I'm visiting relatives in Melbourne over Christmas and I just saw Tom Fletcher (Roger Oakley) in Port Melbourne doing some late night shopping!!! It was very surreal indeed and cool.

Haven't seen any episodes so far this week.

No I didn't - Had it been 4 years ago or so I would have definitely got a photo with him but I didn't want to disturb him and to be honest I'd be a bit embarrassed to do that in the middle of Coles now! haha I'm not really into collecting autographs, I used to be though. I just saw him out of the corner of my eye as someone shopping next to me and he was there for a few minutes before I even realised it was him. Obviously he had a white head of hair and white facial hair and I had to triple take to make sure it was him but didn't want to be creepy and stare...

... I did anyway, hopefully it didn't come across as rude, then he looked at me looking at him, I smiled and said hi, he did the same and off he went. Seemed like a pleasant guy. I bet he gets that sort of thing all the time though, since his face is quite well known not just for Home and Away but other shows like Something in the Air etc. I did notice as he walked down the aisle a few other people taking a double look and staring. So that's my latest brush with fame! That's the third H&A actor I've bumped into in a supermarket.

He's probably used to all the staring and double-takes though.

I'm jealous though Alexx!

Just saw episode 556. I still thought Ben in the high chair is disturbing and will probably give me nightmares but good on him for partipating.

Sally being too bossy and serious for poor old Murray. And LMAO at Murray for popping out of Adam's box.

Steve's act was...so-so.

But Mrs. Jensen finally got to see Paul play the piano and that's the main thing. And it was nice to see her and Emma getting along.

Bobby finally learns the truth about Chris. I knew there was a reason why I didn't like him. Hopefully this is the last we will see of him.

No one at the amateur night seemed to care that Sophie ran off the stage. Grant didn't and he was the one who wanted her to sing. I think that's unfair.

Just seen up to 552. Marilyn is just brilliant. Emily and the actor playing Ernie Jacobs did a fantastic job with the comedy plot of Ernie coming on to Marilyn. Usually these sorts of things happen to characters and you think 'Oh come on, are you really that naive' but it worked well because it fitted with Marilyn's character. Adam/Matt/Marilyn are easily the best thing about the show at the moment. I think it's easy to see that Matt Wilson earns his right as a character (well I liked him before) so perhaps I should say comes to prominence in the sharehouse. I love this trio :)

Quite right Edward, without these three at the moment, I reckon I would've tuned out altogether....everything else happening at the moment is so monotonous.....

Ben & Carly's wedding and the Council Elections have just been ridiculously drawn out....

**** IMPORTANT NOTICE — TENNIS COVERAGE ****

Recently there has been concern regarding the tennis coverage's threat this year to 7TWO's current Home And Away repeat run. It is believed that due to the need to satisfy tennis followers with live coverage, while maintaining consistency with timezones, standby programming has replaced The Early Years, possibly to maintain consistency in the episode ordering (NOTE: THIS IS MY GUESS ONLY, SEE CAVEATS BELOW)

Unfortunately, I can now confirm from a source on good authority the repeat run will not be escaping the tennis this year.

As for whether Home And Away: The Early Years will return after the tennis, this is still speculation, but what I can say is, based on the verified evidence regarding Seven's tennis commitments, when the tennis finishes, there is still a good chance 7TWO will return The Early Years, but sadly the risk of The Early Years being forgotten still cannot be ruled out.

IMPORTANT — I am not an authority on the inner workings of the Seven Network. I am just as much in the dark as you are, and can only go by Internet rumours that have to be backed up by official sources in order to confirm what the future is after this the biggest disruption to the repeat run since 7TWO began 2 years ago.

Please don't ask me to comment about things like why episodes between the years 1990 and 1995 being skipped due to 'contractual reasons'. These are just 'Internet rumours' and are not to be taken as fact and gospel.

At the moment, for the next 2 weeks or however long the tennis goes on for, we can only hope and pray Home And Away: The Early Years will return to 7TWO at 9am as per normal.
