Sorry about the Late upload busy weekend with projects and stuff.

Thanks so much again for all your reviews they mean a lot

Btw, I would just like to wish my Friend Kate a very Happy Birthday, hope you have an amazing day xx.

Chapter 6,

Brax had managed to talk Charlie aorund, Brax hated putting her in that position and making her think about the possible outcomes of this situation but he knew that she'd see sense eventually.

"You alright?" Brax asked putting a hand on her shoulder and handing her a sweet cup of tea. She's been sitting starring aimlessly out the window for the least half hour. whilst Brax had been on the phone to Heath.

"Just can't stop thinking about her, she must be terrified Brax" Charlie replied

Brax expected Charlie to start crying again but she didn't her voice however was cold, harsh an slightly lifeless.

"She'll be okay, Charlie, but think positively" He knew however this was easier said than done. Brax's phone rang but this time instead of walking out of the room to talk to Heath he took were he was and gently massaged Charlie's shoulder.

"We're set to go. mate are you ready" Heath asked

"Yea, as ready as i'll ever be"

"What about Bu..Charlie, how's she holding up" Heath asked a hint of actual concern in his voice.

This shocked Brax he hadn't ever heard Heath call Charlie by her first name.

"She's as well as can be expected in this situation"

"What about Case, how's he"

"I dunno, I thought he's be with you"

"Nope i haven't seen him all day"

"I wonder where he is"

"Prob blowing of some steam somewhere"

"um"

"See you in ten minutes then?"

"Sure"

Brax hung up. Whilst they thought that Casey was just blowing off steam somewhere little did they know that one of Jake's Gang had found him on the beach and decided to take him for a 'Drive'

"Charlie" Brax said sitting across from her so that he was facing her. "Me and Heath are going to meet Jake, I need you to stay here and try and stay calm, Babe. eh?" He asked her softly

"No way, NO way am i staying here Brax" Charlie said getting to her feet.

"Be relieastic Charlie, it's not safe for you to come" He argued

"I'm a cop, Brax I think i know what i'm doing in these situations better than you do" She added sharply

"yea you do" he agreed "when it's not your own daughter involved your not thinking straight Charlie, your hearts ruling your head."

"Don't throw that crap at me" She added acidicly

Just then Heath came through the door. Don't stop on my behalf, Heath joked.

"Shut up Heath" Charlie and Brax said in unison.

"Look Brax i'm her mother, i know her better than anyone and she's diabetic what happens if she hasn't had her insulion and she's hypo, what you gonna do then?" She fired at him.

Brax had never thought of that.

"Gotta admit it, mate the chick has a good case" Heath added

"Right fine, Charlie you can come, just promise me you won't get yourself hurt" He kissed her forehead after saying that.

"I won't Brax"

It was a quiet car journey, No one really said much, Brax sat in the back with Charlie just to make sure that she was holding up alright. And let Heath drive.

When they got there Brax and Heath got out and met Jake. Charlie had already been told by Brax to lie down on the floor.

"Darryl, Heath long time no see" Jake teased

"Where is Ruby" Brax Barked.

"She's in here, lets go inside and talk shall we" Jake walked and Brax and Heath knew they had no choice but to follow

Whilst Jake, Brax and Heath cursed, shouted and screamed at each other.

Jake had someone search Brax's youth, They weren't long in finding Charlie. They gaged her and brought her inside the building.

"Look who I found" the man said

"Whats she doing here" Jake asked

"She's Ruby's mum" Brax answered

"And your girlfriend....well since you didn't play by the rules nor will i"

Jake took a gun out of his coat pocket and Pointed it towards a fragile Ruby. Charlie screamed loudly, Heard the gun fire and then felt num

Like all the life had been sucked out of her "CHARLIE" she heard Brax shout. Jake had changed direction of the gun and pulled the tigger on Charlie and then walked out of the room.

