alexx Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 Spent the last week or two slowly catching up on episodes 526 to 545.Not a bad run.I seem to sympathise with Carly a lot more than most people either on the show or on this forum:She tends to get labelled selfish, which is true but not as much as is often made out.I actually felt quite sorry for her getting her wedding postponed at the last minute when she'd been prepared to do it a lot earlier and Pippa had said it was fine.I was rather annoyed with Steven during all that, he seems to switch between being a decent guy and being an absolute jerk quite a lot at the moment.It was nice that Carly pretended to like Ben's bedroom suite since she could tell it meant a lot to him;maybe she is growing up although it is often two steps forward one step back with her. I agree with this. Carly is a complex and realistic character Imo. I also really enjoy the banter she has between Bobby, Sally and Stephen and her relationship with Pippa in recent weeks seems to have become a lot stronger. I really enjoy the conversations they have about her wanting to stop being selfish and Pip reminding her how far she's come and not to spoil it when she inevitably does. And I also like Ben. I don't usually care for the romance storylines but they do make it as one of my favourite couples. Haha, just watched 550... The tennis stuff was rather funny, Fisher! Enjoyable episode.

Maybe he's just being a good neighbour and I'm reading too much into it. Today was a much better episode. It was funny when Dag Dog started barking when Fisher arrived. And Fisher being too serious about a sports game. Emma and Paul are boring though.

And I can't wait to see what Carly does at the amateur night and Steven's. Should be a laugh. Paul is being a bit over dramatic. Why couldn't he listen to Emma's side of the story before overreacting the way he did?
dncllpyk Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 I didnt watch yesterdays episode because on early yesterday morning we had a huge thunder storm and the power went and when it came back on for same strange reason all the free to air stations except ABC wernt on mystar so I couldent record it. They are back on now though all we had to do was turn it off at the wall for a minute and they came back on

Fisher is putting on the moves already but it\'s way too soon... post Sally is sooooo annoying!!! She certainly was circa 1990...but like a fine wine she became better with age Yes the writers had to get creative there....but I watched the episodes with Rev Newton again and agree that he would lie to Viv and Tammy if it was \'for the sake of God\'....her mother was much like Viv and because of this I guess we can see how she was so nice despite an abusive father.... There\'s been a dip in episodes since Tom died and even the departure of Viv was not as emotionally charged as I thought it would be.... Its not Viv\'s departure I\'ve been missing. I don\'t miss her at all. These episodes of late are becoming boring. I hope we get more Marilyn/Adam and Matt scenes because they are hilarious together. I agree, Matt Adam and Maz are keeping the show from being a complete bore at the moment... Steven learning how to drive - was he a show-off with Fisher....or was he simply a natural....or maybe a bit of both?? Tap Dancer in Ep 549....she was a classic, I fell off my chair laughing Grant\'s response of \'does this go on for much longer\' resulted in further hilarity.... Why can\'t we have more of this in the 2011/2012 H&A???
