" Roo shouted up the stairs before entering the lounge where Marilyn was looking through a pile of old papers.... "Maz..... what are you doing? Harvey was meant too have thrown those out for the re-cycling a week ago...." She picked the pile up and headed towards the back door. "I ....I was just looking for that voucher, the one for the Jackson's new store.... I was hoping it might be the lucky ticket." Marilyn said "Dad reckons there is no lucky ticket" Roo said as she stopped and turned around..." He reckons it's all a con, course in his day of owning the store He did everything by the book....all fair and square...." " Listen Roo, your Father ... well, him and that store were inseprable.... " Marilyn said.... "Maybe he is mourning the loss all over again!" "And what about this "Norm" ? The man hasn't seen Dad in over 40 years Maz ....and suddenly there best mates....I mean....what is going on there?" Roo said. " I was wondering when you'ld bring Norm up" Alf said as he entered from the hallway into the kitchen, "Mr Stewart you have too admit it's a bit ...." Marilyn said.. "A bit what?" Alf said....."The bloke is lonley, his family are up in the WhitSundays and right now he needs a mate!" "But how much do you actually know about him Dad?" Roo said.... "More than you so why not keep your nose out of my business!" Alf said before walking out of the house, slamming the back door as he goes. "See!" Roo said too Marilyn, "That's his attitude, as soon as you mention this "Norm" ...Who is he Maz? and what the hell does he want with my Dad?" Irene walked along the beach, in her head she remembered the days when Finlay and Sophie used too sunbathe or watch the surfies....she smiled too herself before she noticed something on the dunes....she walked towards what looked like a body.... "Strike me ..... Jasmyn? " She said as she reached where Jasmyn was laid, passed out on the sand, holding an empty whisky bottle in her left hand... "Jasmyn love.....can you hear me?" Irene said as she reached out too prod Jasmyn... " Jake.....what time is it? ...." Jasmyn murmured as she slowley opened her eyes and came round... "No love, it's Irene....Alf's freind, you remember me? ....Do you know where you are love?" Irene said , growing concerned. " Oh Irene..... Please don't tell Jakey...." Jasmyn said as she looked at the bottle and saw where she was "I.....I slipped out last night for a ... few drinks...but Jake will go mad with me cos he doesn't like me drinking...." "Let's get you home shall we darl'?" Irene said "NO!" Jasmyn said as Irene tried too help her up on her feet...."I don't wanna go there!.....Jake'll go mad and ....." "Love...... don't do this too yourself!" Irene said as she looked down at the woman, " I've been there ...and it's not the place to be in right now girlie" "But Jake...." Jasmyn said as she looked up at Irene.. "He's gone love.....You need to move on .... and stop trying to find the answer in a bottle...." Irene said.. Leah was busy plumping cushions on a bed in her house when she heard a car horn...She ran outside to see Dex's car driving down the driveway and she smiled as she saw VJ in the passenger seat....He was looking straight down and didn't even notice Leah. " One Son delivered safe and sound" Dex said as he went too kiss Leah. "How is he? ...." Leah asked, "Did Rick say anything? Have you got all his meds?" "Wooooo" Slow down a second " Dex said putting both arms around Leah "this is a step forward Leah, but ...it's only a small step, don't expect too much!" "But they let him out Dex, that has too be a good sign!" Leah said as she walked towards the passenger door and opened it. "Darling....It's me, Leah....Welcome Home...." She said as she wiped away tears from her cheek....Dex stood back and was worried.....worried she was hoping for the old VJ..... Eve cleared away the breakfast plates and loaded them into the dishwasher, she then looked out of her window and noticed a rolled up paper in her mail box.... she went outside and went too the mail box.... as she opened up the rolled up paper she felt sick .... she looked up and down the street but there was no one around... She then walked calmly back inside and closed the door, as she did she heard a door close shut upstairs.... "Theo.....is that you?" she shouted up the stairs...and waited for a reply....She went up the stairs but as she reached the top step Tyler appeared in the hall.. "Mum? " Tyler said "Are you going to this Surf Carnival...." " Oh Tyler, I thought you'lld left already?" she said , as she turned around "Are you ok Mum? " Tyler said "You look...pale" " I need you too see this....." Eve said as she walked back down the stairs and shoved the rolled up paper into Tylers hands..... "What is it Mum?" tyler asked as he unrolled the paper to see a shocking photo of his Dad with a blonde in a bar... "Oh my god!" He said "Where did you ....I mean....HOW did you? " Tyler said as he looked in shock at his Mum... "it was delivered..... I can't show you're Father...." Eve said as she walked into the kitchen..."this is all her fault!..that girl...." "What? ....you think all this is down too Annalise?" Tyler asked as he followed her "Who else? ....Tell me Tyler? ....." Eve screamed at him...."Who else would do this too us? Do this too me? "
