's being a total jerk, and hasn't been his self since the whole shooting storyline started.

Hoping it picks up soon...

I'm up to 491 and have enjoyed it all so far. I disagree about Fisher, he is totally 'in-character' with Grant at school Imo, this is exactly how I'd expect him to react.

I thought Celia was slightly contradictory at the beauty contest. I would have thought she would be cheering the girls on with their promotion of 'covering up'.

The frogs jumping all over the Surf Club was quite funny to watch as was Martin in the Army tank.

I know this is all very rushed between Ben and Carly, but as I said earlier - it is sooooo typical of Carly, I believe it 100%. At the same time, there does seem to be a genuine difference between her and Ben when compared to all the other guys she's dated and I've just enjoyed seeing her happy for a change. Also really liked her final scene with Andrew in the diner, a nice touch. Also good to have Pippa back.

I think Marilyn is being a bit selfish. Lance is sacrificing a lot for her, selling his car and getting rid of his best friend. And Adam and Martin were trying to help them. I don't think Lance is ready for marriage and I think he knows it.

Vicki doesn't have a brain. Doesn't she know students/teachers are a big no-no?
