The Cyclone? Again?!

I look forward to the episode from 2004, even though the context of the storyline shouldn't be important to the viewer, just the couple of scenes of someone in a bikini  .

Why don't C5 put a list of the episodes on the website?

Monday is a 2013 episode, RR1.

According to my EPG, Wednesday is a 2004 episode. It might be 3744, although I'm probably wrong.

ETA: I think it's actually episode 3737 on the Wednesday! I shall be recording that! The cyclone disaster of 2006 is on Tuesday btw!

Big thank you, Light of the Bay!

I'm also rolling my eyes at the cyclone, another one that gets trotted out year after year.Looking forward to the 2004 episode though!

I get the impression that Channel 5 is trying to keep the results of the poll secret by not announcing episodes in advance but then they don't bother telling us who the episodes are actually meant to represent.I've still got no idea who No.21 was meant to be and it isn't even on Demand 5 who it is.

EDIT: According to the Twitter thread, it was Matilda.Which kind of makes sense.

Caught up on last night's episode.Even after rewinding and rewatching the opening several times, I couldn't see a caption saying who No.21 is meant to be:I'd guess at Ric but it could just as easily be Martha, Matilda, Cassie or even Lucas despite him not being in it that much.Demand 5 still isn't saying at the moment.

Well, I wish they'd shown the following episode so we'd actually seen the end of the storyline but there you go.It was still enjoyable and we got the wonderful conceit of Lucas pretending to be a member of a street gang.Cassie was still likeable at this point and it was great to see all the teens working together to come up with a lateral thinking solution to the problem.Matilda shows a sneaky side that wasn't seen that often in that period and demonstrates just how far she's willing to go to help Ric.The banter between her, Cassie and Lucas over the fake tattoo was actually quite fun and natural. And nice to see a bit of Sally, who always tends to be neglected in these runs.

The Martha stuff was okay in context(or possibly out of context):At the time it seemed to be shaping up to be one of soaps' few in depth portrayals of the consequences of having an abortion and how what seems on the surface to be a quick solution can have long term effects psychologically.Unfortunately, after a few weeks of serious exploration, it suddenly morphed into a storyline about Martha dating a dodgy club owner and becoming a pole dancer, with the reason for her odd behaviour being completely forgotten about.

And can't say I really agree that something Bianca did three years ago makes her unsuitable for principal, that's like ruling Sally out because she stole some exam papers when she was sixteen. As far as I can see, she's done a pretty good job.

So, is anyone out there knows the episodes for next week and posts them on there, I'd be eternally grateful...

I also think it was unrealistic and contrived when they made Sally the head.

I also think it was unrealistic and contrived when they made Sally the head.

Thankfully when Beven came in to write the first part of 2008 they actually explored the fact that maybe Sally wasn't quite right for the job. And Fisher's doubts were true. It was also the first time it was mentioned in the script what a ridiculous police man Jack was.

Also would you want your child going to a school where the head teacher used to have sex in the library and is now going out with known criminal. If Donald even farted he worried about his reputation.

^They didn't explore the fact that Sally wasn't right for the job, they had some new guy come out with a load of waffle about previously unmentioned exam results and claim that Sally had ruined the school, even though there was no sign of this and she'd only been in charge six months and seemed to do a perfectly good job.(The fact that far worse things happened on Martin's watch, like the entire senior student body nearly burning to death at a school event held in an unsafe building or being blown up on a school trip by an unsupervised student, calls his suitability to pass judgement on her into doubt. And anyway, he seemed to change his mind when the whole school turned out to say how much they'd missed her.)Don pretty much handpicked Sally as head, putting her in charge when he left, and I'm not sure what doubts he had.He started off saying she wasn't right for the job but then turned around and admitted he'd been trying to put her off because teaching had never made him happy and was worried the same would happen to her.

And if I was a parent at Summer Bay High, I'd be less concerned about the headteacher's private life, which hasn't affected the students, and more worried about the fact that the entire town, known criminals included, can just wander into the building whenever they feel like it, often assaulting students in the process, or that the building tends to fall down on the students every couple of years.

The Cyclone? Again? L.A.M.E.

Is Wednesday's episode the one with Dani in a bikini? Somebody's clearly reading this because the advance episode numbers have suddenly dissapeared.

If that's the case, why are they trotting out the same late-00s crap every summer?

They have started putting summaries on the EPG which they weren't last week.Tonight's sounds like 4101, so at least it's not the same as last year.Caught some of yesterday's(5689)and actually rather enjoyed it.Some funny stuff with John and Gina.Spencer and Maddy in happier times, although even first time round when they played that Perfect Two song over their reunion I noted it's basically the show's Anthem For Doomed Couples.(They used to use it over Heapril scenes and then at Liam and Bianca's wedding...)Could have done without the April and Dex stuff even if it did contain a meaningful echo for the pre-break cliffhanger.Even when breaking up they're unbearably nauseating.Demand5 confirms that was Spencer's episode, which I pretty much guessed from the trailers.

If that's a 2004 episode tomorrow, then it's like three years after Dani was raped and they've done far more to undermine the storyline in the interim(like the whole second half of 2003), so if she's wearing a bikini that's kind of nothing.Looked up 3737 briefly on the main site so got a vague idea which one that would be.Looking forward to it anyway.(If it is that episode, sounds like the then-14-year-old Matilda's the one who get the bikini scenes...We've already had her episode so it must be Dani or Kim.Far too many candidates for me to guess tonight.)

Sorry for being snarky earlier . That scene I mentioned always creeped me out because she came out of the sea in a skimpyish swimsuit and started chatting with Kane as if they were best buddies. Or am I remembering that wrong? I know that Dani's rape was made into a complete joke way before that but I remember thinking that just kind of cemented that.

It was mentioned before the episode yesterday that it was Spencer's episode... I think .
