I had totally forgotten about Michael's near drowning after being trapped under a boat. It was very dramatic and well done. I notice the various pieces of dramatic music used were all the same pieces used in a later episode when

Sam is trapped in a fire.

I liked the twist and turns in Pippa and Michael's relationship that followed. You expected Pippa to realise how much she loved Michael by him nearly dying and that she would agree to marry him. And it did in fact seem to be heading in that way. But I think Donald's words inadvertedly made her decide against it. Him saying that the pain of losing someone never goes away, followed by him pointing out that Michael nearly died, I think has made her put the walls back up. She is still hurting from losing Tom and is scared that if she marries Michael and he dies too, that she will have to go through it all again. It's very poignant and sad, knowing what we know eventually does happen a few years down the line. It's also like a sinister foreshadowing that it was a drowning accident which has brought all this up.

It is an interesting plot point. This story is also the first time I truly accepted Debra. The writing is really good but by now I think Pippa does now feel like Pippa well and truly. As in, she was before, if you know what I mean, but she really holds her own now. I still don't like Michael all that much to be honest but then again I did feel myself feeling sorry for him when Pippa turned down his marriage proposal.

The Blake/Rachel stuff is boring me but I feel really sorry for Karen at the moment.

The Blake/Rachel stuff isn't the best but it's ok, and I'm liking Ailsa. The way she got rid of Rachel's brother and pretended Blake was doing his homework was great, reminded me a lot of the 1988 Ailsa. Maybe I just prefer her away from Alf!

I also feel sorry for Karen, but it's a phase most teenagers go through when they feel awkward about their looks. She's not exactly ugly anyway.

Showmakers tried really hard to hide that there was another actress playing Pippa in the beginning. When Pippa picked her phone, every old photo was edited with Debra's head. It's the first time I started liking Ailsa again, when she told Josh to go away, because she seemed to be a real busybody always wanting to know what's happening in the last few months.

Karen's just shy with boys that's all, no way is she ugly. Poor Karen. I hope she finds someone soon. And no one should trust Adam when it comes to his ideas, they never, ever work!

I loved Ailsa the other night with Josh. It reminded me why Ailsa is one of my favourites.

Noticed a young Nell Feeney (Janelle Timmins from Neighbours) credited incorrectly as Nell Fenney on the end credits as Marilyn's potential tenant Sandra whom Nick scared off in 722.

Very disappointed at the way Pippa and Michael's marriage was "proposed", not only does the male (Michael) ask the female (Pippa) for marriage, but even more perplexing is why Michael kneels down before presenting Pippa with the ring. That's Ben ****s Carly material, I woulda thought grown-ups knew better than that, I thought they were past all that teenage/childish crap. They're getting married, why the silly gestures??

Ah another landmark. Alf's general store, which I always thought was more befitting of Summer Bay than that "supermarket". Although it's basically just the same set, with the back area removed and the "video" area turned into a store room. And of course it's much more old fashioned looking.

Although if Ailsa had wanted to save money why did she not just let Alf set up a general store in the other half of the Diner (instead of eventually giving it to Marilyn 5 years later)??

How can you trust trust Ben, when he said that Pete is nothing like Dave when in fact he IS!!!! And how dares Pete say that Ben is miserable? All he's done in marriage is giving orders to Carly, orders about moving to farm, living in that old house. I like how supportive Sophie has been lately to Karen. And that f****** Josh, I hate him so much now. Did I miss something or didn't Sally go away somewhere. She's been missing for atleast 7 episodes if not more.

Yes now we've got this idiot Pete on the show, showing Carly the error of her ways by pointing out how miserable she is making Ben. It really feels like the writers are expecting us to agree with this!!
