How has he taken over? Lucy is still there. Doesn't she get the final say? I mean i doubt anyone tells her no.

I meant him being back to oversee certain stories as an editor, We know Lucy is HBIC (No prizes for that acronym means :D)

The Crime-driven show was fine in small doses but it got hard to care when Casey got beat up every week, Heath smashes someone, Brax becomes a pincushion or Kyle nearly gets capped (Slight exaggerations but not a million miles away). I believe Less is More when it comes to that kind of thing.

Well I guess the River Boys just became so popular, they had no choice but to make them regulars. I agree it was a bit much the crime driven stories every week. I mean if they actually integrated the characters in a different way. Instead of taking over the beach, with the whole Mangrove Rivers boys. It would of been better. But that is what happens when characters like Dan Ewing breakout, they tend to milk it.

Brax and Casey were regulars from as soon as they appeared so the show obviously meant to keep at least some of them around from the get-go. Heath was a recurring guest for the first six months and it looks like him being blamed for the drug crop and going to jail was originally meant to be his exit (he had what seemed like a pretty final farewell with his brothers), but because he was popular they decided to keep him on so he got released after just a few weeks.

Wonder how Bianca's character would have turned out without Heath

Without Heath? She prob would of got back with Liam. But it seemed a trend for a bit, latching a Female Character onto a Braxton. I mean how many were their? Tamara, Ruby, April Natalie, Bianca. e.t.c. Because that was their role. Most characters like Natalie and Tamara had no role beyond that. Indy was the only female character who did not date a River Boy. The Braxtons were widly popular, enough to have a spinoff special. So you know like them or not, clearly alot of people liked them, and that era of Home and Away.

Just as insufferable, I'll wager. She had her moments but I was left

To be honest I feel the crime era belonged to the Braxtons, any attempt to do it with others feels like a cheap copy so for my sake they can go back to how it was before until the Braxtons returns in the future, if they ever do..
