Are the current producers ruining Home and Away?

Ahhh it's not horrible nor is it amazing . It just is. I wouldn't say outgrown is the right word. I'm 28, and I'm enjoying the Older Characters stories more these days. 5 years ago would of been other way around haha. So maybe I am getting older lol. That's why dynamics like Matt and Roo really love. Young and Old. It feels the show is in air pilot motion. Not much going on. Maybe it needs another Charlotte end of year. But like said, wouldn't expect a change in format. As ratings are still decent enough apparently.

Ha funny I actually prefer episodes from 2008 even. For some reason. The Storylines and characters even then are more compelling. I still feel the music they use in the show is way too harsh in tone. They need to get back to a light hearted tone to the show.

I'm not too impressed with how  Home and Away is going, to be honest.

Or maybe I'm just getting too old for it and growing past it..

That's the thing though. All the issues that it dealt with in the past are still relevant today.Society hasn't changed that much.It should still be capable of attracting a range of viewers in varying ages with decent writing but it's completely different to the HAA of past for the sake of pointless crime and violence.

Some of my favourite shows include Arrow, Daredevil and Jessica Jones so it's not crime and violence I have a problem with. It's the  amount we see with no real point in a show nothing like it used to be in what should be a family friendly time slot.

Problem is I think they went to far in a change of format from 2010-2014. Now it seems it is a transisitonal time. I Think the change in format is still obviousley an issue. Their is an attempt to try be like the past. But hey have not found that balance yet, of merging the past history of the show with the present. But alas. I agree the issues in Society has not really changed. But they still deal with the well I think.

Spoiler

Recently the Cyber Bullying Storylines with Maddy and Olivia. Elly with Dyslexia.

Times change, so format has. The innocent, sweet home and away of past years, is gone. They have gone to far. I actually think Home and Away is pretty good right now, best it has been in a while. But that is just me. I Think Nostalgia can paint a certain picture, probably the case 15 years from now, prob be saying how amazing Home and Away was in 2016 haha.