riverboi69 Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 Lynne stood on the balcony of the Diner and looked out over the Bay, over the surfers on the waves, out across the bay to the lighthouse, as far as the eye could see.... She was soon startled by a voice behind her. "Beautiful view this time of day isn't it?" Alf said as he stood at her side, holding a take away coffee in his hand. "It's always been stunning!" Lynne replied as she continued looking out over the sand and towards the horizon. " I guess I am biassed but .....There is no other view I'd rather see than good old Summer Bay in all it's glory!" Alf said as he smiled to himself. " That's the beauty of it I guess...." Lynne said. " I went too New York once you know, stayed at my daughter's place.... It was ok but jeez, I was glad too be home...glad too see the Bay!" Alf said, "Sounds like you really love the Bay" Lynne said. "love it? strewth! I can't imagine life without Summer Bay in it....." Alf replied before walking away.... Lynne continued looking out to sea for a second or two and then reached into her handbag and got out a dictaphone which she spoke into as she took off her sunglasses and looked out over the bay again... "So there you have it.....Summer Bay folks,.... one man's dream setting, his home, a place of ....beauty...... but also a dark, nasty place as we now know!... what secrets, dark secrets lie underneath the core of this coastal community....and when will that secret be discovered? .... Lynne stopped the tape and listened back to her words Dexter was walking down the corridor at the hospital when he passed room number 25, he was carrying a folder of patients notes which he put down on the table by the bed,,,, "Good morning Norm...." He said with a smile. "Ah...you again eh?" Norm said as he glanced at Dex "Where's that other Doc? " The other Doctor has rounds too do, but he let me do your obs today....Now, how did you sleep?" Dex asked "Not bad, I had a weird dream though " Norm said " Least you slept I guess...." Dex said as he started too read thru the folder. " It was a weird dream, I was in a boat with my dad and some other guys.....we were all laughin' and joking around.... " Norm said..."then ... well then it hit a rock in the sea bed, and water started too leak in ....." "That sounds great , now....." Dex said, not really listening... "You seem troubled lad" Norm said.... "oh, it's nothing..." Dex said .... "Tell me If you like, I ain't gunna go around telling folk now am I?" Norm said. "It's well....your notes....they say you worked at the caravan park in your early twenties..." Dex said. "Yeah, that's right...it was just a patch of sand then with a few rusty old tin sheds on it.... wasn't as posh as it is now lad" Norm replied. " Who owned it?" Dex asked "Them Stewarts..... relatives of Alfie.... sorry, Alf .....I knew him as Alfie see, even dated his sister at one time" Norm said., "Celia?" Dex asked. "No...No, Morag.....the bossy one " Norm said as he laughed too himself......My sister Martha married Alfie eventually ...." " Ah kool.... " Dex said "Now, is that all you wanted too know only I need to .... " He looked towards his camode and whistled "You know!" "Oh sure.....sure " Dex said as he closed the folder and started to exit the room. Romeo was walking along the beach when he saw Bethan building a sand castle..He noticed she was on her own, after looking around for her folks. "Hey .... you ok?" he asked as he reached her.... "I'm good thanks" Bethan replied "Good.....Your folks gone to get you an ice lolly have they?" Romeo asked Bethan. "Nope....Dad had some ...business to take care off so he said too stay here until he got back..." Bethan said as she continued to dig at the sand... " Which way did Daddy go? ....Can you remember?" Romeo asked "That way,..." Bethan said as she pointed towards the surf slub .... "He had too go see a land developer about some big contract that could make him rich!" "Really?" Romeo said .... "Yeah!" Bethan said as she looked up at him "Mummy says Daddy works too much, but he just wants to do this deal and then we can go home" " It must be fun, travellin' around ...." Romoe said . " I like Summer Bay, I like the sand, and the water..... and I kinda wish we could visit Grannie Irene but Daddy said she is too busy too see us this trip!" Bethan said.... "Oh I think Grannie Irene would love to see you you know,...."Romeo said .... "You reckon?" Bethan said with a smile... "Yeah kid.....I reckon so" Romeo said as he smiled back ....and Bethan put out her hand towards him.... Bianca stopped by the road side near the lighthouse. She had felt very uneasy all night, and felt she needed to come back to the spot..... the spot where Brax had fallen from the top of the lighthouse. She sat in her car and in her head she was back there.... four years before.... She felt the cold air pass the back of her neck as she looked up at the lighthouse .. a shiver went through her spine as she pictured in her head Brax hitting the ground, she remembered looking up .... and seeing someone up there.... someone she knew .... someone she trusted....and from that day, everything had changed!!

