 “Yeah I’m fine” Heath said softly as he wiped the tears from his face as if he was embarrassed to cry in front of Charlie

“Heath it’s ok to cry you know” Charlie said

“It’s just hard… he doesn’t deserve this he has been the reason Casey, Mum and I have had a roof over our heads for the past 30 thirty years, a meal on the table he did everything for us after our dad left………if I lose him Charlie I don’t know what I’ll do” Heath said as another tear slide down his cheek

 “He’s lucky to have someone like you Charlie, I have seen so many women walk in and out of Brax’s life but I have never seen him feel the way he feels about you…he’s crazy about you Charlie” Heath smiled

Heath and Charlie made their way back into the hospital together to find one of the doctors talking to Bianca, Casey and Ruby and they immediately knew it would have something to do with Brax

“What’s wrong is he ok” Heath asked as he ran to where the doctor was talking to them

“He has a collapsed lung and a lot of bruising around the wound but we were able to find the internal bleeding and where able to stop it but we have given him a sedative to relax him while the injury heals also he has a tube in his chest to help him breath because due to his collapsed lung he had trouble breathing” Sid replied

“So when will he wake” Charlie asked nervously

“He should wake in the next 24 hours but right now he just needs rest but we will have to keep him here for the next week or so depending on how quickly everything heals” Sid replied while Charlie nodded taking in the information the doctor had given her

“Can we see him now?” Casey asked

“Sure but only two at a time and call me if he wakes” Sid replied before walking away

“Thank you Sid” Heath replied before turning his attention to the others

“How about you and Case go in first” Heath said to Charlie and Casey

“No it’s..” Charlie said but was interrupted by Casey

“No I want you and Heath to go I will go with Rubes” Casey said

“Are you sure Case” Charlie asked

“Yeah I’m sure” Casey replied smiling

“Thanks” Charlie said smiling at him before heading into the room with Heath

As Charlie and Heath walked into the room all they could hear were the faint beeps of the machines Brax was hooked up to but everything else was silent

“Oh my gosh” Charlie said as she sat on the chair by Brax’s bedside and felt the tears welling in her eyes

“Hey like you said he’s going to be fine” Heath said leaning down bedside Charlie

“I know but…seeing all these…tubes and machines” Charlie choked

“I know its hard but you have to say positive ok and like Sid said he just needs time to heal” Heath said rubbing Charlie’s back comfortingly

“Yeah your right” Charlie said wiping the last of her tears

7:30 pm that night at the hospital it has now been 7 hours since they were allowed to see Brax and he still hadn’t woke. Casey and Ruby had gone home to have something to eat and come back later and Heath and Bianca had gone to the canteen to grab a coffee. There was a slight knock on the door before Heath and Bianca stepped in the room with Charlie’s coffee as well as their own.

“Charlie are you sure you don’t want anything else” Heath asked

“Yeah you haven’t eaten anything all day” Bianca added

“I’m fine” Charlie replied

“Ok, but if you need anything just let us know” Heath replied

“Yeah I will” Charlie replied

“Oh and I just had a phone call from Brodie and he said he was gonna come past to see Brax so you might want to go get something to eat then unless you want him to see…” Heath said

“Yeah its fine I might go home and get out of this work uniform” Charlie smiled

“Well we will leave you for a minute and then we will head off?” Bianca asked

“Yeah I will be out in a minute” Charlie smiled before she turned her attention to Brax

“I will be back soon babe, I love you and I hope you know that…” Charlie said to Brax as she cupped his hand in hers and kissed it softly closing her eyes as she felt a lone tear slide down her cheek

Charlie was snapped out of her thoughts by the sound of coughing, which grew louder and louder. She opened her eyes to see Brax’s eyes flutter open slowly as he tried to breathe normally but the tube down his throat stopped him

“Brax” Charlie said before running out of the room

“Heath he’s awake get Sid quick” Charlie yelled before running into the room followed by Bianca

“Brax it’s going to be ok Heath’s gone to get Sid just relax” Charlie said

“Ok step aside for me Charlie” Sid said as he stepped into room and immediately began the procedure of taking the tube at of Brax’s throat

“Ok Brax I need you to relax take a deep breath in and opened your mouth as wide as you can” Sid said

As Brax followed Sid instructions he was able to remove the tube with ease. As soon as the tube was out Brax coughed and gagged but settled as the nurse handed Brax a glass of water he sat up slowly to take a drink of the water but groaned in pain as he put pressure on his wound.

