I think the main reason why I prefer Vanessa as Pippa is because her character was more laid back and wasn't just a mother hen like Debra's Pippa was.

But this time I am just going try and think of them as the same character because really they were!

When does Debra arrive? I'm expecting her to show up any moment.

I will miss Vanessa, but luckily I like both Pippa's.

Drunk Donald, that was too funny and his little poem to Pippa and I'm glad the wedding is finally over. I don't like Ben's mum though, she's too pushy and overbearing and she needs to be put in her place.

I gotta say, I’m not normally a big fan at all of wedding storylines and actual weddings themselves, find them boring, but Ben and Carly’s wedding was very well done indeed. Sure the lead up to it might have been drawn out too long but as far as the actual event, they did a terrific job. The storyline with Ben disappearing was brilliant and also very humorous, the episode where time was running out and Ben was nowhere to be seen was really good viewing. And the wedding party was great, Grant as usual was an absolute crack-up  and Ben showed some class with how he handled Angelo and Adam.

Carly has definitely matured since meeting Ben, it's nice to see. As frustrated as I get with her character, I do like her a lot, and I think she brings a lot to the show. It’ll be interesting to see how the dynamics change, if at all, after the marriage.

Grant is a legend, what a comedian! I loved his chat with Steve about the flirty girl who's name escapes me right now. "And all this before breakfast". "She's not a bad looking girl Steve" said with the biggest smirk on his face. I love all his scenes.

Thankfully we've had no Paul lately, or Jess.

Debra's debut will air on Thursday

Here's a promo for the ep I stumbled across a while back - may contain spoilers of course! :P

I didnt start watch Home & Away until about 93 when Debra was playing Pippa. But I think Vanessa and Debra both played Pippa well and I don't really have a favourite. I only saw Vanessa playing Pippa in the re runs.

/me waves goodbye to "Pippa", as she says to Mr Fisher, "I must go, thankyou for being so understanding".

Just a slight hint that she is disappearing from Summer Bay permanently, she is saying goodbye forever.

Goodbye "Pippa"! :waves:

Unfortunately that is the one and only broadcast! I wish they would repeat late at night, they repeat some of the other daytime shows at night, they should do it with H&A. This is the second time in the last couple of weeks where I've missed the episode due to drop outs or computer playing up. I got home looking forward to seeing VD last episode, until I realised the computer had updated and restarted itself. Such a pain.

I agree. The early years episodes should be repeated later in the day.I record the episodes, but sometimes due to bad weather the signal cuts out so then I have to wait for the episodes to be uploaded on youtube but the quality is not as good.I think the early years episodes should be shown later in the day anyway when more people are home to watch.