riverboi69 Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 The sound of the surf lapping against the rocks woke Julie up, she opened her eyes, then turned and looked at the time on the alarm clock....It said Half past ten so Julie turned her head back on her pillow and enjoyed the lie in ... She let her mind wander to last night.... a smile ran across her face as she remembered the walk on the beach, his hand in her's, the red rose he had given her... She then turned her head and looked out of her bedroom window to the veiw... Then she heard the shower switch itself off....and the en suite door creak open ... She turned her head as He entered her bedroom, wrapped only in a towel... "Er...I hope you don't mind, I used some of your shampoo.... still had sand in my hair from last night...." he said as he leant over the bed to kiss Julie,.."mornin' " " I half expected you to have gone ...." Julie said , still smiling. " Nope....Not got much on today..." He replied..."What time are you due at the hospital?" " Pretty soon I'm afraid so you Mr, will have to go home before they notice you stayed out all night!" Julie said. " Ha! It's kool..... maybe It would be easier If they found out, about us..." He said as he relaxed on the bed. " No!" Julie said as she jolted up from her pillow.... "Are you ashamed of us?" He asked, "No, ... Offcourse not hun, I just ..... I have a job at the hospital, people respect me in Summer Bay....It's difficult" Julie replied. " So....I am just you're dirty little secret right?" He asked, feeling slightly rejected. " You Mr, need too get dressed.... " Julie said as she turned to look at the sea ...." I'll drive you to the road near home ok?" "It's kool...." He replied as he got up off the bed...."I need a run anyway...." He walked back into the en suite as Julie looked at him and felt a pang of guilt for the first time since they had got together..... Dylan opened up the door to the caravan, and felt underneath the sofa and pulled out a crumpled up old newspaper, He was busy reading it when Maddie appeared... "Hey....I knocked last night" She said "Where were you?" "Oh....I went into Yabbie Creek, with Ben....We went to see a band....was pretty good" Dylan replied. "You ok?" " I got a postcard...." Maddie said as she sat on the step of the caravan and produced a postcard which was from Tahaiti. "It's from Spencer" "Ah right......You ok ?, I mean....I know you miss him heaps" Dylan replied "He broke my heart, and we were on again-off again ...but ... I miss him so much" Maddie said "Does that sound crazy?" "Nope...I totaly get you!" Dylan said as he looked at the framed photo he kept on the table of his Mum.... "I'm sorry....I guess you must realy miss everyone back in London?" Maddie asked. " I guess so..... " Dylan replied "You don't talk about home much...." Maddie said "Not much too talk about....the weather's not great, Mum did a great job bringing us up...It wasn't easy, without a Dad ...Simon's a great guy but He ain't Shane, I guess sometimes Mum felt a bit sad she couldn't do more with us, but the illness just took over...." Dylan said. " She will get better tho.....you have to keep that in mind" Maddie said as she ripped up the postcard... "Aren't you goin' to read that first?" Dylan said "Nope.....There is no point looking back .... Just forwards, and right now.... I think me and you should go down too the beach for a swim" Maddie said. "I'll erm.....grab my towel" Dylan said as Maddie smiled at him .... Leah and Vj were walking along the beach when they saw Jett, busy cleaning a boat by the wharf.. "Hey look Veej....there's Jett,,,,,," Leah said with a smile. Vj just looked at her, silent.... "You remember Jett?, you and him hung out together lots....before ... well, you hung out....He was really worried about you.." Leah said, hoping it would trigger a memory in Vj's head but ....nothing...Vj just shrugged. "I don't .....I don't remember him Mum...." Vj said... "Then why don't we go to the Diner, get you a milkshake......Caramel was always you're favourite....." Leah said as she started to walk on... Vj stood on the sand and looked out at the waves.... In his head he got flashbacks of noise.... and smoke everywhere....He started to feel sick .... "Veej??" Leah said as he felt his legs give way from under him.... As his head hit the sand, Leah ran over too him and tried too wake him up .. "Veej.....Veeej, " She said...then looked up to try and get some help.. She got out her phone and tried to dial but her hands were shaking so much, "Have you called for an ambulance?" said a voice from behind her "I was up the beach, saw him collapse....Has he doen this before?" "He.......no, He's been very ,..... ill......I need to get him to hospital" Leah said, trying to think .... "It's ok, He will be ok....I'll drive you anywhere you need to go ok....." The man said as he picked up Vj in his arms. "Thank you, thank you so much" Leah said.... " It's ok....now let's go ...." The man said as they started to head towards the path up the beach..."it's ok Alexandros, you're going to be just fine" Leah stopped dead in her tracks and grabbed the mans left arm..... "Who are you?? ......" leah asked with a look of horror .......