“It’s ok just sit up slowly mate” Heath said as he helped his brother up

“Thanks mate” Brax said as he took the glass from the nurse before she left the room telling him she would be back with some painkillers

“Brax I’m so glad you are ok” Charlie said as she took his hand in hers and again felt another lone tear slide down her cheek

“Hey babe I’m fine” Brax said as he wiped the tears from her face

“I know it’s just…” Charlie said but was interrupted by Brax

“I know babe I am so sorry what I what I put you, actually what I put you all through and Ruby and Case too” Brax said

“Brax, what actually happened out there” Charlie asked curious as to why this even occurred

“I thought that you were done dealing” Charlie asked getting angry

“I wasn’t dealing,” Brax said angrily before calming his voice again

“When Jake went to jail Tegan hid his gear at our place cause she didn’t think anyone would look for it there but when he got out Tegan told Jake where his gear was and when I didn’t bring it to him on time that’s why he kidnapped Casey and Ruby ok. I promise you I wasn’t dealing” Brax yelled the last sentence

“Ok gosh you don’t need to yell at me” Charlie said before heading to the door

“Charlie where are you going” Brax asked

“To the toilet if that’s ok with you” Charlie said angrily before slamming the door behind her as she left the room

“Great now she hates me” Brax said holding his head in his hands

“No she doesn’t Brax” Bianca said as sat on the chair beside his bed

“Charlie has been sitting by your bedside for the past 8 hours ok she hasn’t moved she drank 2 coffees that’s it, refused to eat and cried for most of the time praying that you would wake up…….she doesn’t hate you Brax…..she loves you” Bianca said placing a comforting hand on Brax’s arm

“Your right, thanks Bianca” Brax smiled at her, the moment was interrupted by sound of Heath’s phone ringing they watched on as Heath’s looked down at screen and saw Brodie’s name flash across it

“Its Brodie “ Heath said Brax before answering the phone

“Hey Brods, where are ya?” Heath asked

“I am outside the hospital but I don’t know which room Brax is in so would you mind coming out” Brodie asked

“Sure I’ll be out in a minute” Heath replied into the phone before hanging up the phone and placing it back in is pocket

“I’m just going to meet Brodie so he knows which room you’re in ok I’ll be back in a minute, Will you be right here with this guy here Bee” Heath asked a smirk spread across his face

“Well if I can handle you I’m sure I’ll be fine” Bianca smirked back before her and Brax burst out laughing

“Ouch please don’t make me laugh it hurts” Brax smiled

“You better watch yourself young lady” Heath smiled to Bianca before walking out the door to meet Brodie

Heath made his way out the automatic doors of the hospital to see Brodie sitting at one of the benches

“Hey man how’s it going” Brodie asked hi-fiving Heath as they walked back through the hospital doors

“Good man, I see you didn’t bother wearing a shirt what you going to the beach or something” Heath asked

“Nah you should know me man when do I ever where a shirt” Brodie asked

“That is very true” Heath laughed as he and Brodie continued to the other side of the hospital towards Brax’s room

Bianca laughed as Heath left the room about the conversation thy had just had

“You know its good to see the smile back on your face Bianca” Brax said

“Thanks you can thank your brother for that” Bianca smiled

“Well its about time he did something right” Brax said as they shared another laugh

“I hope you don’t mind me asking but have you come any closer to finding the….um” Brax asked but was interrupted by Bianca

“Its ok and no we haven’t I have remembered some things but nothing that Charlie or the cops could get a lead on” Bianca said before looked down and fiddling with her hands cringing at the thought that her attacker was still out free as a bird

“Hey they will find him you know Charlie is doing the very best she can to bring this guy down and she will” Brax said comforting Bianca

