Bobby Forever Missed Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Didn't it irritate you how Carly was FUSSING her silly head off, scared someone might see her precious "bits", while she seemed to have no problem whatsoever showing all to Ben, even though Ben made it clear to her about his prohibition on sex before marriage, in the midst of their rather steamy kissing and cuddling scenes. Serves him right being up on indecent exposure charges, he should have been dragged through the courts and registered as a sex offender, not have the charges laughed off in the frivolous manner shown in this episode. Do you never stop moaning about Ben and Carly there characters in a soap opera get over it, I'll never forget when you told me the storyline was illegal. I always wonder how many people say "I'll never forget" get Alzheimers down the track! I can't say Carly and Ben are my favourite storyline at the moment, I don't get where the place in the show is supposed to be. Ryan I don't think you should stereotype ALzhimers some people may find it offensive

How do you mean? They just seem to be in the endless wedding storyline and trying to think what comes after the wedding, it doesn't feel like they ever go anywhere. Why are they in the show? Their storyline sometimes feel like they're just going through the motions. BFM, I've always had sligthly un-PC humour. People can make their decisions about me from me, not a tamed down wholly non-offensive version.

Blaxland 89 Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 Carly was a great character before Ben came in it. I find that happens often when a good character is paired with a boring one. I'm not saying Leah was boring, but liked Vinnie so much more before they were paired.
Ryan Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 I know we're commenting on this with the benefit of hindsight and with at least some knowledge of what comes afterwards whereas at the time the writers probably didn't know what was going to happen a year in the future, but I think with regards to Vinnie you can watch his whole stint and see a certain growth in the character, from a boy to a man. I think that's the whole point of his arc. Yes, he's not his fun, but I think that's also the point.