She found herself shouting out before having time too think..."Have you got a minute?" "What's up love?" Alf said as Bianca walked alongside him. "I know this sounds strange but .... I think something weird's going on!" Bianca replied " Weird?" Alf said, puzzled... " Dex told me about your old freind, Norm?" Bianca said "Ah yea, tell you what love..... If the cancer don't finish him off, Morag will...." Alf replied with a smirk on his face. "So, Dex was right then...It is Cancer!" Bianca asked "The Docs reckon it's nocked the wind out of him this time, poor fella....He was always a fighter, was Norm but .... well, I think this is one fight He just isn't gunna win" " Dex said he used too work at the old boatyard...." Bianca said. " He did , His father owned it back then offcourse... employed me, and Heston Fisher...." Alf Replied "Fisher..... Fisher" Bianca said as she stopped for a second to think..."Any relation to Donald Fisher?" "His Brother, strewth love ....what is all this? " Alf asked.. " There is something weird about all this Mr Stewart....trust me!" Bianca said .... Leah stood, confused, "Who are you?" she asked again, before getting out her phone and dialling, then speaking into it... "Hello....police please...." "Wait!" the stranger said as he grabbed the phone "Please, just hear me out Leah....I only came to see that the boy was ok, I mean no harm!" " You.... you knew his middle name......" leah said, still confused. " I was in Prison with Vinnie, great guy, we were like Brothers.... I promised him I would look out for you, and Alexandros...." the stranger said, " VJ" Leah said...."He's VJ" "Vinnie would be proud, he's a great kid...." the stranger said "Now, we need too get him too a hospital" " I don't ....." leah said. "Trust me? ok, let's get Alex....sorry, Vj home at least...then me and you, we can talk....If you want?" the stranger said as he got out some car keys. " Ok.....It's all just ...." Leah said... "a shock right? " the stranger said as he opened up his car ..." I guess If I were you I'd be freaked out, but a promise is a promise Leah!" Lynne took out a photo she had stolen whilst at Summer Bay house, she looked at it as the memories of the last twenty years came flooding back, she had made a name for herself, she had built up a business from nothing, and she knew that coming back to the bay was right.... She got out her phone , and trawled down the list of contacts .... till she reached Frank Morgan.... she stopped for a moment and looked at the photo... "Dam you" she said as she put down her phone and picked up the photo frame and threw it across the room..... Jett held the watch in his hand, and watched how it glistened in the sun as he sat near the surf club... It caught the eye of Tyler, who walked up to where Jett was sat. "That your's is it?" He asked as he sat down next too Jett. "Maybe......" Jett replied "Nice.... they don't make many of those watches, circa 1984... which makes it .....oooo....25 years old I reckon" Tyler said "You some kinda genius? " Jett asked as he put the watch in his pocket. "If you mean am I a nerd, then .... nah, I just read books when I am bored..." Tyler said Jett then noticed the girl from the boat by the wharf, walking along the beach.... "Hey!" He shouted...she looked at him and smiled, then waved. "You know that kid?" Tyler asked "seen her around a few times...." Jett replied "My Dad caught her goin through his bins yesterday..." Tyler replied... Jett looked up as he noticed the girl walk down the path to the beach, he had too find out more about her....she intrigued him, Eve was busy putting fresh flowers into a vase at home when the doorbell went.... she answered it but no one was there.....she looked around and then closed the door, walked through the hallway too the kitchen and when she got to the table she saw the vase ...and flowers ...all cut up and thrown all over the table... she felt a chill on her neck as she noticed that the window was open and went too shut it....she then returned to the table and picked up one of the red roses but caught her hand on