“Yeah I know” Bianca smiled

“Speaking of Charlie where has she gotten to?” Brax asked

“She’s probably just gone to get something eat she hasn’t eaten for 8 hours” Bianca said

“Speaking of food, I wouldn’t find something” Brax said looking to Bianca who just laughed

“Well comes your brother so we can go get you something” Bianca laughed

“Someone should tell him it’s a hospital” Brax said as they started laughing again as they could hear Heath’s voice coming down the corridor

Heath entering the room followed by Brodie interrupted their laughter

“Heath, Brax was wondering if we could….” Bianca started saying but was stopped in her tracks as she saw whom Brax and Heath referred to as Brodie and it all came flooding back to her

“Oh my…god. Its… him” Bianca cried as she pointed to Brodie who as the only one who knew what she was talking about

“Bianca baby what’s wrong” Heath asked

“Him…it’s him… the…. tattoo” Bianca cried before running out of the room in tears

Heath chased after her leaving only leaving Brax and Brodie in the room, Brodie looked to Brax and could see the evident anger in his eyes

“Brax you gotta believe me man I didn’t do it” Brodie pleaded

“Really cause I think ya did and I am not happy Brodie you known that rape is a line that we don’t ever cross” Brax yelled

“I’m sorry Brax...” Brodie started

“Sorry doesn’t cut it Brodie, you are going to pay for what you did and I would get out of here known and trust me it wasn’t for these cords and my injuries I get up and bash the crap out of ya…Now get out of here” Brax scowled

Not even 5 seconds after Brodie had left the room, Charlie entered

“What is going on?” Charlie asked concerned

“I don’t know how to tell you this but….it was Brodie” Brax said

“What, what did he do?” Charlie asked confused

“He….he’s the one who raped Bianca” Brax said before closing his eyes waiting for Charlie’s reaction

Loved Charlie just being by her mans side and how she and Brax have to almost shout their obvious feelings for eachother as feelings are so intense. Chill and communiacte people lol!! Bless them!

That was a great update, was really shocked to find out it was Brody didn't see that coming

He best hope Heath doesn't get a hold of him, that would not go well (for Brody)

Glad that Brax is ok , and its a good thing he told Charlie it was brody don't think she would be happy if she found out he knew and didn't tell her

“WHAT” Charlie yelled as she went to leave the room

“Charlie hang on” Brax called as Charlie entered the room once again

“He has to go down for this Brax” Charlie said

“I know I told him that too” Brax said

“Where did they go” Charlie asked

“Bianca ran out of the room crying and Heath ran after her and then Brodie tried to convince me that he didn’t do it but didn’t have a bar of it” Brax said

“Oh my god” Charlie said

“Where you anyway?” Brax asked

“I went home to get changed I was sick of sitting in that work uniform since yesterday anyway that’s not important right now what is Brodie goes down for this” Charlie said

“Bianca, Bianca!” Heath chased after her as she ran from the hospital as fast as she could

“Bianca please stop!” Heath said as he finally caught up to her turning her around so he could face her

“What wrong tell me what is it” Heath said he’s heart breaking as he watched the tears stream down Bianca face

“It’s him” Bianca croaked

“Him? Him what?” Heath asked still confused as to what Bianca was talking about then it finally hit him

“He…r…apped” Bianca tried to say but couldn’t

“Brodie” Heath said softly under his breath before turning his head to see Brodie making a swift exit from the hospital and immediately made his way towards him

“HEATH DON’T!!” Bianca cried but it was to late

“YOU FLITHY F***ING SCUMBAG YOU HURT MY GIRLFRIEND!!!” Heath yelled in-between punches

“I THOUGHT YOU WERE MY FRIEND HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO HER YOUU STUPID LOWLIFE” Heath yelled as he shoved Brodie up against the wall

“HEATH STOP” Bianca cried

“No deserves this” Heath said as he punched Brodie one more time

Bianca quickly pulled out her phone from her pocket and dialed Charlie’s number she needed help or Heath was going to kill Brodie

