I loved Charlie and Brax' conversation there, until she told him she wasn't going to the funeral. Which I think is a bit selfish of her. She needs to be there for Brax, I hope she still decides to go, for Brax.

I hope Brax and his mother can find a way to get along again. Cheryl probably doesn't even know about the twins. I hope Brax takes her to see them.

I can kind of see both Brax and Charlie's points, on the one hand Brax could do with her support but on the other Charlie can't forget what Casey did.The end bit with Cheryl accepting the truth was nicely done.

Chapter 32 - I loved how Brax stood up for Ruby.

Chapter 33 - Jacob's so cute.

Chapter 34 - I loved Jacob reminding Brax about bringing the bag and bottles with them. I wonder what the police have to tell Brax?

Chapter 35 - Wow, I didn't expect the news to be about Casey.

Chapter 36 - I hope nothing will happen between Brax and Bianca.

Chapter 37 - I hope Brax and Bianca didn't sleep together.

Chapter 38 - I can understand Charlie not wanting to go to the funeral.

 “Think it’ll take more than a banana and a sports drink to get rid of this hangover.”

 He wanted to learn how to ride a bike. He saw the neighbour’s kid out on it all the time and he didn’t understand how he couldn’t get one. So I spoke nice to the lady next door and she let us borrow it for the afternoon. He was a little natural.” Brax smiled as he felt his eyes welling up with tears. “He wanted pictures taken of him on the bike, but we didn’t even have a camera.” Brax shook his head. “So again, the lady next door took these for us.”

 now I’m never going to get the chance to make things right with him. To let him know that I didn’t hate him and that he was a good kid.”

 I can’t go to the funeral of the man who ra....who attacked my daughter. I’m sorry but it’ll be like saying that what he did was okay now because he died but it’ll never be okay and I can’t stand there and hear all the good thing about him when he hurt my baby so badly.”

“Right.” Brax nodded as he stood up from the bed, letting the photo album fall to the floor. “So all you said there was just a load of bull?”

“No.” Charlie shook her head as she stood up and took a step closer to Brax. “I am sorry for your loss and I feel for you, I really do, but asking me to go to the funeral...” Charlie shook her head. “I’m sorry Brax but that’s the one thing I can’t do. Anything else and I’ll be here for you, but I can’t do that.”

“But I need you Charlie, please do this for me.”

“I’m sorry.” Charlie said almost in a whisper. “I can’t.” Brax took a deep breath before he nodded his head and walked out of the bedroom, before he walked out of the house, slamming the front door shut behind him.

 “But you really promise?” Jacob asked.

“I really really do.” Ruby nodded as she ruffled Jacob’s hair.

 “I’ll be back to see you two again, won’t I?” Ruby cooed. She bent down and placed gentle kisses on their foreheads before once again giving her Mother a hug. “Brax will learn to cope with this.” Ruby whispered before she pulled back. Charlie smiled lightly at her daughter as she watched her get into her car and drive off back to the city.

Loved chax's talk. I hope charlie goes to the funeral to be there for brax.. But i understand how she feels. I don't like how he goes straight to drinking if something doesnt go his way... I was reading it all from the start last night, and you wrote:

So this ^^^^ has put me at ease about him and bianca, he doesn't go for blondes also ;) i just hope he sorts himself out soon..

Thank you for the two new chapters. Boy have Charlie and Brax got some sorting out to do. It is six of one and six of another with Brax wanting Charlie to go to the funeral and Charlie not wanting to go. Perhaps she should have a stiff drink and take a deep breath and go it will be interesting if she does go. Glad Cheryl went to see Brax. Maybe they will make it up. Wonder what Cheryl will say when she meets the twins. That will be very interesting. Looking forward to seeing what happens.

I am glad that it appears that Brax did not do anything with Bianca.

Thank you for the two chapters Danni, you spoil us

Even though they havn't talked about that walk home, I'm happy it seems nothing happened between Brax and Bianca. I'm a little disappointed in Charlie, she wouldn't be going to the funeral for Casey but instead for Brax. He pretty much disowned his family for her and she really should be there for him now when he is struggling. I hope she changes her mind because I think he really needs her now.