it.. "Ouch!" she said...."Dam flowers" "You ok Eve? " Theo said as he reached the spot where Eve was stood, he saw blood on her hand and walked her to the sink, put on the cold tap and rinsed her hand. "I'm fine, it's nothing" Eve said. "You sure?...you're shaking...." Theo asked.... "I said I'm fine!" Eve snapped at him before heading to the fridge and getting out a bottle of wine, before pouring a glass out. " Ok...erm, Dad wanted me to check you're still up for this thing tonight.......but If you're felling like this, maybe you should stay home?" Theo said. "Tell your Father I will see him at seven... and to wear a shirt and tie, this development could bring his place a lot of business...." Eve said.. " yeah.... it's pretty excitin' ....I guess Dylan will be there tonight?" Theo asked "No idea, ask your Father...." Eve said before picking up the glass of wine "Now, I have to go shopping...I'll see you later and try not too mess this place up!" Eve left the room and after a minute or two Theo picked up a rose and started to tear petals off it, "She loves me......she loves me not.......she loves me......she loves me.....NOT!" he said before smiling and laughing to himself....

She was sure she had seen that car the day before somewhere, and she began too drive faster but the car behind only sped up and kept following,. "Does the name Heston Fisher mean anything too you Irene?" Bianca asked as she took a jug of orange juice out of the fridge and poured herself a glass. " Darl, the only Fisher's I know are Donald...and Marilyn was a Fisher.....You could try askin' her you know" Irene replied... " Alf used too work with him, at the old boatyard.... " Bianca Said as she sat looking out onto the beach,... "Go on...." Irene replied, "There's something on your mind love, so come on, what is it?" " I am not sure, but I was talking to Alf's friend, Norm at the hospital yesterday.... There's something about him, about his life that is odd!" Bianca said. "Odd?" irene asked quizzingley "I need to do some digging Irene,.... but If this is leading where I think it is leading, .. then this new development is sunk before It even begins!" Bianca said. "What are you doin' later?" Roo asked Maddie as she bought A cupcake at the Dinner. "Dylan is off to this Development thing.... I said I'd tag along, for support!" Maddie replied " I thought you were against this development?" Roo said. "Yeah, I am" Maddie replied, "But it's important too Dylan.... The store will do well out of the extra tourists" " Providing those tourists want too buy things from the store....I mean, they may want too head into Mangrove river" Roo said, "That job's keeping Dylan in the Bay" Maddie said, "I'd miss him If he left now....." "I know you would, he's a nice young man.... and well, I know Dad's enjoying having him bak in the bay...." Roo replied "Anyway, I am making a casserole, it's one of Colleen's recipes.... see you later " Maddie smiled as Roo walked off and then she noticed a newspaper on the table next to where she was sat and read the headline...she picked the paper up and headed towards the door .. only too bump into Theo outside. "Wow! someone's in a hurry!" He said.. "Sorry, I wasn't ..... are you ok?" Maddie said not realy listening. "I'm good...... you off to meet Dylan are you?" Theo asked "I am in a bit, just a few things to do first...." Maddie said " I've just come from the store, and I'm pretty sure he said He had too work late tonight now....." Theo said "Really?" Maddie said..."We were supposed to be off to that development...." "Nope, He definatly said he was working late, think Dad asked him and you know how keen Dylan is...."Theo replied "Oh ok........great!" Maddie said and started too walk off... "I could go with you...to this development thing....I'm pretty much free tonight" Theo said "You? go with me? " Maddie asked "Sure, why not..... saves you missing out..... Dylan doesn't have too ruin your entire evenin'" theo said,,"what do you say?" "Ok, yes.... let's go!" Maddie said as they walked off , Theo smiling as they went along the coastal path......
