Whatever happened between them it really isn't any of our business and we should stop speculating because not only will we never know but because it is their private business. Just because Dan Ewing stars in a tv show and certain people like him it does not mean that you know him. Nor should you judge him by the character he plays as that isn't fair either.

Agree with everything you said! The only people that know the truth is Dan and Marni.

"sources claiming"..."a Summer Bay spy said" "the source said"

It really annoys me when I read these in articles. They don't say who their source/spy is... For all we know it could be the writer's cousin's brother in law's dog walker who happened to walk past the gates of the studio and came up with this news to report! <_<

Nothing against QA! I very much appreciate all the work they put into supplying us with articles!

It obviously wasn't a Chris Brown style bashing so to say things about him that i've been hearing is a little premature.Domestic abuse is totally unacceptable but you're hardly helping the poor girl by gossiping and forming very strong opinions without all the facts.

Here's another article from the "Daily Telegraph" and "Herald Sun".

Assault charges against Home and Away star Dan Ewing on fiancee Marni Little in Sydney likely to be dropped

THE assault charges against 'Home And Away' actor Dan Ewing are likely to be dropped.

As the soap star returned to the set of Summer Bay yesterday, Confidential was informed it was doubtful the domestic altercation between Dan Ewing and fiancee Marni Little last week would reach court.

Police are believed to be waiting on a statement from Little, who reportedly suffered "superficial injuries to her arm" and was "distressed" when police arrived at their apartment in Fairlight on Sydney's northern beaches late last Tuesday night, four days after the couple celebrated their engagement.

"It's unlikely any of it will go before a judge," a source said.

There was no comment from police about the matter yesterday.

Channel 7 remains quiet on the incident but insiders have said Ewing's position at the network is safe for now.

Thanks ish_the_angel, no offence taken to your comment. I just happened to come across the article and thought it would be an informative one. I'm not a fan of unnamed sources either but I guess the journalist/writer involved has their reasons for not publishing the names and sources of where they got their information from.

Happy reading.

If this had been in the UK(where I am anyway) he wouldn't have even been arrested for that. Would have probably been cautioned... if the police had bothered to turn up.

Yep. True.

I seriously thought I was going to be flamed for pointing that out. I'll go one step further and say that in my opinion what has been reported about the incident doesn't even come close to serious assault/domestic violence*. And as for him being sacked... I don't remember any others in the last couple of years being sacked for behaving badly.

*I hate assault/domestic violence, whether it is a female or male who is violent. So don't flame me.

I agree Pierced Musie. Violence is abhorent where ever and when ever it occurs and domestic violence is just another form of violence. It will only become less prevalent if community attitudes to violence change so that it becomes unacceptable in any setting whether it be domestic or public.
