Blaxland 89 Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 I would love it if Vanessa came back as Pippa. Debra has had the role for 20 years now so taking back Vanessa would just be a bad idea, people remember Debra when they think about Pippa not Vanessa Oh really? I had no idea Debra Lawrence had played Pippa for so long. Thank you for the information.

Well she hasns´t actually been on screen for that long, just saying most people remember Debra when they think about Pippa so bringing back Vanessa would confuse most Home and Away watchers:)

Well she hasns´t actually been on screen for that long, just saying most people remember Debra when they think about Pippa so bringing back Vanessa would confuse most Home and Away watchers:) Why would it confuse people? They're actors, Pippa is a made up character! Its happened before in other programme and viewers have been able to grasp it If they thought like that in the first place then Debra would of never played Pippa at all. There are some people out there there, not necessarily myself, that have watched the show from the beginning and still view VD as the proper Pippa. Not everything has to be catered for people who started watching the show within the last 10 years. Also DL hasn't appeared in the show since early 2009 so I bet there is a huge percentage of people youngsters that have never seen her anyway. ie the Braxton generation. Not saying it would definitely work, as lets face it, DL Pippa's last appearance wasn't a huge success, just that I'd like to see if VD come back as Pippa for a guest stint and it would make me tune in.
Jezz Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 I would love it if Vanessa came back as Pippa. So would I as I always preferred her portrayal of Pippa over Debra Lawrence. I'm not saying that Debra did a bad job. She actually did a good job and most people will remember Debra's Pippa over Vanessa's Pippa. I liked both, but Vanessa's Pippa was always the original and better Pippa in my opinion. Unfortunately I don't think Vanessa would return as Pippa. I could see Debra being asked first at the very least.
Jacklost Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 They will probably get some new actress to portray her if they ever decide to bring her back I would love it if Vanessa came back as Pippa. Can't fault you on your mathematics.
sindikatas Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 The photo of them both near a caravan kind of suggests that both Vanessa and Debra are going to reprise the role next time Pippa returns. It's Vanessa in one scene and Debra in another. I know it's not going to happen but it would be funny and that's what it looks like from the photo.

Maybe Vanessa will play Pippa´s uknown sisters no one knows about before Pippa one day finds out:)
j.laur5 Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 I like both Pippas. But I prefer Vanessa as she gave more life and charisma to the character. There were times when Debra's Pippa, could show dullness and bitterness. It looked as though Pippa was bored and had had enough. She could be very negative and too snappy at times. Where as Vanessa's Pippa, always was positive. I don't think Debra's Pippa was any more mummsy then Vanessa's Pippa,
