What happened in her life to make her such a bitch? The time in Wentworth at the hands of The Freak, which included being taunted about losing her baby.

Thats where's she from. It was really bugging me where I had seen her before.

Then years later she comes back as Vinnie's mother.

Strange to see that there is no change in the opening titles. I thought the Karen and Blake shot would have been removed by now.

I am getting really bored of the new principal now. And splitting up Hayden and Blake is a low blow for her

But since Hayden is leaving in a few weeks it makes sense.

I think Pippa and Michael should go and tell Sophie about David NOW rather than wait otherwise it will get worse for her (not that I have sympathy for David. I can now see that he took advantage of a vulnerable young girl still dealing with the trauma of the Tracey business)

Just caught up with 641. Seems some pretty old incidental music used around 16:30. Was it the first time they filmed that area outside the hospital. Remember it being used quite a bit when Lachie was in there.

842. Have seen the microphone again in this episode as well as the previous one.

Whats Pippa on? Dont tell me Nick and Lucinda have finally agreed to tie the knot! They've only known each other a few months. Just because Pippa married Michael so soon.

Bye Karen. One of the saddest exits when you think of what she was like when she came into the show.

Its the sweet ones you have to watch out for. Blake always seemed the deeper character for me rather than Karen.

843 and the boom came into shot once again with the Blake and Alf scene.

Very unusual for a character to be in a hospital ward. Usually they have a private room dont they. The female patient looked just like Aaron Welles at 7:30! Nice to see some Matt, Adam, Marilyn scenes.

As Bobby has lost a cousin and Fisher a nephew they dont seem too bothered!

Has Bobby stopped wearing her glasses now?

HEY!!!! What have they done to My Karen??? They've banned her from the opening titles (with Blake reduced to a name in the closing titles), because she did us a favour and got rid of David? Has the Love At Any Cost brigade succeeded in having her removed?

What shot have they replaced it with?

Yes what an exit for Karen. Very dark for H&A especially in those days. It is strange how they just...stopped showing her. Even though the storyline wasn't over yet. You'd think they would have at least shown the hearing where she was refused bail. Disappointed to see the back of her to be honest.

But I have liked the fallout and how it has affected various characters. Blake's reaction was great. Les Hill was/is a very good actor when given the material. Crawford using Karen as an example to the other students was so insensitive. The short moment of Haydn refusing to return to his seat until he had finished wiping Karen's name off the board was a nice touch.

Michael, after admitting finally he was wrong about how he handled David's death, has jumped straight into another mistake by supporting Crawford despite Pippa's wishes and falling out with Alf and Ailsa in process. Can't he just submit to the fact that Pippa is always right?