“Charlie I’m sorry about what happened before ok” Brax said as he looked up at Charlie

“Its ok I just haven’t slept and you known but I’m just so glad you’re ok” Charlie said to Brax placing his hand in hers as she kissed it softly, the moment was interrupted by the sound of Charlie’s phone ringing as she pulled it out of her pocket and saw the name flashing across the screen she felt sick in the stomach

“It’s Bianca” Charlie said to Brax before answering the call

“Bianca where are you?” Charlie asked

“I am...outside…Heath…He’s gonna…. kill him” Bianca replied her voice breaking as she cried

“OH my god” Charlie said into the phone “I’ll be there in a minute” Charlie said before hanging up the phone

“What’s wrong?” Brax asked

“It’s Heath he attacked Brodie” Charlie said

“S***” Brax said

“I’ve gotta see them, I’ll be back” Charlie said before leaving the room quickly

As Charlie made her way out of the automatic doors of the hospital she saw that Heath and Brodie were still fighting each other and a distraught Bianca and many onlookers watching as the two brawled. She immediately raced over to break it up.

“Heath, Heath come on” Charlie said as she pulled Heath off of Brodie and moved him to the side she could see that he had tears streaming down his face the pain and anger he had inside of him so evident

“Brodie, we need to…” Charlie stopped as she looked around in search of Brodie

“Did you just see where that man went” Charlie asked some onlookers who all shook their heads

“Ok Heath you need to take Bianca someplace where Brodie cant get to her just…just go back to Brax’s room and stay put until I get back ok” Charlie said

“Yeah alright” Heath said

“Ok and if Brodie makes contact call me” Charlie said

And one other thing Bianca where going to make sure Brodie is put behind bars” Charlie said giving her friend a hug before watching her and Heath make their way back into the hospital

“Ok everybody can leave there is nothing to see here” Charlie called before pulling her phone out of her pocket and dialing the station’s number

“Hello this is Constable Watson” Georgina said as she answered the phone at the station

“Georgina its Charlie” Charlie said into the phone

“Charlie how are you?” Georgina asked curious as to why Charlie was ringing on her day off

“Not to good actually” Charlie replied

“Why what’s wrong” Georgina asked

“I just had a phone call from Bianca who was visiting Mr. Braxton in hospital with his brother Heath” Charlie said into the phone

“Yeah we were supposed to go and get a statement from him soon about the attack” Georgina said

“Well there has been an incident” Charlie said

“What kind of incident” Georgina asked confused

“Well while they were visiting Mr. Braxton one of his friend’s arrived to visit one of the River Boys actually he was wearing no shirt” Charlie said

“Go on” Georgina replied

“Well Bianca she recognized one of the tattoos as the man who raped her” Charlie said

“Oh my gosh, who was it?” Georgina asked

“Brodie Upton” Charlie said

“Well is he still there?” Georgina asked

“No what happened was when Bianca recognized the tattoo she ran from the room, Heath who is currently her boyfriend chased after her but when Brodie left the hospital….” Charlie started

“Heath attacked him didn’t he” Georgina said

“Yeah well he just found out that one of his best friends raped his girlfriend, how would you react?” Charlie asked

“True, so what happened after that well Bianca called me telling me they were fighting I arrived pulled Heath off him and then Brodie disappeared” Charlie said

“Ok well do you have any idea where he might be?” Georgina asked

“No, but I could ask Heath and Br…Darryl if they know” Charlie said

“Yeah do that and get back to me” Georgina said

“Ok, then I will come in to the station” Charlie said

“Do you really think that is a good idea Charlie and plus it’s your day off” Georgina replied

“I don’t care, I promised Bianca that I would put her attack behind bars and now I know who he is all I have to do is catch him” Charlie said

“Ok get some information from the Braxton brothers be here in 15” Georgina replied

“Yep and get a warrant on Brodie’s house and start asking locals if they have seen anybody of this description then we will go off anything the Braxton brothers tell us” Charlie said

“On it and see you in 15” Georgina said

“See you then” Charlie said before hanging up the phone and running back into the hospital
