H&A vs Neighbours?

I dont see how this being a H&A site would have an impact on the votes. H&A gets more viewers, awards and media coverage in Oz so it does seem to be the KIng of the two soaps there.

In term of popularity I tend to agree talking to people in around Australia. Its TV magazines treat H&A a lot better than other series and I don't see that changing!

I said before both shows have their good and bad parts.

Neighbours has the Tour!.

H&A has the better location.

That's what the fans tell me.

H&A has a more colourful history even if it is slightly younger than neighbours. H&A has shown many colourful locations over the years from the Summer Bay location and surrounds and colourful characters whereas Neighbours is 99% of its time stuck with one cul de sac and a nearby cafe/pub/hotel. H&A is much more diverse.

I don't disagree with that if they (Neighbours) would leave the Melbourne area for storylines it might help them?

My goodness. I have always had fond memory of early Neighbours but watching some of it on youtube, the acting just makes me cringe. Aome of the acting was bad in early Home and Away too but nowhere near as bad.

I was asked by N fans to watch some of the current episodes.

It just wasn't the same as the past years!

therefore I admire the show as nice to fans as H&A is yet Its not on my list anymore!

I agree about the Neighbours bit esp with Max Ramsay in the early years, atrocious vile character played by an atrocious actor, but probably not vile like Max. I think some H&A scenes in the early years, even with major legendary characters was hammy at times.

Emmerdale, EastEnders and Home And Away are 3 mainstream UK or Aussie soaps that have 1 thing in common, their creators are all dead. Alan Bateman (H&A), Kevin Laffan (Emmerdale)and Tony Holland and Julia Smith (EastEnders), all have passed away. Hollyoaks, Doctors, Neighbours and Corrie creators are all alive.

I've voted H&A as I've been watching it for the last 12 years. I occasionally have watched Neighbours but it just doesn't hold my attention or have the characters to make me want to watch it. H&A all the way for me!

I had a look on the Facebook Neighbours and H&A groups. The H&A group has over 1 million likes whereas the Neighbours one has half that at about 500'000 likes. That also shows the more popular of the two is H&A.
