Still not able to record these eps due to bad signal but wanted to just mention something. I've been on another board (non-H&A) and there was talk about Channel 5 aquiring more space for another channel. A few are saying that it could be another +1 or catch-up service (like 4/7) but it looks like it may be a proper channel. Someone even said that they will be showing old episodes of shows they used to air. I'm saying this here because it has been a little suspicious that they have started up these.

Anyone else think that once this new channel is up and running then these H&A repeats will move to there?

From what I've heard it will most likely just be a channel similar to 4seven, especially considering that it's called '5 Later'. Channel 5 themselves have simply stated that it will "comprise of a selection of programmes first broadcast on Channel 5". It's currently got a placeholder at channel 55 on Freeview.

Though I don't imagine the 'early years' repeats will move there, the repeats of the normal episodes could do.

Judith and Edward first appeared in credits on the first episode of 2000. These 2000 episodes is making me want to watch the season from the beginning when it was still n ITV. Yes Leah was the latest main character at that point. Ken and Nick had already been in it in 1999. Though Nick was played by another actor. But he really looked like a mini Will. Not long before Brodie's debut.

Thanks for the info!I forgot how new Nick was at this point, the crossover between ITV and Channel 5 basically marked the point where he went from being an antagonistic newcomer to feeling like part of the cast.

Nice how Ailsa saw through Martin's façade and found out the real story about him and it was quite a touching moment when she told him that the real him was something to be proud of.A moment that will end up being even more poignant further down the line...Alf's subtle offer to Vinnie was a nicely underplayed moment.

Talking of things further down the line, Shelley's story about Dani missing out on a role in a musical because the director couldn't find their number sounds very strange given what we find out about Dani's singing ability in just a few weeks.Had to smile at Shelley deciding to take on the drop-in centre, may end up ranting about that at some point if the moment comes.Loved Nick and Duncan sitting there grinning in anticipation when they know Donald's going to come in and recognise Kirsty any second. And love that show-don't-tell bit where Shelley says Rhys is looking for her and the next time you see her she's joining Nick and Duncan on their punishment. The Sutherland twins were oddly mannered in the scene where they first see the boys outside the house, I wonder if that was shot very early on because they're fine elsewhere.Jade's comment about Kirsty getting all the nutrients in the womb before the boys give her the "What planet are you from?" look is one of those moments than in retrospect has you going "Actually, you were never in the same womb..."

Awww at Gypsy nesting, loved the way she was yelling at Joel and Vinnie to keep him things clean and then felt sorry for her when she was left on her own. That said, I felt her later tantrum at Joel was uncalled for although at least she seemed sorry when she realised she'd mucked things up for him and Judith. Was sure we'd already had that scene of her getting sore with Peta, guess it was later than I thought.I'm never sure what I think of Edward, it's nice that they tried to bring in a teenager who was a bit different and I know he's got his fans but he didn't make much of an impression on me, possibly because if you blink you miss his entire run.At times he was just a bit too out there.

Sandy used The Window!Gosh, that room was pokey back then, wasn't it?When exactly did it transmogrify into the master bedroom suite that the likes of Belle, April and Bianca slept in?

I'd forgotten Shauna was the first to pick up on Sally's OCD.I did notice during the Five Life run that with two episodes a day you end up zipping through storylines.

I don't know whether to facepalm myself or reach through cyberspace and slap you. I remember those days well and they sucked the life out of this board for a while. You were either for or against Adelle and if you just didn't care... urgh!!

So glad that five have decided to show these episodes again. Remember when they first started they ended on Jude's motorcycle accident, cliff-hanger and then no more, was not a happy bunny... Hope they keep these up for a while and don't do the same thing.

Enjoyed seeing Sally in the older episodes and comparing her to now. Is it weird that they never mention her OCD or is that just typical soap. Something important happens and then it never gets discussed again!!

Alf looks exactly the same and is still wearing those checked shirts. I swear the one from todays was the same one he wore in one of the recent ones!! Ha ha.

I was thinking the exact same thing Red Ranger. As soon as they showed Sandy coming through the window I thought wow that room is small. I also thought about Aden. I think a lot of people have gone through that window at some point.

Yeah first one to go through the window was Jesse back in 1996.

The Sutherland girls all seem to have different personalities which very quickly changed, Kirsty - all tomboy being into skateboards, Jade - What on earth, never knew she was that geeky to begin with. and Dani must of very quickly lost the gothic attitude and hairstyle look.

I do like Edward but as Red Ranger said it's sort of blink and you miss him, with him being there for so little time.

Loving the fact to that there's no talking on the credits as that 5* announcer really does grate me, most annoying voice i've ever heard, Nancy Hayes shouldnt of had the being Shauna's mother storyline could of waited till Judy Nunn returned but apart from that she does play the role pretty well.

Wow, I never realised they'd increased the size of the main bedoom downstairs at the Beach House. I knew they'd changed the layout of the furniture. It really is much bigger now.