"Babe, it's me, try and keep your eyes open sweetie, you need to stay awake"

"I love you Brax"

"I love you too Charlie... talk to me babe, just talk to me, the ambulance will be here soon i promise"

"Brax look at all the blood" Heath said worried

Brax could see that Charlie was going paler and paler by the second

"Stay with me" Charlie said

"I will, Baby, I will"

and what about Ruby, has her lack of insulion done any damage

I'm so sorry guys, It's been far to long since i lasted updated but so much has happened lately.

- I've turned Sweet 16 (last week) :wink:

- I've got my black belt in Taekwondo :lol:

- I'm Training super hard to made it onto the Irish Nationla Taekwondo Squad :o

- And also Training for a camogie Final thats on this thursday :wink:

And thats not metioning exam results and disco's, friends, projects etc!!

Anyway enough about me! Thanks for all your comments they've been brilliant and really inspiring as per usual!!

So......

Chapter 7

Brax stood there and watched as the ambulance drove off with both Charlie and Ruby. He couldn't help but blame himself for dragging them into this mess, for dragging the woman he loved into this. Heath walked over and put his hand on his brothers shoulder.

"She be okay, mate, they'll both be" Heath said He actually sounded generally concerned which suprised Brax, Heath normally came across as having the emotional range of a teaspoon. (And thats being generous)

"I hope, so i don't know how i'll live with myself if she's not" Brax replied "Hows Case?"

"he'll be fine, he's a Braxton, anyway he just has a few cuts and bruises" Heath answered

"Good, I don't know what i would have done if anything had of happened to him or if anything happens to the Girls, All's i do know is that Jake Perovich is a dead man walking" Brax said and there was something about the way that Brax said that that made Heath worry about what Brax was capable of doing

"What have we got" Sid asked as the abulance crew came throw the doors.

"Charlie Buckton, Female, 30, found unconsious at the scene, single gunshot wound to the abdonimal area! Stats 180 Vp 90 over 120" the paramedic rhymed off

"Lets get her an urgent x-ray and prep threatre, we're gonna need to remove that bullet before it causes lead poisining, and ask for a bag of blood she's lost a lot."

"Yea, Doctor Walker" one of the nurses replied

Meanwhile Doctor Green attended to Ruby. She had gone hypoglacemic due to the lack of insulion.

Brax and Casey burst into the hospital followed closely by Heath.

Brax walked straight over to the nurses counter and asked

"Charlie and Ruby Buckton have been brought in by ambulance do you know where i can find them?"

"One second, Sir, I'll page Doctor Walker and find out"

"Brax" Sid Said when he arrived at the desk

"Sid, how are they?"

"Charlie's just out of theathre, We've managed to stablise her for now and Ruby, well due to her lack of Insulion Ruby went into hypoglacemic coma, we have her on a drip balancing out the sugars in her body, but unfortantly we won't know the full extent of the damage until she wakes up"

"Can we see them?" Brax asked impatience getting the better of him.

"Yea sure, Charlie through there and Ruby is across from her on the left, Charlie should be due to wake up shortly"

Brax just sat there holding her pale hand, and stroking her long beautiful brown hair. He was about to drift of to sleep after the long eventful day when he felt Charlie squeeze his hand ever so slightly.

She had a tube in her throat helping her breathe and all of a sudden she started choking and panicing, she'd woke up and had no idea as to where she was or what was happening.

Brax pressed the button for the doctor that was beside the bed.

"Charlie, babe, just calm down, calm down your in hospital, Sid is on his way and he'll get that tube out of your throat" He said gently stroking her hair trying to ease her distress. "Just Relax baby"

"Okay Charlie, i need you to take a big cough for me" Sid told her as he gently removed the tube. "Now" he said handing her some water.

After he had finished tidying up he left the room.

"Hey, how are you feeling" Brax asked

"I've felt better" she whispered back

"I'd bet" He smiled "You gave me quite a scare there sergant"

"Really, wow, be careful Mr.Braxton people might actually start thinking that you have a thing for me" Charlie Teased

This is what Brax loved about Charlie although she was in hospital after being shot and in obilivous pain,, she still managed to pull of the sexy teasing.

"Well, baby, i really don't care what people think"

He got up of the chair and kissed her passionatly on the lips
