~Lynd~ Posted October 2, 2012 Report Posted October 2, 2012 Sophie and Chloe are two of my favourite characters though I didn't vote for either of them.Back then females were written far better then they are now. Of the current cast Casey and Sasha are two of my faves though I didn't vote for either of them either lol.Sasha's the only decently written female on the show.I used to like Bianca but they've ruined her in recent months. It hurts my heart that a certain brother won out of the three but that's far to controversial for me to want to go into so i'll leave it to someone else.
Blaxland 89 Posted October 2, 2012 Report Posted October 2, 2012 I find it interesting that considering Angel was the favourite at the time, Shannon and Chloe have now done better than her. Also we have seen nothing of Selina. And I cant see her being in it now.
Red Ranger 1 Posted October 2, 2012 Report Posted October 2, 2012 Ah, Pippa, the second of my five to make an appearance.Glad she's gone up a bit, for someone who was a cornerstone of the show for so long, it didn't feel right to have her down in the also-rans last time.
vanillak Posted October 2, 2012 Report Posted October 2, 2012 Would have been sure that Pippa would of placed higher but from reading the previous comments she has gone up the rankings.Also very surprised that Jack and Martha didn't place at inside the top 20 considering they both have placed in the top 5 in previous polls Martha having done so twice, but it echoes what has been said about characters slipping down the order the longer they are out of the show, i'm sure that a lot of people that watched the show back when they were the main couple and had an massive fan base now don't watch the show anymore and a lot of the current crop of viewers didn't watch it back then and would regard Charlie and Brax as the ultimate couple.

Whilst I enjoyed the interaction between Roman and Morag, Roman and Aden, and finally Roman and Nicole I always felt that they missed the chance to explore an Aden and Nicole relationship by putting them together and expecting a brother/sister dynamic before we had the drama of Belle and Aden. (cue the million Adelle fans to argue with me). I've never been entirely certain when Bevan Lee's stint ended so I may be totally wrong here but it always felt like he set up Aden and Nicole as a future couple only for it to be thrown out in a single episode where, after weeks of flirting with her and giving off an "interested" vibe, Aden is suddenly portrayed as too messed up by his abuse to have a relationship with her and decides not to bother.It seemed like Bevan had set up Leah and Belle running the Den as a new drop-in centre, with Belle becoming a sort of older sister figure to the other teens, only for that to be promptly closed down when he left, leaving Leah stuck in the kitchen again and Belle with nothing to do other than hook up with Aden.How successful that was is a matter of opinion.

But I don't think he was responsible for how it went around the cliffhanger/Olympic one. He said more indirectly that he wasn't happy with the direction that storyline took. I wonder how Nicole ends up in this list... I really hope she's there. But I wouldn't be too much suprised if she is not. Nicoles character became rather dull and messy after Romans departure, and she was just used for over-the-top storylines, and it seemed like they couldn't decide in which direction they wanted to explore her.

I think we're still missing at least two River Boys, which is unsettling. Still waiting for Morag, Irene, Fisher, Alf and Sally, amongst others. Interestingly, we're also still waiting for Charlie. There's also a hint we're going to see Greg and Sam as well. Gonna be an interesting Top 10. The repeats on 7Two and 5* have definitely had an influence this time round.
rachel1990 Posted October 2, 2012 Report Posted October 2, 2012 I thought Bobby was going to be in the top ten. That is a pity. Thought the 7two 1990 season would put her in the top marks. Very Scared about the show being near to the end of Bobby. Alisa did have a huge showing on 5* so maybe some of the votes went that way? Totally agree about Marilyn. Great in her first two times on the show but now is totally ignored. Not sure why Emily is still bothering to be honest. Ruby was ruined when Charlie was killed off. But to be fair the character had run out of steam Nicole stayed a year too long. Vinnie was great. Simple. Matilda was the best Hunter by a mile. I presume she is the highest scoring one ? Shannon and Selina might win it IF 7two do 1995 and 1996. Noah Must have a huge following on the site because I barley remember him to be honest. If this poll had been done in 1990 Bobby would have won it by miles. Right?
