I am only a very casual viewer now, I dip in and out but I doubt I will be a regular viewer again for a long time if ever. As I said it is a bit more bearable but not enough for me to tun in full time again. I maybe watch what, 5 minutes a week out of 2 and a half hours worth of episodes a week.

The show just needs everything described here and a bit more to make it worth watching again for me.

God, I love that clip of the Early Years. Cheers, Blaxland '89! :P

1988? That is going back a bit lol. I don't think that's realistic, or even good practice, to hope its like it was 20 years ago. I Don't think that is the expectation here. I Think the expectation is sticking to its roots, yet feeling like its a show in 2016. IT has the latter correct, the former no.

ETA: Sorry about the UK spoiler, diddn't realize.

Oh, I know. I just liked the clip of the Early Year, that's all.

I wouldn't want it to go back to those  years either. Times change and the show needs to reflect today's world in a way that intrigues the viewers.

As stated I simply meant that things described in this clip are what the show would have to have now for me personality to start watching it again. No where have I said it should be the same as 1988. But the bare principles of good story telling, which the current shoe does not have, never change whether it's 1988, 2016 or 2116, jk Rowling, Shakespeare or dickens.

I think the fuzzy family drama days of the show are well and truly over. The format of the show seems to be the way going forward. Neighbours is not perfect but is much more watchable.

Spoiler

Especially if the Morgan's are considered the new Braxtons.
