How sexist are the writers in favour of the girls? The raft race, and now touch football. C'mon.........

Here here! Unfortunately, this sexism in favour of the girls continues all the way through the Golden Era of Home And Away, one of the big downsides to enjoying our favourite series I'm afraid......

By the way, not long now till

Tom faces the hangman's noose courtesy of the writers!

It's a TV staple isn't it. Boys say girls can't do something as well as boys (and there are many things that (ususally physical), that girls can't do as well as boys, so they then set up a competition which the girls win with a last second stroke of luck or genius.

Hi, does anyone have episodes 490-511 on here in decent quality? Is the CBBCOnChoie uploader a member here?

His videos are the best quality, but he's not as reliable as AusTVClassics. I make do with Aus and watch CBBC as and when they appear.

I see that yu haven't read the discussion on page 32. Thecbbconchoice user in this forum is called "home and away 1988-2000". He said he would upload episodes 491-500 last weekend, but that didn't happen, he only uploaded brookside omnibus, so I guess you will have to wait until this weekend, because the uploader is too busy to upload on other days.

Enjoyable last few episodes. I like the Sally/Mullet stuff and Emma storyline, I'm just enjoying the show in general at the moment, more than I did the latter part of 1989.

Fast forwarded a lot of today’s episode. Don’t care for this Sally/Mullet business, and I find the whole Carly wedding a bore considering they got together in like a day.

Yeah, those are the bits that I cut out so I don't have to fast forward through mine when I get back to these episodes.

It does seem a lot more back to the community stuff. No global bands, no deranged stalkers meddling with a community outcast, no random staying with the Fletcher's to make up for Tom not being there, no Jaws.

I think the fact that we had a fresh influx of characters means we've now got some fresh blood with their stories to tell. I did feel that with Lance and Martin, they were beginning to run out of ideas.

They aren't faultless: did I sense a property development story at the end of Episode 520 (which I believed marked 2 years on air)

Just watched episodes 508-510. A line from 510 made me laugh. Bobby on Carly spending the night with Ben:

'It's no-one's business except your and mine.' Carly is surprised and Bobby then says 'Well, I'm your best friend' - news to me

I'm really loving the Sally/Murray stuff, they're so cute together!
